The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1548: Chapter 1565: The Soup She Made Herself 1

As the butler anxiously waited by the phone, still shaken, the phone rang again.

”How serious is the injury?”

”She... she cut her index finger... She won’t let us apply medicine or disinfect it, just put on a band-aid... then drove us out. The Young Mistress said you like the soup she makes, so she insisted no one interferes...”

”Did she really say that?” A glimmer of light flashed in Nangong Yaoling’s eyes.

The butler wiped his sweat: ”Yes... yes.”

Actually, he made this up himself, recalling that last time when the Young Mistress made soup for the Young Master, he drank several bowls in a row. This time, the Young Mistress surely thought the same.

To make the Young Master happy, he casually uttered this sentence.

”I understand, hang up.” Nangong Yaoling said lightly.

”Yes... yes, Young Master!” The butler wiped his cold sweat, and only after the line was hung up did he respectfully hang up the phone.

While patting his chest in a dazed moment, he suddenly heard a ”clang” from the kitchen.

The butler shivered violently, his face changed dramatically, and he froze for a second before panicking and rushing to the kitchen.

Xia Xiaonuan accidentally dropped the pot lid on the floor.

It was too hot, and although she wore a thin insulating cover, she still got burned.

”Oh! Young Mistress, my dear... I’m begging you, please have mercy and stop doing this work...” The butler, seeing Xia Xiaonuan standing there intact, breathed a sigh of relief and pleaded tearfully.

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

Xiaonuan, holding the insulated lunch box, walked towards the hospital room, a bit anxious.

Perhaps Nangong Yaoling wouldn’t see her, but regardless, she was not here specifically to see him. Of course, if she could see him, that would be great, but if he was still angry with her, she’d just leave the soup and go.

She remembered he particularly liked drinking the soup she made.

The hospital corridor was filled with flowers, both common and rare varieties, packed full along the hallway. Xiaonuan followed the scent of flowers to the front of the hospital room, thinking it must be to prevent Nangong Yaoling from getting a pollen allergy, so all the flowers sent by others were piled outside.

Maybe she should have bought some flowers when she came, but she left too hastily and rushed here by taxi. Now that she thought about it, she regretted, though Nangong Yaoling doesn’t seem concerned about such things anyway.

”Young Mistress, you’re here.” The guard at the door saw her and quickly stepped forward with a smile to greet her respectfully.

Xiaonuan also smiled and asked, ”Is your Young Master feeling better? What’s he doing?”

”Young Master is sleeping inside at the moment.”

For some reason, Xiaonuan’s heart suddenly leaped with joy.

She quickly said, ”I made some soup for him, I’ll bring it in...”

”This...” The guards exchanged glances, seeming a bit hesitant.

”Young Mistress, maybe you should hand it over...”

Xiaonuan hurriedly interrupted them, deliberately lowering her voice, ”Don’t worry, I won’t wake him, I’ll just take a quick look and leave.”

Meanwhile, inside the hospital room, sitting on the bed Nangong Yaoling, upon hearing the voices, slightly curled the corner of his lips. Unable to resist, he carefully tucked away his laptop, his handsome face illuminated with a peculiar light, his jaw slightly tight, intently listening.

”Just let me in, I will be very quiet.” Xia Xiaonuan’s voice came from outside, and the man’s handsome brows slightly lifted, his deep eyes narrowing at the left eye, revealing a hint of secret joy.
