The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 299: Chapter 299: Song Duidui Goes Online for Business

Upon hearing that Old Lord Song returned to the mansion, Song Ci’s first thought was whether to feign an illness, preferably a contagious one, to avoid meeting that doughy face.

But as soon as the thought emerged, she dismissed it. Joking aside, she, the dignified Old Madam, the Old Lord, didn’t need to pretend to be sick just to avoid some old man, did she?

No need at all, no need at all.

”Back to the mansion, just back, why make such a fuss? It’s not like he’s some massive flood or beast.” Song Ci forced herself not to care.

Nanny Gong glanced at her. She said she didn’t care at all, but the constipation-like expression sold her out.

Song Ci thought of something and asked, ”Did he bring back both concubines?”

”Only Concubine Mei came back, but...” Hong You licked the corner of her lips, timidly glancing at Song Ci.

Song Ci’s heart instantly tightened. See, she knew nothing good would come from that doughy face’s return; there must be some trickery.

”Go on, I’ll find out sooner or later.”

Only then did Hong You say, ”Old Lord Song also brought back a woman with the last name Shui, claiming she’s the new concubine.”

Song Ci’s scalp tingled. Damn, this old thing truly falls for any woman he sees—what a lecher!

Hongtao walked in from outside and said, ”Madam, Old Lord is here.”

Song Ci’s eyelid twitched as she sat up straight, watching the doughy face walk in behind Hongtao.

Well, well, in just two or three months, the doughy face had swelled into a big bun. Look at that chubby face, that big belly—Amitabha indeed.

”You old woman, the man returns, don’t you know to at least greet him?” Old Lord Song huffed as he saw Song Ci sitting on the Arhat bed without moving.

Song Ci: ”Are you the Jade Emperor? Why should I greet you? Without a greeting, you’re still able to walk in, aren’t you? You say you’ve been enjoying yourself outside, why come back here?” It just obstructs the view.

”This is my house; I come back as I please. Do I need your permission?” Old Lord Song grew displeased at seeing her disgusted expression.

After that illness, the old woman acted like she was possessed, showing no favor to him, always countering his words. Hmph, all those previous niceties were just a facade; now the fox’s tail has been exposed.

Song Ci sneered, ”Your house? Come and go as you please, huh. This house is actually a hostel to you.”

”You!” Old Lord Song glared in silence, turned his head, and said, ”I won’t bicker with you, speaking nonsense wastes breath.”

Song Ci thought, ’As if anyone wants to talk to you, just get lost quickly.’

Seeing her lack of response, Old Lord Song coughed and said, ”Well, Concubine Zhou has been sent away by me.”

Song Ci: ”Concubine Zhou should thank your ancestors for eighteen generations.”

That charming, delightful, and beautiful young girl, throwing herself at your old fat self, what a waste.

Old Lord Song: ”...”

Clearly a jab! Infuriating enough to make him want to explode!

”She’s gone, so I lack someone to serve me, so I brought back a replacement. Surely you can allow me to take concubines if not a second wife? There’s an outside sister, just have her pour you a cup of tea, and she’ll be family. Go, bring in Concubine Shui to kowtow to Madam.”

Here it comes!

”Don’t go!” Song Ci glared at Hongtao, then turned to Old Lord Song with a sneer, ”Sister? I was a child bride of the Song Family, with no family of my own. Where did this sister come from, sprung from a rock? Family, my foot, she’s in league with ghosts.”

Old Lord Song couldn’t help jumping up with hands on his hips, ”What do you want? I’m not taking a second wife! I still can’t take concubines? You’re being jealous, one of the seven outs!”
