I AM the Football Star

Chapter 538: Chapter 146: UEFA Europa League Fair Play Award Winner, Serie B Player of the Month for September_4

Unless Lu Yang returns to the defensive midfielder position and suppresses his forward thrust nature.

That’s clearly impossible.

It’s too much of a loss.

”Alright, I will have someone keep an eye on him,” Sotu said, ”but he has already played for Ness this season. Even if we can buy him in the winter window, he won’t be able to play for the team in the Europa League.”

”Additionally, the team’s recruitment for next season will be very important, and we won’t spend too much on a defensive player who’s only 1.68 meters tall.”

Lu Yang said, ”It’s not necessary to get him in the winter window. He has now become the public enemy of Ness fans, and his treatment on the team will also worsen.”

”His defensive command attributes require the cooperation of teammates to be fully demonstrated. At the end of the league, the team already has a fitness crisis, coupled with poor teammate relations, the increase in defensive capabilities he provides to the team will be minimized.”

”By then, he will become just a strong individual defensive offensive terminator, and his contribution to the team may be negative. The head coach will remove him from the starting lineup.”

This means that Kaint’s market value will drop by then.

Poor thing!

Kaint’s current market value is less than ten million, and that’s because he was the Ligue 1 interception king last season. Worth but no market, no one would buy an interception king who’s 1.68 meters tall.

According to Lu Yang’s plan, Kaint’s market value would drop by at least a third by the season’s end!

Waiting like this, Lu Yang’s annual salary would be saved.

Worth it!

”Ding! You have led the team to its first victory in the Europa League and gained a player-level skill, Grenade Throw-in!”

”Grenade Throw-in can greatly enhance your throw distance and speed, giving your throws a direct threat!”

This is one of the few skills Lu Yang has obtained that doesn’t increase attributes.

But the tactical function of this skill is still relatively strong.

Especially when your side has strong headers.

...

Four days later, San Remo maintained its winning streak in the fourth league game.

They easily defeated their opponents 2-0.

Lu Yang scored twice in this match, maintaining his hot form, and continued at the top of the Serie B scorer list with eight goals.

Morici and Bernulin respectively provided him with assists.

San Remo’s 3-5-2 play gradually stabilized, and players adapted to this style.

This marks San Remo’s six consecutive victories in various competitions in the new season.

They were unstoppable.

But a week later, San Remo met Serie B strong team Monza for the first time, and they instantly felt how obvious the polarization in Serie B was.

The usual Serie B teams couldn’t put any pressure on San Remo.

However, Monza almost destroyed San Remo’s 3-5-2 on the field.

Fortunately, Sotu substituted three players at the 70th minute and changed the formation to 4-3-3, withstanding the opponent’s fierce attack and recovering a goal.

Ultimately, the match ended in a 2-2 draw between San Remo and Monza.

San Remo’s six-game winning streak was interrupted.

In this match, Canyes assisted Lu Yang, while Sogel assisted Bai Zhami.

Up to this point, Lu Yang’s goals reached nine!

Throughout September, he scored in every match he participated in.

In five league games, he scored nine goals and one assist, an astonishingly high efficiency.

The team also ranked in the top four with four wins and one draw, alongside Monza, Bologna, and Sampdoria, all of them still unbeaten in Serie B so far!

Among them, San Remo is a promoted team, Monza is a Serie B powerhouse, and Bologna and Sampdoria are teams that played in Serie A last season.

The first echelon of Serie B has formed.

And the second echelon behind might not be worse, such as Perugia, Empoli, Vicenza, etc., just haven’t adjusted their status yet.

October 2nd.

The Serie B official announced the best player of September—Lu Yang!

This award was established by Serie A last year to learn from the Premier League and the NBA, aiming to award the most dominant and best-performing player of the month and expanded to Serie B this year.

Last year in Serie A, players who won this award included Inter’s nuclear head Gutierrez, Son of God Izalelt, and King of Purple Lilies Carrel.

It is proven that this award has an extraordinary star-making function.

Or it can be said that players who receive this award have the potential to become superstars.

And Lu Yang has undoubtedly become a superstar in Serie B.

He also received two basic points and a player-level skill ”Beast Combat.”
