The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 344: Chapter 344 Yulang, Sorry for the Inconvenience

Niu Pan’er felt a bit anxious. What should she say when she sees him?

Yuan Yi didn’t understand why the Commandery Princess wanted to come. Clearly, that pretty boy had already done something foolish. Hmph, how dare he dislike the Commandery Princess? Why didn’t he drown instead!

Song Ci walked out from Song Zhiyu’s room and upon seeing Niu Pan’er, her eyes smiled even before she spoke.

”Pan’er, why are you here?”

Niu Pan’er gathered her thoughts. Upon seeing Song Ci, she felt a bit shy, possibly because she was about to become her daughter-in-law. Her ears slightly turned red as she gave a ceremonial bow to Song Ci.

”Madam, I’m sorry to disturb you.”

Jiang and Lu looked at Commandery Princess Dongyang, who was wearing riding clothes with her hair tied in a high ponytail, with curiosity, as she was to be their future sister-in-law.

Niu Pan’er’s status was more noble than theirs, so the two had to step forward to greet her.

Niu Pan’er avoided them, returned a bow, and said somewhat reservedly, ”You two Madams do not need to be overly polite.”

Jiang, who was originally from a merchant family and had practiced martial arts since childhood, had a bold and straightforward personality. She greatly admired the martial artist Niu Pan’er, feeling a sense of camaraderie, and said with a smile, ”Courtesy must not be abandoned. Although we will be family in the future, we haven’t officially married yet, so we must not lose etiquette.”

Niu Pan’er felt a bit bashful at these words.

Madam Song said, ”It’s the Commandery Princess’s first time visiting our residence, Mother, so let’s not stand here talking. Why don’t we invite her inside to drink some tea and chat?”

”Yes, yes, look at me, I’m overwhelmed with joy.” Song Ci held Niu Pan’er’s hand and said, ”You’ve come for that silly boy, right? You don’t need to worry. That rascal managed to accidentally fall into the water just standing in the pavilion. I’m so embarrassed for him.”

Niu Pan’er was stunned, ”An accident?”

”Yes, what, did you listen to the nonsense outside and think that he wanted to jump into the lake because he was upset?” Song Ci said with a chuckle, ”I know my own son; he’s not that foolish. If he ever had such a thought, I’d be the first to pinch him to death and save everyone the heartache. Let me tell you, the only reason he’d be upset is if he ran out of money and became a pauper, then maybe he’d think of dying.”

Niu Pan’er: ”...”

”Since you’re here, go and have a talk with him. After all, you’re both betrothed, and the wedding date is set, so meeting in private isn’t against the rules. After you’ve talked, come and chat with me.” She turned to Si Xi, ”Si Xi, take the Commandery Princess to your Young Master’s room.”

Si Xi responded with an ”aye.”

Seeing this, Niu Pan’er said, ”I’ll be right back.”

Song Ci nodded with a smile.

Song Zhiyu was about to pretend to be dead when he heard Si Xi outside announcing the arrival of the Commandery Princess Dongyang.

”Not seeing anyone, I’m asleep.”

Si Xi: ”Madam said if you throw a tantrum, your monthly salary will be docked.”

Song Zhiyu: ”...”

Mother is truly ruthless.

He sat up angrily, glaring at the screen, and saw a tall, slender figure appear on the other side. As she turned, it was revealed to be Niu Pan’er.

Their eyes met, filled with embarrassment.

”I came to check on you.” Niu Pan’er seemed at a loss with her hands.

Song Zhiyu felt even more awkward and muttered, ”What’s there to see? Not like I’m broken or naked.”

He was still that same Song Yulang.

Niu Pan’er let out a small smile and walked over, ”They said you fell into the water!”

Song Zhiyu immediately said, ”It was an accident, truly an accident. Don’t flatter yourself; why would I die for you?”

”I know.” Niu Pan’er looked at him, clutching the quilt, with a slightly pale and haggard face, appearing somewhat pitiable. Her heart softened, and she said, ”Yulang, I’m sorry for your grievance.”
