Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”If I don’t open the door, does that mean you won’t even know to knock?” Beitang Yao reached out to take the water and medicine from her hands. ”The water’s cold. Are you asking me to take medicine with cold water? Do you have any common sense? Medicine should be taken with warm water!”

Xia Qingqian was stunned; she didn’t even know how she had entered the room.

Once she regained her senses, she was already sitting on Ruan Ruan’s large bed. As Beitang Yao placed the medicine and water cup on the bedside table, he immediately leaned over her, gazing at her for a long time before speaking. ”Why didn’t you tell me something like this happened? Are you an idiot? Are you just going to bear with this disgrace? I let you be my woman, not to be mistreated in the castle!”

How could she be so foolish? To be plotted against like that!

Before she could react, he reached out and pulled her into his embrace. In a deep voice, he said, ”I shouldn’t have let you stay in the castle, let you suffer such indignity!”

Xia Qingqian was shocked; she had thought Beitang Yao would be very angry, but not only was he not angry, he seemed to feel guilty about what happened.

”I will make them pay the price!” Beitang Yao’s cold voice rang out beside her ear, making her tremble involuntarily.

She quickly said, ”Young Master Yao, don’t—it’s not their fault, it was my mistake from the start. I shouldn’t have gotten so close to Young Master Che, leading them to misunderstand...”

”Didn’t I tell you to absolutely not stick together with anyone? Why don’t you listen?” Beitang Yao released her, his face cold as he spoke.

”I wanted to learn how to make pastries, to cook for you, so I asked Young Master Che for advice. I’m sorry, I didn’t know things would turn out like this...” She lowered her head, not daring to look at him, biting her lip and speaking quietly.

Seeing her shoulders trembling with sobs, his heart softened as well. He certainly didn’t want to make her cry, he feared and despised women crying the most.

”I don’t care for those things. If you want to learn, I can hire a pastry chef for you. There’s no need to interact with people in the castle.” Beitang Yao lifted her chin, looking at her warm eyes, helplessly shaking his head, ”I won’t eat you, why are you aggrieved? I’m just telling you the facts.”

At that time, he really should have taken her away to avoid such things happening.

”You’re tired, go shower and sleep. I’m counting on you to take care of me.” Beitang Yao released her and lazily said.

Xia Qingqian nodded and obediently got up, took out her pajamas, and headed to the bathroom, locking the door behind her. Hearing the locking sound, Beitang Yao chuckled lightly; does she think he’s such a pervert? He wouldn’t go in to spy on her, is it necessary to lock the bathroom door?

Beitang Yao looked at the medicine on the bedside table, picked up the water cup, walked to the water dispenser, and poured a cup of warm water, then obediently took the medicine.

Without waiting for Xia Qingqian to come out, Beitang Yao began to feel his head grow heavy, so he took off his bathrobe, slipped into the blankets, lay down, closed his eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.

When she finished her shower and came out, Beitang Yao was already asleep, a seemingly satisfied smile lingered on his peaceful face, along with a hint of fatigue. The faint light from the bedside table gently fell on his cheeks, highlighting his handsome face to appear even softer, almost enchanting.

The long, dark eyelashes that made women envious fluttered gently.
