I AM the Football Star

Chapter 539: Chapter 147: Promoted Team’s Rookie Wall, A Desperate Turning Point for the National Team?

”Beast combat, humans have developed wisdom to the extreme, while beasts have developed their bodies to the extreme. Learn to fight like a beast, and your combat ability will be enhanced.”

Strength 83-84

Long Pass 78-80

Treaty 78-80

Two basic points allowed Lu Yang to complete basic improvements in two skills.

This ”September Player of the Month” was truly satisfying.

But the day after receiving this title, San Remo played at home against the visiting Salzburg Red Bull.

Red Bull clearly did not underestimate San Remo, as they made many targeted preparations before the match, especially concerning Lu Yang.

In this match, Lu Yang rarely experienced a ”need to break through the walls” feeling.

Whenever Lu Yang had the ball, there were always two or more opposing players blocking him.

Throughout the match, Lu Yang had five shots, zero on target!

Finally, with Bai Zhami’s sudden insight, a brilliant pass back, and Morici’s powerful strike from a bizarre angle, San Remo drew 1-1 with Red Bull.

Four points accumulated.

Red Bull with two consecutive draws gained two points.

In the other match, Ness narrowly beat Zenit, taking three points.

Zenit with one draw and one loss, bottom with one point.

San Remo... still at the top of Group C!

But the situation in this group has already developed as everyone predicted, becoming a group of death!

Incredibly chaotic!

Almost every team has a chance to qualify.

Whether ranked first or fourth, anyone can quickly change rankings with two good matches.

The thrill of European Competition is thus demonstrated.

On the other hand, San Remo encountered a rare streak of two draws in all competitions.

Especially since both Lu Yang and Morici were present in these matches.

Does this mean San Remo has reached their limit?

Their dominating performances in the Italian D Division and Italian Third Division, are they now a thing of the past?

In response, Italy’s well-known anti-San Remo media, the Republican Newspaper, was the first to conduct a special interview.

Yes, compared to pro-San Remo media, the Republican Newspaper pays even more attention to San Remo. Their editors often stay up late watching San Remo matches, even choosing paid channels for better experience.

Sometimes hardcore San Remo fans can’t watch due to personal reasons, but these critics do not miss a single game, their spirit is commendable.

Republican Newspaper: ”San Remo has encountered the rookie wall! They have been thoroughly analyzed by major teams!”

”All along, San Remo’s so-called invincible streak was merely due to weak opposing teams or lack of professionalism. Once they ascend to the secondary league level, any standout performance will be targeted by major teams.”

”That’s why many newly promoted teams may not be relegated in the current season, but they are bound to be relegated in their second season.”

”Lu Yang, Morici, and other San Remo players, most have not experienced such targeted analysis. They perform well in free situations, but under true pressure, they quickly falter.”

”After five or six rounds of matches, Serie B’s major teams have thoroughly studied San Remo. I dare say, San Remo won’t stay at the top of the standings for long! Starting this round, they will experience their first Serie B defeat, then continuously fail, fail, draw, draw.”

Meanwhile, the Torino Sports Paper also predicts: ”San Remo may indeed manage to stay in the league this season, but it’s difficult for them to enter the upper echelon of Serie B’s top six.”

”In the next match, they will face Vicenza. Vicenza was a Serie A team last season, and though they couldn’t stay in Serie A, they’re undoubtedly a strong team in Serie B.”

”Such a powerful opponent, with San Remo already thoroughly analyzed by others, it’s hard to say if they will have any stellar performances.”

”As proof, Lu Yang was only a fleeting success; he hasn’t even entered top leagues and already faces great troubles.”

”While talents ranked above Lu Yang for the Golden Boy Award have already fought in top leagues for one or two seasons with remarkable achievements! This is the gap between geniuses.”

”We do not deny Lu Yang is a genius, but if there are levels among geniuses, he’s only at the lowest level!”

Clearly, these two media outlets had biases from the beginning.

The other due to the Golden Boy Award issue has long been at odds with Lu Yang.

Especially when Lu Yang disrespected the Golden Boy Award but then reversed by winning the European Youth Championship, forcing the Golden Boy Award to greatly boost his ranking, it made the Torino Sports Paper and people like Ah Ke, Nike sick.

Now it’s time for their counterattack.

Lu Yang winless in two matches!

A match without goal or assist data!

Wouldn’t they exaggerate this to the point of chaos and world destruction?

Unknowingly, Lu Yang has already begun enjoying superstar treatment.

A true superstar isn’t measured by how many goals you score in one match, but by which match you don’t score yet still make headlines.

From this point of view, you can see what position Lewandowski holds in the eyes of the fans.

Of course, this is just a very superficial method of judgment, for entertainment purposes only, without reference value.

At the same time, the Torino Sports Paper quickly lowered Lu Yang’s ranking for the Golden Boy Award. Although it was only by two positions, the intention was clear.

Promote where needed, demote where needed.

In this regard, even if San Remo fans are extremely angry, they can’t say much.
