I AM the Football Star

Chapter 490: Chapter 134: Latest Golden Boy Award Rankings, Star-Studded Friendly Match (Part 4)

Lu Yang: ”I’ve named it ’Hunting Blade’!”

Reporter: ”The name’s not bad, but are you sure it will be the best-looking sneaker in the world? One thousand people have one thousand copies of Harry Potter!”

Lu Yang: ”After hearing that saying, Shakespeare would probably cry in the restroom! I’m sure it’s the best-looking sneaker in the world, and at least one other person would agree with me besides myself.”

Reporter: ”Who? The owner of HXLT?”

Lu Yang: ”No. It’s Sofia, as long as she likes it.”

Reporter dies.

Let me tell you a Jaguar!

Lu Yang’s criticism of the Golden Boy Award isn’t new, but it’s still shocking.

His direct confrontation with Ah Ke and Nike has also attracted the envy of many young stars.

They all wish they could, like Lu Yang, clash with these two companies.

After all, those who can become soccer stars aren’t foolish.

They know exactly how much Ah Ke and Nike have earned from them and how exploitative their youth contracts are.

If they had better options, you’d see whether they’d still choose these two.

The ”Hunting Blade” sneakers mentioned by Lu Yang have also attracted much attention.

Before the era of sneaker tech, the core allure of sneakers had just moved from ”durable, long-lasting, and good quality” to the realm of ”aesthetics.”

At this stage, the appearance of sneakers was the most important.

Even in the tech era, aesthetics still rank as the primary purchasing factor.

What do sneakers approved by Sofia actually look like?

...

Sotu’s office.

San Remo is choosing their formation for the Italian Super Cup match.

During this time, they’ve mainly established two formations.

One is the traditional 433.

Depending on the positioning of the midfield trio Morici, Lu Yang, and Latu Yidi, it can shift to a 4213 or a 4123.

The differences between them are not significant.

But they are also not entirely identical.

At least, during a 4123 attack, Canyes moves up to become a right defensive midfielder, pushing Morici to a winger position, which is a routine that requires long-term practice and team cooperation.

And the second main lineup is 352.

Sotu didn’t deceive Lam; San Remo is indeed going to play 352.

Three-back formations are quite popular in Italy.

The biggest feature of this formation is its advantage in favorable conditions, allowing strong teams to be more stable.

Its core characteristic is leveraging the midfield numerical advantage to control the ball and seek opportunities in the opposing half.

But against powerful opponents, this formation lacks explosiveness and is not ideal for weaker teams.

And what Sotu wants to do now is a bold decision.

That is to let the team face the match with a 352.

”Yes, on the surface, we are a 352, but actually...” Sotu moves the two wing midfielders back, turning them into wingbacks, ”We can be 532, or say 5212!”

Sotu beams, thinking he’s brilliant: ”This tactic is hard for other teams to execute because very few teams can find dual players who can simultaneously play as both fullbacks and wing midfielders.”

”The soul of this lineup rests on these two wingbacks!”

”Luckily, our new acquisition right-back Canyes from San Remo is such a super wing player who can go up and down, playing right-back and right-wing midfielder perfectly!”

”He perfectly fits this tactic, which can unleash his offensive talent while covering his defensive deficiencies.”

”Canyes’ playing style makes him appear weak defensively when playing right-back. But if he plays as a right wingback... defense becomes an advantage compared to other wingbacks!”

”Moreover, this lineup allows Lam to quickly adapt to the defensive midfield position, making this a perfect tactic!”

”On the forward line, Bai Zhami and Fernandez can alternately rotate, ensuring ample impact force.”

Old Tom, watching the excited Sotu, couldn’t help reminding him: ”But we only have one Canyes. Our left-back Camihong might swing to a center-back but obviously doesn’t have the ability to play wing midfield.”

Sotu: ”Who said to put him as a wing midfielder?”

Old Tom: ”Then... Belletti? Clearly impossible, the biggest requirement for a wingback is stamina. If you say Lu Yang, that’s... wait, you mean... Lu?”

Sotu smiled: ”In fact, although the wingback is the core of this lineup, even a soul position can have primary and secondary. If I were to differentiate, I think Lu Yang’s left wingback position is more important!”

”Fullback, side midfielder, winger, wing attacking midfielder, even left center-forward... Along this route, Lu can become any player he wants to be, possessing almost all the core abilities required by players of various positions.”

”This is a position that can maximize his Hexagon Warrior traits. And I don’t believe there’s a defender capable of defending all offensive players across all positions simultaneously.”

Just like to perform multiple roles, you also need to have the core abilities required for multiple positions.

Fullback defense and crossing are necessary.

Side midfielder crossing, dribbling, ball control are necessary.

Winger dribbling, cutting inside, shooting are necessary.

Wing attacking midfielder organization, shooting, control are necessary.

Left center-forward positioning, confronting, and shooting are necessary.

Similarly, to defend against them, defenders also need different proficiencies.

That’s why the same defender sometimes performs exceptionally well or extremely poorly against different types of players.

And Lu... can render any type of defender ineffective.

Because he is so comprehensive that he can exploit any weakness of an opponent.

He is going to be San Remo’s ace in the 352 formation!

A real ace, not one that relies on Morici controlling the field to become the ace!

In this lineup, what Morici needs to do is watch and applaud.

Sotu’s eyes sparkled with radiance.

This is the first tactic he independently designed as a Tactical Master genuinely belonging to him.

He has a premonition that he might welcome a signature piece of his coaching career!

Hahaha!
