The Urban Medical Martial Immortal

Chapter 1201: Chapter 1194: The Mysterious Prescription

Seeing Bing Zhi’s actions, Zhu Youyou’s face froze.

Usually, when she interacts with Bing Zhi, aside from his pride in his talents, she seldom sees him show such anger.

But Bing Zhi’s talent in Traditional Chinese Medicine is indeed astonishing, giving him reason to be proud!

This is something Zhu Youyou admits!

”Senior Brother Bing, is there a problem with that prescription?”

Returning to her senses, Zhu Youyou glanced at the trash bin and asked Bing Zhi in surprise.

Just now, looking at that prescription, Zhu Youyou also found it full of doubts.

In many places, she was puzzled.

After all, she was seeing such important preparation steps for the first time, and they looked very peculiar.

”You said that prescription was written on the spot just now? Who wrote it?”

Bing Zhi did not respond to Zhu Youyou, but instead frowned and asked.

”It was just delivered by a young boy. Judging by his appearance, he might be a student from our college, or perhaps a friend of a classmate. At the time, he handed over Ma Wenjie’s prescription, and then casually wrote this one!”

Zhu Youyou hesitated slightly, then explained to Bing Zhi, ”He wrote it and instructed me that if Ma Wenjie’s prescription had unexpected results, then use this one. Senior Brother Bing, is there something wrong with that prescription?”

”Hum! Something wrong? It’s nonsense, sheer nonsense!”

Bing Zhi spoke coldly with a stern voice, ”If we follow his prescription, it might lead to fatalities! I was just at the reception desk; I must catch this kid! Such recklessness treats others’ lives as trivial!”

”Ah... this... this bastard, how despicable!”

Zhu Youyou’s cherry-red lips parted widely in shock, and her fair face gradually replaced by anger, ”Didn’t Ma Wenjie say he asked someone to deliver it? Just ask him, surely we’ll know who it was!”

”Not necessarily! Better not ask Ma Wenjie, to avoid unwittingly offending people!”

Bing Zhi frowned and shook his head, saying, ”Since it was someone sent by Ma Wenjie, he must be trustworthy! After all, it’s a matter of life and death. But Ma Wenjie just arrived here, so maybe even the person he called wasn’t familiar, possibly just casually asking a student to help deliver it. And then this student might have deliberately done a prank!”

Bing Zhi therefore made his own conjecture about the situation in front.

Only circumstances like this would seem reasonable.

And Zhu Youyou found this reasoning reasonable, and immediately said angrily, ”Later, we must find this student. How dare he joke with people’s lives!”

”The school should investigate this matter afterwards. For now, I’ll help them brew the medicine first!”

Bing Zhi put away his anger, took a deep breath, and said, ”I’ll go and talk to Ma Wenjie personally later. Although he started off abroad and hasn’t researched Traditional Chinese Medicine deeply, but I must admit, his talent in medicine is frightening!”

”Yes, I shall learn more from you, Senior Brother Bing, and seek advice from others more humbly!”

Zhu Youyou admired Bing Zhi, nodding vigorously.

With someone as talented as Bing Zhi, it’s clear that he always expresses disdain and competitiveness toward someone like Ma Wenjie.

Yet, remaining open to learning is what makes her even more respectful.

Then Bing Zhi began brewing the medicine.

Traditional Chinese Medicine emphasizes gentle nourishment and slow healing, combining internal and external approaches, so Bing Zhi first brewed the internal medicine, then the external application.

The process was quite complicated, but for someone as skilled as Bing Zhi, it was not difficult.

On the side, Zhu Youyou was helping.

Usually, the pharmacy in the college doesn’t see many people, so there wasn’t much attention needed at the front counter.

As the two were busy brewing medicine, suddenly an elderly man with a head of white hair dressed in a black Tang suit slowly entered from the back yard, holding an ancient book and leaning on a cane.

”Girl, how come you’re helping Senior Bin?”

The elderly man walked in and saw the busy pair brewing medicine, showing a surprised look, and said, ”Bing Zhi, how’s the prescription I gave you coming along?”

”Grandfather, we’re brewing a different prescription!”

Seeing the elderly man enter, Zhu Youyou raised her head and hurried forward to assist, helping the elder sit on the sofa.

”Teacher, just now in the emergency room, Ma Wenjie sent over a prescription, and someone there had an acute condition!”

Bing Zhi, busy brewing, couldn’t get up to salute, merely turned to explain, ”It was urgently needed, so I had to put aside the reconstructive bone prescription and brew this one first!”

The elderly man in front was, of course, Mr. Zhu mentioned earlier by Ma Wenjie.

Also, Zhu Youyou’s grandfather!

The old man’s real name is Zhu Chenshan, a retired old Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner from the School District, who serves as the pharmacy caretaker in the Clinical College.

But back in his day, Zhu Chenshan was among the most skilled in Traditional Chinese Medicine in the college, greatly esteemed and respected.

Even now, though retired to such a place, helping with medicine brewing, no one dares to show disrespect.

Plus, while modern medical equipment makes brewing Chinese medicine fast, it often lacks something.

Moreover, Zhu Chenshan insists that the Clinical College use these modern devices less, offering to brew medicine himself.

Hence, facing Zhu Chenshan, students, teachers, and even the college principal Gao Xinhuan all respectfully call him Mr. Zhu.

Later, Bing Zhi privately apprenticed under Zhu Chenshan, hoping to improve his Traditional Chinese Medicine skills.

Facing such a talented junior, Zhu Chenshan is naturally pleased and willing to impart his lifelong learning.

”You’re doing well, that’s how it should be!”

Zhu Chenshan couldn’t help but nod in satisfaction and show a look of appreciation.

For a while, Bing Zhi finally brewed the medicine, and Zhu Chenshan urged him to quickly proceed.

After Bing Zhi left, Zhu Youyou bit her lip, hesitated a little while, and then finally, like a child who had done something wrong, lowered her head and said softly to Zhu Chenshan, ”Grandpa, luckily Senior Brother Bing was here, or I might have caused trouble just now!”

Listening to his precious granddaughter’s words, Zhu Chenshan frowned slightly, asking in surprise, ”What happened?”

”It was like this...”

Zhu Youyou recounted the events including Bing Zhi’s angry disposal of the prescription into the trash.

After hearing the story, Zhu Chenshan also couldn’t help but put on a grim face.

”Let Grandpa see Ma Wenjie’s prescription!”

Zhu Chenshan pointed to the papers on the table and said.

Zhu Youyou quickly handed the prescription to her grandfather.

”Heavenly Plate Vein? Mentioned by Medicine Saint before! But the youngsters these days are truly reckless; fortunately, fortunately!”

After reading the prescription, Zhu Chenshan shook his head while murmuring, then nodded, ”Ma Wenjie indeed has a high level! Even I dare not say I can cure it and issue a proper prescription! The Heart Protecting Blood effect is correct! Girl, show Grandpa the other prescription...”

Seeing her grandfather not criticizing her, Zhu Youyou finally breathed a sigh of relief, yet wondered, ”Grandpa, it’s just something casually written by a student, do you still want to see it?”

”Grandpa wants to see what that kid wrote to make Bing Zhi so angry!”

Zhu Chenshan laughed and shook his head, pointing to the trash can, ”Bring it to Grandpa, it’s not dirty yet!”

Helplessly, Zhu Youyou had to comply, thoroughly developing a dislike for Lin Tian.

Zhu Chenshan unfolded the crumpled paper; upon seeing the beginning, he shook his head repeatedly: ”Utter nonsense, absolute nonsense!”

”Grandpa, I told you! That student is too obnoxious!”

Zhu Youyou continued expressing her indignation.

But at this moment, Zhu Chenshan’s face changed drastically, suddenly showing shock: ”This, this... isn’t it a preparation method mentioned by Medicine Saint before?”

Instantly, Zhu Chenshan stood there stunned.

”Grandpa, what did you say?”

Zhu Youyou didn’t hear clearly, seeing her grandfather lost in a daze, quickly spoke.

”Where is the young boy who wrote this temporary prescription?”

Zhu Chenshan suddenly raised his head, urgently asked Zhu Youyou.
