The Urban Medical Martial Immortal

Capítulo 1216: Chapter 1209: Medical Department

Ding Hao had Qin Shi and others threaten the freshmen to vote for him in the student council election, with the natural aim of becoming the president.

The main reason for this was that among the sophomores in the student council, nearly half of them supported Xian Fuling.

No matter how powerful Ding Hao was, he couldn’t single-handedly cover the sky.

Furthermore, there was Baao Shichi. Although his influence was in the Western Medicine Campus, knowing he couldn’t confront Ding Hao directly, he secretly supported Xian Fuling.

And for these reasons, Ding Hao, relying on his background and influence, became even more brazen in his actions.

The school, too, often turned a blind eye.

Whoever became the president was all the same, as long as the student council’s responsibilities didn’t change, their impact on the normal operation of the college wasn’t significant, and if they could promote student learning, that was enough.

Moreover, the Ding Family had donated generously to the school in the past.

Even Gao Xinhuan didn’t want to make a big deal out of this.

Therefore, Ding Hao acted recklessly.

What was supposed to be an anonymous vote was actually monitored by cameras.

However, Lin Tian didn’t care at all. He didn’t like trouble, but that didn’t mean he was afraid of it!

Qin Shi had come to threaten him, so he was even less likely to vote for Ding Hao!

“Class president, Lin Tian and I both voted for Senior Xian Fuling. Who did you guys vote for?”

Xiao Feiyuan glanced at Lin Tian, then looked at Nian Xiaoqi and others, asking in a low voice.

“Hmph, Ding Hao sent the sophomore Qin Shi to threaten us. That’s too much! We must vote for Senior Xian Fuling!”

Some classmates replied angrily, “With this kind of person, we can’t compromise! It’s a university, let’s see what he can do!”

“That’s right, surely many freshmen won’t vote for him! It’s just hooligan behavior!”

Others nodded in agreement, voicing their support.

Most freshmen, being rebellious, wouldn’t be happy about being threatened to vote!

“So, class president, should we all vote for Senior Xian Fuling?”

At this moment, the other classmates looked to Nian Xiaoqi for an answer.

“Let’s all vote for Senior Xian Fuling!”

Nian Xiaoqi nodded in agreement.

She was also very upset with Ding Hao’s actions and greatly admired Xian Fuling, believing she was the one who should be the student council president!

Soon after, the voting session ended.

After the polls were collected, Ding Hao, thinking victory was assured, temporarily presided over the meeting, talking about the responsibilities of the student council and its various departments.

Every new member had to choose a department to join.

The main departments were the Disciplinary Inspection Department, Health Department, Publicity Department, Sports Department, Entertainment Department, Medical Department, and Security Department!

The Medical Department was relatively special, having its own separate building.

Nian Xiaoqi and Xiao Feiyuan both chose the Medical Department.

The role of the Medical Department was mainly to solve and research some difficult problems students encountered.

In the Medical Department, there was also a Medical Omnibus Box and a Universal Platform!

The Universal Platform was essentially a counter where any unresolved problems could be written on a special answer sheet with a serial number and placed there for others to view.

If someone believed they could solve an issue, they had to pay a deposit on the coin-operated machine to get the answer sheet, and once the answer was submitted successfully, it could be placed into the Omnibus Box.

The owner of the answer sheet must pay a certain amount to claim the answer!

After all, in issues concerning academia, some student answers could contribute significantly to a medical field patent, however small the contribution!

Once the answer’s accuracy was confirmed by the owner, both the deposit and the earned reward were refunded to the responder’s bound student ID bank card.

Of course, these student IDs were confidential!

However, if the provided answer was unsatisfactory, a college mentor could be requested to resolve it.

This rarely happened, since most student inquiries had fixed answers.

In a prestigious institution like Yanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, there was never a shortage of academic stars!

Sometimes, problems that couldn’t be solved elsewhere were solved by the students instead!

Soon.

The meeting ended, and everyone dispersed.

Lin Tian, together with Nian Xiaoqi and others, went to the Medical Department building.

The Medical Department building had only two floors, divided into modern laboratories and traditional Chinese alchemy rooms, with comprehensive facilities.

Additionally, there was a Medical Department hall, where the Universal Platform and Omnibus Box were located.

The student council’s Medical Department had many members, over three hundred.

However, many were still under evaluation; it was rumored that by sophomore year, many with poor performance or behavior might be kicked out.

The head of the Medical Department was a junior from the Clinical Medical College named Chu Meengsha, who was extremely capable in word and deed.

It was said that her academic performance was among the top three in the Clinical Medical College, making her a top-notch academic star!

Ground Floor Conference Room.

Chu Meengsha sat in the main seat, addressing the crowd in the conference room with a cool voice, “Those who can join our Medical Department and are interested in it, many of you are very passionate about medical research. Especially since we gather the absolute elites from the Traditional Chinese Medicine School District here! So our Medical Department’s work is incredibly important. Besides assisting other students with daily issues, we need to focus on projects assigned by mentors and collaborate with the school to undertake various medical competitions! Among these, solving or attempting to research mentor-assigned projects is of utmost importance, as it greatly aids our academic improvement and contributions to the medical field!”

This speech led many students below to nod solemnly.

Most who wanted to enter the Medical Department weren’t looking to just play around; almost all present were a group of academic stars eager for medical knowledge!

“Minister Chu, for the truly difficult problems, we’ll need to rely on you!”

Someone laughed and said, “Last semester, Divine Doctor Jiang came to our college and presented a difficult problem; even Principal Gao personally stepped in, and in the end, you two together overcame it!”

“Actually, it was all thanks to Principal Gao!”

Chu Meengsha smiled humbly, responding modestly. Then she looked up at the others and said, “Today, we have some new brothers and sisters joining us! Everyone, show them around our Medical Department building!”

Soon.

Lin Tian followed Nian Xiaoqi and others up to the second floor to the laboratory and alchemy room.

The second floor was even larger than the first, spreading out like a mushroom cap.

Lin Tian walked into the Traditional Chinese Medicine alchemy room, where there were around thirty medicine mashing pestles and grinding plates used for alchemy, along with pill furnaces for decocting medicines.

Each pill furnace was separated by small compartments.

He noticed stacks of cards piled on tables next to some pill furnaces, with questions about various herbs and medical skills written on them, seemingly awaiting answers.

Next to the furnaces, there were heaps of leftover medicinal residues waiting to be cleaned up, either dregs or failed alchemy products.

“Hmm, this place is quite nice! With such complete facilities, paired with the laboratory, not only can we make alchemy, but also explore some new elixirs!”

Lin Tian surveyed the area, his eyes brightening with excitement.

In his previous life, he had dabbled in creating new elixirs, often achieving astonishing effects.

To research new elixirs, one must first understand Earth’s herbs, at least starting from the basics of Traditional Chinese herbal medicine.

Now, in this university, Lin Tian would have enough time, equipment, and resources.

In a place like the Traditional Chinese Medicine University, there must be a large Medicine Garden!

“Looks like I’ve got another task on hand! Researching elixirs suitable for cultivation in this Earth environment could greatly aid in improving cultivation! Some elixirs from the past life had different ingredients than those on Earth…”

Lin Tian rubbed his chin, already having made up his mind.
