The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1538: Chapter 1555: Did Nangong Yaoling Die?

Qin Yi was holding a gun on the yacht, rapidly firing at the heads of several great white sharks.

Soon, several whale sharks stopped biting and flipped their white bellies over the sea surface.

A few subordinates quickly jumped from the yacht to rescue people.

Xia Xiaonuan woke up lying on the big bed in the yacht’s bedroom.

Nangong Yaoling was always like this; no matter where they went, the bed he prepared was always big and comfortable. This made her very satisfied. Because every time she woke up on a comfortable big bed, facing the sunlight coming through the window, there was an inexplicable feeling of happiness.

That made one involuntarily want to smile.

But today, the bed was still very soft and comfortable, yet she felt sore and weak all over, as if she was carrying a heavy burden. Her sleep was not restful, and when she opened her eyes, the room was dark, with a bright light outside the window brightening the entire bedroom.

She looked at everything in front of her somewhat confused, and then suddenly, the memories came rushing back. When the scene of Nangong Yaoling being chased by a group of sharks flashed through her mind, it was as if a bolt of lightning crossed her brain, and she almost jumped up from the bed.

She widened her eyes, looking around, then sprang from the bed like a madwoman and rushed out of the bedroom. As she pulled open the door, there were two bodyguards standing guard.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, the bodyguards turned around and, seeing she was awake, had a look of surprise.

They quickly and respectfully asked, ”Young Lady... you’re awake?”

Xia Xiaonuan grabbed one of them by the arm, urgently asking, ”Where is Nangong Yaoling? How is he? Has he... has he died?” The last question was almost asked through tears.

The bodyguards’ expressions were not good; they exchanged glances.

”Hurry up and say something! Where is he? How is he?”

Xia Xiaonuan said, trying to push past the guards to run outside.

But one of the bodyguards quickly stepped forward to stop her.

”Young Lady, please don’t search, the Young Master he...”

Xia Xiaonuan’s eyes widened, her heart sinking.

The bodyguard was about to speak again, but she suddenly covered her ears and shook her head, shouting, ”Don’t say it... I don’t believe it! I don’t believe it!”

She felt as if her nerves were about to collapse into despair, her eyes wide with terror to prevent the other from speaking words of hopelessness.

”Rest assured, the Young Master isn’t dead... but he is seriously injured and has already been airlifted to the hospital by helicopter... our yacht is also rushing back...”

Although Xia Xiaonuan was covering her ears, she still heard the bodyguard’s words.

She stood there frozen, then burst into tears and laughter... she covered her mouth, unable to contain her excitement.

”He’s not dead... not dead...” Suddenly, she became slightly hysterical, grabbing the man’s collar: ”What did you say? He’s seriously injured? Did a shark bite him? Where is he injured? Is it serious?”

The bodyguard was grabbed and could see the look of Xia Xiaonuan, a hint of sympathy flashed in his eyes. He glanced at his companion and stammered, ”Young Lady, we don’t know either, but... but the Young Master wasn’t bitten by the sharks...”

The other bodyguard quickly added, ”Young Lady, the Young Master has a gunshot wound infection and excessive blood loss. Because the situation was too urgent, Mr. Qin sent a helicopter to take him to the hospital.”

Upon hearing this, Xia Xiaonuan released the bodyguard’s collar, stepping back and gripping the door frame to barely stand.
