I AM the Football Star

Chapter 499: Chapter 137: Crowned the Treble Winner!

Yes, the front field commander.

Of course, Lu Yang indeed showed his ”Creative Commander” ability in that recent goal.

The Creative Commander was a player skill Lu Yang gained last season.

Its main function is to help players better organize their teammates, facilitating cooperation.

Without Lu Yang’s coordination, Latu Yidi wouldn’t have charged forward, and Morici wouldn’t have called out to Canyes deliberately, thus allowing Canyes to see Latu Yidi not far behind Morici.

But of course, the Creative Commander is a double-edged sword.

Especially for players like Lu Yang who have a high level of prestige within the team.

He can mobilize many teammates, even making them temporarily disregard tactical arrangements.

Theoretically, this could expose many defensive vulnerabilities in the team.

If the opponent capitalizes on it, then we’ll be in danger.

But Lu Yang happens to have excellent vision, so his coordination can minimize such issues to the greatest extent. Naturally, it’s just minimizing, not eradicating, as no one can prevent the team from having vulnerabilities altogether.

Moreover, Lu Yang’s experience as a commander is all thanks to the space the opponent provided him.

And such space is brought about by ”repeated breakthroughs”.

Facts prove that no matter your type as a winger, you must be able to break through before talking about other tactical effects.

Unfortunately, this point has been ignored by many in the future, leading to many flamboyant players who just can’t break through the opponent’s defense.

Useless.

”San Remo, San Remo, San Remo!”

Cheers erupted from the stands.

Of course, when Juventus scored earlier, the fans shouted Juventus’s name as well.

It’s not that the fans are two-faced, but such high-quality matches are truly rare for domestic fans.

Ninety-five percent of the eighty thousand fans present don’t have the means to go abroad to watch a high-quality soccer match.

As for domestically... sorry, there’s no high-quality live soccer match.

So, whenever either side scores, the fans are very excited.

But this time, the fans were evidently more excited.

Because San Remo was leading.

Whether it’s the script of a strong overcoming a weak team or due to Lu Yang’s Chinese background, the fans hope to see San Remo win this match more.

And all this is coming closer and closer.

Until the eighty-fifth minute.

Juventus’s central forward Manzuyovich scored by overpowering Lam with a header during a corner attack.

Though before the corner was taken, it was Palacios marking Manzuyovich.

But Manzuyovich exited the small penalty area, then re-entered, pulling away from Palacios, and found Lam.

Even though Lam isn’t lacking physically, he couldn’t overpower Manzuyovich like Pavovsky couldn’t.

Three to three!

Juventus equalized the match!

The thirty-two-year-olds Latu Yidi and Manzuyovich led the final stages of the match.

Demonstrating the saying: an elder at home is truly a treasure.

And such treasures, Juventus has plenty, their starting lineup has the second-highest average age in Serie A.

When considering the substitutes, they might be the most aged in Serie A.

The sobriquet ”Juventus” truly fits.

In truth, head coach Sotu must take some responsibility for this conceded goal.

Because before the corner, he was intending to substitute Lam for Naji. If Naji were there, Manzuyovich definitely wouldn’t be dominating in his area.

Naji would rather score an own goal than allow someone to score in his territory.

That is the pride unique to Saint One Peak.

But considering Latu Yidi has run quite a distance in this match, to be prudent, it might have been better to let Lu Yang move back to replace Latu Yidi in the defensive midfield, and just casually bring on a substitute like Belletti up front.

This way, the defensive strength might be even better than putting on Naji.

A forward replacing a defensive midfielder can have a better effect than a defender replacing a defender, which is possible at San Remo and only possible with Lu Yang.

The hesitance resulted in Juventus already taking advantage of the corner to score.

”Damn!” Sotu was frustrated.

What should be done now?

If Sotu was more inclined to substitute Latu Yidi earlier, now he is more inclined to substitute Lam.

The offensive threat can’t be neglected, Lu Yang shouldn’t move back.

Attacking wins matches, defending wins championships.

San Remo must focus on both offense and defense!

Beep!

San Remo makes a substitution, Naji replaces Lam.

Lam left the field without much applause from the fans.

Because his performance wasn’t satisfactory in this match.

In the post-match ratings, he might be rated as one of San Remo’s lowest-scoring players.

This could be a huge blow for Lam, potentially earning him the label of a dud.

But after all, this is Juventus.

If faced with a weaker opponent, even if he doesn’t have the best coordination with the midfield, Lam wouldn’t struggle so much.

This is a hurdle he must face along his path of growth.

In the ninety-first minute of the whole match, a controversial scene occurred.

To lessen defensive pressure, Lu Yang consciously held onto the ball for long periods and stalled in the front field.

Morici understood Lu Yang’s intention and replicated the same actions.

Even Bai Zhami, not adept at technical dribbling, retreated to the midfield to participate in defense.

Juventus wasn’t hurried either, as they still had room for adjustment in their substituting options if they went into extra time.
