The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1542 -1559: Young Master Doesn’t Want to See You Right Now 2

But it was all too late.

The elevator went “ding——”. The elevator doors opened, Xia Xiaonuan raised her eyes, lowered her head ready to go inside, when suddenly a voice sounded above her.

“Xia Xiaonuan, what are you doing here?”

Xia Xiaonuan looked up, staring at Liang Yuzhu standing in the elevator.

She held a lunchbox in her hand, walked out of the elevator, standing in front of Xia Xiaonuan, her eyes seemingly full of hatred.

“Xia Xiaonuan, how do you still have the nerve to show up here? Do you know, my brother was almost killed because of you! Even in his coma, he still calls out your name, but you? All you do is play the victim in front of the Young Master, what else can you do?”

Xia Xiaonuan stared blankly at Liang Yuzhu.

Thinking of Liang Shaochen, she couldn’t help but ask in confusion: “What happened to Shaochen?”

She seemed to have forgotten what Nangong Yaoling told her, about the two men fighting over a woman.

Liang Yuzhu couldn’t help but sneer, looking at her with disdain: “Still pretending? My brother is in the ward upstairs now! They say the Young Master and my brother fought all because of you! But my brother suffered such severe injuries, now he’s even blind, and you can’t even be bothered to visit! You truly have a heart of stone!”

As she spoke, she suddenly reached out, forcefully shoving Xia Xiaonuan.

Xia Xiaonuan was pushed back a step, the bodyguard stepped forward to stop Liang Yuzhu and said, “Miss Yuzhu, don’t cause trouble, the Young Master is inside.”

Liang Yuzhu heard Nangong Yaoling’s name, her eyes flickered with a bit of fear, she glared fiercely at Xia Xiaonuan, then walked inside.

Xia Xiaonuan stepped into the elevator, in the confined space, she felt somewhat unable to breathe.

Her mind only reverberated with Liang Yuzhu’s sharp and piercing words.

“My brother suffered such severe injuries, now he’s even blind…”

How could this be? She thought Shaochen was only hurt, but… how could he be blind?

Xia Xiaonuan felt her legs weaken, fingertips trembling.

She used her trembling fingers to press the button for the upper floor.

They’re currently on the 22nd floor, Liang Shaochen should be on the 23rd floor.

The bodyguards standing beside her exchanged glances, saying nothing.

Xia Xiaonuan asked a nurse and learned that Liang Shaochen’s ward was at the far end.

She walked all the way inside, the bodyguards attempting to follow, Xia Xiaonuan turned and said, “You wait here, I won’t run away.”

The bodyguards were helpless, reluctantly replying, “Yes, Miss…”

Xia Xiaonuan came to Liang Shaochen’s ward, the door was ajar, she vaguely saw through the gap, Liang Shaochen lying in the bed. His head bandaged, even his eyes were wrapped, resting peacefully.

Xia Xiaonuan didn’t want to wake him, so she just gently nudged the door open, quietly walking towards the bed.

The man was breathing evenly, his face had become thin and pale. His features appeared even sharper, Xia Xiaonuan’s eyes fixed on his eyes wrapped in gauze.

Tears unknowingly streamed from her eyes.

She thought of her childhood, Nan Mo placing many toys beside her bed, thinking of him pushing her on the swing set, thinking of him fighting with a few boys because of her, ending up covered in mud.

Even now, she still couldn’t forget the things they did together; so vivid, just like yesterday.

Even if he was no longer the love of her life, he still, forever held an irreplaceable place in her heart. Just like Qiqi to Nangong Yaoling.
