The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1547: Chapter 1563: Worried About That Woman (Part 3)

However, he still couldn’t forgive her self-harm behavior. Every time he thought of her threatening to die on the tablet, he wished he could grab that hateful woman and give her a good spanking.

Nangong Yaoling took one last look at the tightly closed bedroom door on the video and slowly closed the laptop screen.

When Xiaonuan woke up, it was already midday the next day.

After having lunch, or rather breakfast, she sat alone in the living room in a daze.

Thinking of Nangong Yaoling in the hospital, she couldn’t help but feel worried.

She had the servant buy some ingredients for making soup and then went to the kitchen herself, intending to make some bone broth for Nangong Yaoling.

She knew he didn’t want to see her, but she just wanted to do something for him. She could deliver the soup and then leave.

”Young Mistress, let me do it. You should go and rest.”

Xia Xiaonuan shook her head, ”I’m fine, you all can leave now. I can handle it myself.”

The servant had no choice but to nod.

Housekeeper Li nagged on the side, ”Young Mistress, take it slow... Be careful not to cut your hand... Please... Let me do it... You’re not meant to do such rough work... If Young Master finds out you went into the kitchen yourself, he would be distressed...”

”Ah...” Just then, Xiaonuan suddenly let out a small cry, dropping the knife in her hand.

The housekeeper quickly rushed forward, ”Oh dear! I told you not to do it, see, you cut your hand, didn’t you? Quickly come out, I’ll have someone fetch you some medicine...”

Xia Xiaonuan looked at the blood flowing from her index finger and helplessly glanced at the housekeeper.

”I’m really fine, everything was okay, but you kept nagging beside me, and I got distracted and cut my hand!” She had let her mind wander after hearing the housekeeper say Nangong Yaoling would be distressed, and she didn’t notice.

The housekeeper looked embarrassed.

”I’m sorry... Young Mistress, I was worried about you...”

At this moment, a servant brought over a medicine box, preparing to help her apply medicine and clean the wound. Xiaonuan simply took a band-aid from it and rinsed the wound with clean water.

The wound was half a centimeter long, right on the pad of her index finger, and blood kept flowing. She didn’t care at all and casually put a band-aid on it.

”Young Mistress, you can’t do it like this... At the very least, you should apply some Yunnan Baiyao...” The housekeeper started nagging again.

Xiaonuan extended her hand and pushed them both out of the kitchen, ”I’m fine, you all can go! This little wound is nothing!”

The housekeeper had no choice but to leave the kitchen with the servant.

Just then, the phone in the living room rang.

The housekeeper hurried to answer it.

When he heard the voice on the phone, his face turned pale.

”Young... Young Master...”

”What happened? How did the Young Mistress get injured?” A voice full of frosty chill coldly questioned.

”Young Master... well... the Young Mistress insisted on making soup for you, and just now she accidentally cut her hand while slicing ginger, I...”

The housekeeper broke into a cold sweat, regretting that he didn’t insist on stopping the Young Mistress from entering the kitchen. He knew the Young Master would be angry...

”Are you all just freeloading? With so many people in the house, and three chefs, why let her cook? What am I paying you for?!” Nangong Yaoling shouted angrily.

”Young Master... I... I’m sorry... The Young Mistress... she drove all the chefs away and wouldn’t let the servants intervene...”

Nangong Yaoling slammed down the phone with a ”bang.”
