The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1510: Chapter 1527: You Still Can’t Let Him Go 4

Initially, he wanted to spend more time with his mom at the hospital, but thinking of Xiaonuan returning alone, and the fact he had promised her they would travel today, only for it to fall through mid-way, he couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty.

Therefore, after seeing his mother asleep, he hurriedly rushed back.

However, as soon as he entered the house, he did not see Xia Xiaonuan’s figure.

”Young Master, didn’t you... didn’t you go on a trip? Why have you returned?” the butler quickly approached, asking curiously.

”Young Mistress isn’t home?” Nangong Yaoling glanced around, furrowing his brow as he asked. From the butler’s tone, it seemed he still didn’t know they hadn’t gone, could it be Xiaonuan hadn’t returned home?

”Young Mistress...” the butler slightly furrowed his brows and quickly said, ”Young Master, Young Mistress hasn’t come back since she left with you this afternoon.”

Nangong Yaoling’s expression subtly changed.

”I understand.” With that, he got up, walked to the sofa, tossed the car keys onto the coffee table, and took his phone to dial Xia Xiaonuan’s number.

However, after calling several times, no one picked up.

Nangong Yaoling’s face grew increasingly grim, swiftly hanging up, he dialed the driver’s number.

”Ah... Young Master... Young Mistress... Young Mistress said she wanted to wander by herself, to go to the central square for a walk, and told me to return alone...”

”You fool, didn’t I tell you to take her home?” Nangong Yaoling shouted angrily.

”I’m sorry, Young Master! Young Mistress... I...” the driver was utterly terrified, the car was already parked at the hospital entrance, who knew the Young Master would have returned home...

Nangong Yaoling fiercely hung up the call.

Thinking for a moment, he hurriedly grabbed his car keys, stood up, and rushed out the door.

Meanwhile, Xia Xiaonuan was sitting on a bench in the square, beside her a boutique was having a sale, music blaring, so she didn’t hear the phone in her bag.

”Why are you here alone?”

”I... I originally wanted to go home, but when I passed by here, seeing how popular it looked, I decided to take a look...” Xia Xiaonuan replied with a smile. For some reason, smelling the faint mint scent from him made her inexplicably nervous.

”Didn’t expect you to enjoy joining the crowds?” Liang Shaochen joked. The man’s clear eyes under his long eyelashes were glistening with an enchanting light.

Watching him deliberately light-heartedly teasing her, Xia Xiaonuan couldn’t help but smile too, yet the smile didn’t reach her eyes.

”Oh right, I heard Mrs. Nangong returned, is she... okay?” Liang Shaochen asked, probing and watching Xia Xiaonuan.

Upon hearing this, Xia Xiaonuan’s eyes slightly darkened.

”She... she just fainted and now... she’s in the hospital.”

Liang Shaochen’s pupils shrank slightly.

So that’s it.

He remembered Mrs. Nangong always having good health, why would she suddenly faint?

Was there something suspicious going on? Otherwise, Xiaonuan wouldn’t have come here alone in a bad mood, right?

However, who could be the one sending the text message?

Liang Shaochen was very confused, but had no time to think, only seeing her lonely expression, he said, ”Mrs. Nangong has always been in good health, why would she suddenly faint?”

”Maybe... it’s too hot; the doctor said a few days’ rest and she’ll be fine...” She was also curious, but seeing Mrs. Nangong, it didn’t look like she was pretending.

Still, if it was true, everything seemed a bit too coincidental.

”Don’t let yourself be too stressed, if you need any help, feel free to let me know, I’m always willing to assist.”
