The Urban Medical Martial Immortal

Chapter 1238: Chapter 1231: Revenge (Third Update)

Crash~~

The white cloth door curtain of the morgue was lifted by Old Man Loo, making a slight sound.

In this deathly silent environment, it was particularly piercing.

The group of students following behind were all trembling as they walked.

Many covered their mouths and noses, swallowed nervously in secret, and cautiously walked inside.

Some were holding leaves of pomelo, covering their mouths, mumbling softly.

Lin Tian found it quite speechless.

The morgue was somewhat dim.

Raising his eyes, he could see eight very large pools of water.

Inside the pools was a huge anatomy room separated by transparent glass, where many dissection tables could be vaguely seen.

”This is the Formalin Medicine Pool, specifically used for preserving and storing corpses! It’s not as pungent now; compared to the initial state, it’s much better!”

Old Man Loo pointed to the eight pools in front of him, all tinted with pale yellow water, speaking to the crowd.

The group of students turned to look in the direction the old man pointed.

When they saw seven or eight corpses floating above the Formalin Medicine Pool and looked at the other pools, which were the same, many screamed.

Some began to vomit repeatedly, appearing extremely disheveled.

Others remained relatively calm, though their faces were deathly pale as they turned their heads away, not daring to look!

Dead bodies!

Corpses!

Anyone normal would find this scene absolutely unsettling!

”Once you pass today’s lesson, you’ll be much better at facing these corpses in the future!”

Old Man Loo moved to the center of the medicine pool, speaking to the crowd: ”Behind the medicine pool is our dissecting table, and you need to move the corpses there yourselves!”

Saying this, Old Man Loo pointed to the entrance of the dissection table, where there was a row of cabinets, and continued:

”There are protective suits and gloves inside, you can take them yourself! Next, I’ll demonstrate how to retrieve the corpses!”

After the group had taken the protective suits and put them on, Old Man Loo began his work.

By the medicine pool, there was a corpse retrieval rod, with a curved hook at the end that could hook onto the corpse to pull it to the edge of the medicine pool.

Formalin solution is the best substance for preserving and storing corpses.

Therefore, even though these corpses seemed old, they still appeared lifelike, without any sign of decay.

”After soaking in Formalin, the corpses have diluted a lot of the protein and are much lighter. However, it still requires two people to lift it together, otherwise, if it accidentally falls back into the pool, you’ll be in trouble!”

Old Man Loo hooked a corpse to the edge of the medicine pool while explaining to the students on site: ”Before lifting the corpse up, it’s best to turn it face down, so you can drain the liquid from inside the corpse; otherwise, you’ll encounter unnecessary trouble during dissection!”

After speaking, Old Man Loo began his demonstration, lifting the corpse with both hands and tilting it to drain the water from inside.

”Now, all of you try it! Lift it up and then put it back again! Once you’ve passed this hurdle, you’ll have nothing to fear in the future facing such things!”

Old Man Loo encouraged everyone to start working.

The group of students had put on their protective suits but still looked frightened at the corpses.

However, having chosen to study medicine, everyone knew they would have to face this sooner or later, so they gritted their teeth and began to follow Old Man Loo’s earlier actions to retrieve the corpses.

Meanwhile, many still vomited, and some were so scared their hands trembled, several times nearly dropping the corpses back into the pools.

Lin Tian, who had been moving along, found it quite speechless.

The corpses before him were almost like a beautiful sight compared to those he had seen before.

He cooperated with Xiao Feiyuan to retrieve the corpses and then put them back again.

This Old Man Loo was also an old scholar; he was rather stubborn and rigid—none were allowed to leave if they didn’t do it right.

After a long time, everyone finally got it right.

The girls with the weakest psychological endurance at least weren’t as scared as before and successfully lifted the corpse.

Afterward, Old Man Loo allowed everyone to leave one after another.

However.

Lin Tian was the last one to remain behind.

”Teacher Loo, can I ask you a question?”

Watching the other students leave the morgue, Lin Tian turned around and looked at Old Man Loo still inside the morgue.

”Your name is Lin Tian, right? This old man doesn’t have a bad memory; I remember you, you were much more composed than the others when lifting the corpse!”

Old Man Loo looked surprised and nodded approvingly at Lin Tian, saying: ”What’s your question? Ask away now. In university, many things require you to ask proactively and study actively, we don’t have the energy to supervise everyone individually!”

”Teacher Loo, how does our academy’s morgue get its corpses?”

Lin Tian looked at Old Man Loo, asking solemnly.

Since this morning because of Jin Xiong’s matter, Lin Tian was puzzled.

”Corpses?”

Old Man Loo was slightly taken aback, not expecting Lin Tian to ask about this. After hesitating, he said, ”The source of corpses is usually two situations, one is obtained from reputable channels or retrieval companies for nameless corpses, the other is those voluntarily donated, this one is quite rare. Why are you asking this?”

”Nothing, I was merely curious. Thank you, teacher!”

Lin Tian shook his head with a smile, thanked him, and then walked out.

Leaving the morgue, outside, it was already dark.

Lin Tian did not immediately return to Siheyuan but instead went to the Medical Department again, picked up some herbal residue before heading back.

The first house where Xia Xiaobei lived had its lights off, completely dark, clearly not back yet.

However, Gao Xinhuan’s house was brightly lit.

After waiting for a while, seeing that Gao Xinhuan wasn’t coming out, Lin Tian ventured into the flower garden and grass.

He continued to utilize the Grasping Spirit Technique to improve the soil, at the same time extracting the medicinal power from the residue and injecting it into the soil.

Until midnight, Lin Tian quietly returned to his room.

The next day.

Thursday, the morning was occupied with the tedious Basic courses.

Flipping through the books, Lin Tian mentally noted most of the contents and took out manuscript paper to sketch and write.

”Lin Tian, you’re not listening to the lecture, what are you scribbling there?”

Xiao Feiyuan leaned over and found the paper filled with names of various herbal medicines he had seen and not heard before.

”Just jotting down randomly!”

Lin Tian replied indifferently, without saying much to Xiao Feiyuan.

What’s written on the manuscript paper were the herbal medicines Lin Tian considered necessary for crafting new elixir medicine, whose feasibility still required step-by-step pairing.

”In the afternoon, we have botany class, which should allow us to visit the academy’s botanical garden, and check what medicines are there then!”

Lin Tian stopped his pen, looking at the densely packed names of herbal medicines, showing a thoughtful expression, contemplating secretly.

Time flowed like water.

The lecture soon ended.

But as the bell rang, the teacher left, and the students in the class stood up, someone rushed in, seemingly from the adjacent class, and shouted: ”Who here hasn’t voted for Ding Hao in the student council? Hurry and leave, Qin Shi brought people over! Previously, during the break, they beat many people in other classes, and not even many advisor teachers could stop them! It’s said that a freshman even broke a leg! Clearly following Ding Hao’s instructions, here for revenge!”
