Capítulo 1243: Chapter 1236: Golden Spirit Grass (Eighth Update)

Botany is a major course.

Afternoon.

After two hours of botany theory class in the large lecture hall, the teacher then took the students to the college’s botanical garden.

Because it is a major course, all six freshmen classes from the Pharmacy College attended together.

Almost three hundred people headed to the botanical garden, making it look very crowded.

“When entering the botanical garden, you must observe discipline! Do not trample on any flowers and plants recklessly, and must not pick them randomly!”

The female teacher Lee Xuan, who teaches the freshmen botanics course at the Pharmacy College, is petite with a constant smile on her face, but she has a strict style, speaking sternly, “This time entering the botanical garden is to let everyone recognize more herbal plants!”

As they walked, Lee Xuan continued, “Most of the botanical herbs inside have tags beside them with simple introductions written about their names, classifications, forms, ecology, distribution, and uses!”

“To truly learn Traditional Chinese Medicine well, botany must be a solid foundation! Even for Chinese herbal medicine used ordinarily, there are at least hundreds of types! This needs to be memorized down to the last detail, remembering their properties and compatibilities. Of course, everyone is just getting a preliminary understanding now, and remembering that many Chinese herbal medicines will take a long time…”

Lee Xuan’s words made many students look extremely serious.

This concerns their future careers; being here is about becoming a true practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine!

The botanical garden has a dedicated caretaker, who granted admission after Lee Xuan’s negotiation.

The entire botanical garden was like a huge park, filled with various flowers, plants, and trees, with a fragrant aroma lingering in the air.

Amongst the large plots of herbal flowers, cobblestone paths were paved and interspersed.

Lee Xuan walked ahead, leading the group of students behind her while pointing to the herbs they passed by and introducing them one by one.

Many students took out their notebooks and diligently recorded everything down.

Lin Tian walked with the crowd for a while, discovering that along the way it was all very common herbal medicine, which were almost useless for him.

Finally, taking advantage of the crowd’s inattention, he quietly slipped away by himself, heading into the deeper part of the botanical garden.

Lin Tian walked alone, releasing his Divine Sense to scan over the large areas of herbs along the way.

This botanical garden was very large, comparable to half the campus.

As he proceeded, Lin Tian saw hundreds and thousands of herbs, surprising him greatly.

“There are quite a few precious herbs, but they are commonly found in the market and their effects are limited!”

Having circled most of the garden with no discoveries, Lin Tian couldn’t help but shake his head.

However.

When he reached a pond in the deeper part of the garden, his eyes suddenly lit up.

Amidst a yellow bamboo grove not far from the pond’s edge, he found a rare Spiritual Grass!

Indeed!

It was Spiritual Grass!

A type of Spiritual Grass with little Spiritual Energy and low elixir value!

But for Lin Tian, this was exactly what he needed!

“Golden Spirit Grass! It’s true that one might search high and low only to find it effortlessly!”

Lin Tian walked into the bamboo grove, looking at the Spiritual Grass before him, his face showing excitement as he softly murmured, “The Golden Spirit Qi contained in Golden Spirit Grass may not be much, but it has a special function to thoroughly improve ordinary soil into Golden Spirit Qi soil! If taken back to be planted in the flower beds at the Siheyuan, it will greatly assist the growth of Taixuan Grass, even without Golden Spirit Liquid irrigation, there will be no worry!”

“Since the Golden Spirit Grass grows here, no wonder this bamboo grove is showing a pale yellow color!”

The Golden Spirit Grass, with leaves tinged with gold, had its entire body shimmering with specks of Golden Light.

And this Golden Light couldn’t be seen without looking closely.

From a distance, it just seemed like an ordinary herb.

But, this was truly a piece of Spiritual Grass, even if only a very low-level one, it was very special!

Lin Tian looked around, finding no one else, he smoothly stored the Golden Spirit Grass into his Storage Bag.

Class dismissal time was not yet.

Lin Tian was in no hurry to leave and continued towards the deeper part of the botanical garden.

After bypassing the pond in front, he saw a two-story classical building courtyard, Lin Tian approached, finding no one, he looked inside, planning to leave.

But upon looking, he was stunned.

“Late Night Fragrant Herb? Isn’t this one of the favorite herbs of Poison Cultivators! However, when combined with Wuwei it can actually save lives, making it a double-edged herbal medicine!”

Lin Tian looked at the corner of the courtyard, showing a puzzled expression.

In the courtyard corner, there was a piece of entirely black herb, emitting waves of black aura.

Ordinary people’s naked eye cannot see that aura, but Lin Tian saw it, so he recognized the herb immediately.

However.

The black aura was very weak, and dark yellow spots appeared on the Late Night Fragrant Herb’s stalks.

“Who planted the Late Night Fragrant Herb, placed it in a damp and dark place, and used black soil to plant it, which is completely counterproductive; no wonder it’s almost dead!”

Lin Tian glanced at the Late Night Fragrant Herb, shook his head while murmuring, he looked around again, saw no one else, and after hesitating for a while, walked into the courtyard.

He went to the corner, directly picked up the pot with the Late Night Fragrant Herb, then took a piece of wood and began to sift the soil.

He extracted the Late Night Fragrant Herb, then poured out all the black soil in the pot, went outside to get some yellow soil, and replanted the Late Night Fragrant Herb.

After watering, Lin Tian neatly placed the Late Night Fragrant Herb in a sunny, ventilated area.

“Who are you!”

Suddenly, a voice of surprise came from the courtyard gate.

Lin Tian turned around, seeing an old man dressed in blue work clothes, wearing sleeve covers and a straw hat, holding a hoe in his hand.

“This is your courtyard, right? I saw the flowers and plants you planted were about to die, so I helped you fix them!”

Lin Tian pointed at the flower pot in front of him, smiling as if to say no thanks were needed.

“What, you moved my Late Night Fragrant Herb!”

The old man’s face changed drastically, dropping his hoe, he jogged over to the flower pot, seeing it placed in a sunny spot, with the black soil turned to yellow soil, he moaned repeatedly, “It’s over, it’s over…my treasure, my Late Night Fragrant Herb! It was almost dead, I thought I could save it, but ended up losing it! Putting it in the sun and changing to yellow soil, it’s deadly…”

Watching the old man act so tragic and sorrowful, Lin Tian was at a loss, then rolled his eyes, turned, and left.

This old man simply doesn’t know how to plant Late Night Fragrant Herb, nor does he understand it, doing a good deed but ending up like this is really speechless.

The Late Night Fragrant Herb is known for its tenacity, even though it was on the brink of death, it can definitely revive after a few days, or a week with soil and position changes.

“Where did this rascal come from, compensate me for my Late Night Fragrant Herb!”

But the old man didn’t know, with a face full of grief and indignation, he got up, turned around intending to angrily scold Lin Tian, only to find the courtyard behind him empty and the person long gone.
