The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 171: Chapter 171: College Entrance Exam

Yao Hailai frowned at Yiyi in front of him and said, ”Mo Yiyi, since the beginning of senior year, I’ve noticed you keep taking leave. Although your grades have improved, it’s not good to keep taking leave like this. You’ll definitely fall behind in your courses.”

”Teacher, I won’t be taking any more leaves in the future. I’ll definitely study hard, and I’ve been previewing my lessons, so I haven’t fallen behind.” The tutor hired by the Chu family is really good; she hasn’t missed a single class.

Upon hearing Yiyi’s words, Yao Hailai’s expression softened somewhat.

”That’s good. The college entrance exam is coming up, so you must continue to work hard. With your current grades, there’s a good chance you’ll get into your dream university.”

”Thank you, Teacher Yao, I will definitely work hard.”

When Yiyi returned to the classroom, Fei Erya quickly pulled her aside to ask, ”So, did the class teacher say anything to you?”

”Don’t worry, Teacher Yao didn’t say anything, just told me to study hard.”

Upon hearing this, Fei Erya couldn’t help but smile, ”That’s good.”

However, when she looked at Yiyi last, there was some hesitation in her expression, and she opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing.

Yiyi originally wanted to ask, but the class bell rang, so she didn’t ask further, intending to ask at lunchtime.

”Er Ya, do you have something to tell me?”

After the last class in the morning ended, Yiyi directly asked Fei Erya, then pulled her along to go home for lunch.

Hearing Yiyi’s words, Fei Erya’s expression showed some gloom, and she couldn’t help but sigh, ”Yiyi, I... I might not stay at your house anymore; I’ll... I’ll go home after school.”

Yiyi heard this and asked Fei Erya, ”Did your family ask you to go back home?”

”Yes, although my dad’s legs have recovered quite well, he says he’s used to me living at home, and wants me to go home after school. I’ve already promised him.” Thinking of the cautious look her father had when he discussed this with her, she couldn’t bring herself to refuse and agreed directly.

Thinking that Fei Erya won’t be living with her anymore, Yiyi felt a little disappointed.

”Have you really decided to go back home? What if your mother and sister still treat you that way?”

Fei Erya smiled and said, ”Yiyi, you don’t need to worry about that; Dad has already talked to Mom and my sister. They won’t behave like that anymore.”

Yiyi didn’t believe a word of this.

”It’s easy to change rivers and mountains, but not one’s nature.” With the personalities of Yan Jie and Fei Wenya already like that, they absolutely can’t change. However, seeing Fei Erya happy, Yiyi didn’t say much, just said, ”Since you’ve made up your mind, then go home. But after the college entrance exam, can you still come over to stay? I want us to hang out properly, because it might be difficult to meet again once we start university.”

Recalling Fei Erya’s experience in her past life, Yiyi felt she absolutely shouldn’t let her stay home during the summer, lest something unexpected happen again.

Hearing Yiyi’s words, Fei Erya didn’t hesitate at all and immediately said, ”Sure, I’ll talk to Dad after the college entrance exam, and then we’ll have a good time together.”

”Okay.”

When the two arrived at the clothing store, Ding Yuejun had already prepared the meal, ”Yiyi, Er Ya, come quickly and eat.”

Yin Suxin greeted them with a smile, and the four of them had a lively meal together. Ding Yuejun was especially concerned, asking Yiyi about her class situation.

”Mom, rest assured, I’m keeping up with all the courses.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun felt relieved, ”That’s good.”

After the meal, Fei Erya also told Ding Yuejun about not being able to stay anymore.

”Er Ya, you must come over to hang out with Yiyi after vacation.”

”Mom, I’ve already invited Er Ya to come stay at our house after vacation.”

Ding Yuejun beamed with a smile, ”That’s good.”

After a bit of rest, Yiyi and Fei Erya went back to school.

Meanwhile, Ding Yuejun began designing patterns for the folding screen, ”Suxin, it’s going to be tough for you during this time; I have to embroider a screen, so I’ll have to leave the clothing tasks to you.”

”Boss, don’t worry, leave the clothes to me. During this time, we can produce some simple styles, and once you finish the screen, we’ll introduce handcrafted embroidery outfits.”

”Sounds good.”

Ding Yuejun immersed herself in embroidery, while Yiyi entered her final review stage. By the end of June, all senior students entered their final push.

”Yiyi, during the exam, make sure to maintain a usual mindset; I’m sure you can get into the university you want.” At the end of the last day of review, Fei Erya raised her arm to cheer Yiyi on, as well as herself.

Seeing Fei Erya’s slightly nervous appearance, Yiyi couldn’t help but smile, ”Okay, I’ll treat it with a usual mindset. You shouldn’t be nervous either, just treat the college entrance exam as a regular test; you’ll definitely do well.”

Fei Erya’s grades were already good, and she had improved further during senior year. She was ranked top three in the grade during mock exams, so as long as she performed normally, she’d definitely achieve good results.

”Okay, I won’t be nervous.”

After hearing Yiyi’s words, Fei Erya felt her previously tense mind relax. She smiled slightly at Yiyi and said, ”See you on the 7th.”

”Mm.”

After chatting a few more words, they waved goodbye to each other.

When Yiyi arrived back home, Ding Yuejun was already there. Seeing her daughter, she quickly said, ”Yiyi, dinner’s ready, come and eat.”

Looking at the table full of dishes, Yiyi couldn’t help but say, ”Mom, you prepared way too much, the two of us definitely can’t finish it.”

”You’re about to start; of course, you need to replenish yourself properly.”

Hearing her mother’s words, Yiyi was amused and helpless, but ultimately, she obediently ate two bowls of rice and lots of dishes.

Seeing her daughter eat so much, Ding Yuejun was delighted, ”Exactly, you should eat more. Starting tomorrow, I’ll make chicken soup for you.”

”Mom, no need for chicken soup; the weather’s getting hot now, and greasy food isn’t good. Something lighter is better.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun nodded, ”Alright, I’ll make clam soup for you tomorrow.”

The next day, Ding Yuejun prepared a sumptuous meal.

Yiyi ate until her belly was round.

On the morning of the 7th, after breakfast, Yiyi headed straight to the school.

”Yiyi, you’re here! Go find out which examination room you’re in.” Fei Erya spotted Yiyi coming over and quickly called out.

Upon hearing this, Yiyi took her exam admission card to find the examination room, preparing to wait at the entrance half an hour before the exam started.

”We ended up in different examination rooms,” Fei Erya said regretfully.

Yiyi simply smiled, ”Let’s meet up after the exams are over.”
