Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Okay, then go back early and rest early. Wait until I finish handling things here, wait for me to come back.” Beitang Yao propped up his head with one hand, looking very exhausted.

After hanging up, Beitang Yao then picked up the glass of plain water by his side and took his medicine.

At this time, the study door was pushed open, and Ye Feng came in with a stack of high documents, gently placing them on the desk. He then walked up to Beitang Yao, saying with some concern, ”Young Master, you caught a cold right off the plane. How about waiting until you recover before working?”

”It’s fine, I just took some medicine, I should manage.” Beitang Yao’s speech carried a slight nasal tone, his eyes felt a bit sore, and his vision was not very clear.

”Young Master, illness can be serious or minor! Work can be set aside, it won’t be too late to continue after you recover!” Ye Feng knew that the Young Master usually treated two days’ worth of work as one. Now with someone at home waiting for him to return, the Young Master is definitely working as if using three days in one!

If this continues, how can the Young Master keep his body in check? Fortunately, Xia Qingqian insisted on bringing the Young Master with her to France. If not, who knows what to do if the Young Master fell ill!

”Brew a pot of coffee and bring it in, then you can go rest.” Beitang Yao said as he picked up the top document and started reviewing it.

Ye Feng sighed lightly and retreated, holding a phone, wanting to dial a certain number, but a cold voice came from behind: ”Ye Feng, you don’t need to interfere in my matters, and don’t tell her, just do your part.”

Ye Feng then put the phone in his pocket, shook his head, sighed lightly, and went to brew the coffee.

The Young Master, really! For the sake of a woman, there’s no need to work so hard, just to get back to see her early, right? Is his health not important?

Now only Xia Qingqian can persuade the Young Master to rest well, but the Young Master wouldn’t let him make that call. In his heart, he secretly prayed that the Young Master would give Xia Qingqian another call, and then Xia Qingqian would hear that deep nasal tone, realize the Young Master was ill, and persuade him properly.

But he waited until the next day and didn’t see that the Young Master had any intention of calling Xia Qingqian, just occasionally made a few calls to inquire about the situation on the French company’s side, contacted several banks, and had the company’s internal accountants prepare a report.

Ye Feng also kept the Young Master company through the night, until he brought lunch into the Young Master’s study, only to see the Young Master’s head leaning against the leather chair, eyebrows deeply furrowed, only then did Ye Feng feel relieved a bit, at least the Young Master was willing to rest.

As Ye Feng tried to retreat quietly, Beitang Yao suddenly opened his eyes, coughed a few times, his throat dry and hoarse, even speaking was difficult. He frowned, rubbed his throat: ”Ye Feng, I need a glass of water...”

Ye Feng turned back immediately, seeing the Young Master’s voice was even more hoarse than last night, and his complexion pale as paper, not daring to delay for a moment, went to pour a glass of water, handed it to Beitang Yao, and said: ”Young Master, please go rest now! From last night till now, you haven’t rested well!”

Looking at the thick stack of documents on the desk, already moved to the other side, one glance and it was clear, the Young Master spent the whole night and morning reviewing them all!
