I AM the Football Star

Chapter 487: Chapter 134: Latest Golden Boy Award Rankings, Lavish Friendly Matches

Lam’s addition to the San Remo training grounds has greatly shocked the Shanghai Port Team players who often come to watch.

Because they never imagined that the center-back, who couldn’t find a place at Liverpool and was deemed the ”worst choice” and ”wrong answer” by the European media, could be so strong!

Due to a cooperative relationship, the Shanghai Port players can also train with the San Remo players when appropriate.

To be precise, they join San Remo’s training without affecting the San Remo players.

In a one-on-one attack and defense mini-game, Shanghai Port’s strongest player, Shi Tian, lost ten games in a row to Lam!

To know, Shi Tian has won a few times under Naji and Matias.

This is enough to prove Lam’s prowess.

And yet, he’s someone others don’t want?

Also, during training, everyone found that Lam appeared more in the defensive midfielder position.

That is to say, as strong as Lam is, he can’t find a spot on San Remo’s defensive line?

What kind of devilish lineup is this?

After more than ten days of training, the main event finally came.

San Remo invited a few teams to serve as opponents for their friendly matches, and all the matches were held domestically!

These teams include Perugia, a traditional strong team in Serie B.

Perugia is a team that can occasionally be promoted to Serie A, and in recent years their performance has generally been in the upper half of Serie B, indicating their strength is quite strong.

Perugia has done business with San Remo, and their relationship is good.

In fact, San Remo has a good reputation in the Italian football circle, and the teams that have done business with them, like Benevento, have generally not lost out, maintaining good relationships.

This is also part of the club’s growth.

If San Remo and these friendly cooperative units all develop well in the future, that would be true influence.

By then, what others can’t buy for twenty million from Benevento, San Remo might get for fifteen million.

Such an experience... Juventus and Bayern Munich both say it’s good!

San Remo also contacted Benevento, but they are actively preparing for Serie A and temporarily have no spare capacity to make money and do not lack money.

The second team for the friendly match is even more impressive, a team that was promoted to La Liga last year and successfully avoided relegation, the Spanish!

Pirola is the starting center-back of this team.

The third team is the most powerful, San Remo itself never expected to be able to invite Premier League giant Arsenal!

Of course, Arsenal’s goal is pretty obvious.

They are vigorously expanding their team brand market globally, with the East being an important area for cultivation. Even without San Remo, they would have come to the country within three years.

It’s just that with San Remo and Lu Yang as the bridge, their visit is more natural and smooth.

Meanwhile, Arsenal head coach Mr. Winter may also have intentions to win over Lu Yang.

At the very least, he came to the country long before the team, not just to communicate tactics with Sotu, but reportedly invited Lu Yang to dinner, where they drank and celebrated together.

Finally, San Remo also invited the Shanghai Port Team to play a friendly match with them without affecting their league matches.

This is definitely giving face to Shanghai Port.

The tickets for these four matches, for the most part, will go to the visiting teams as their appearance fee.

Fortunately, the asking price was not high, so San Remo didn’t have to spend extra money to invite them.

Otherwise, just Arsenal alone would cost San Remo a lot.

From this perspective, Nana is quite considerate.

They hope this year they can finish top 4 and strive for 321.

These four matches are purely friendly matches.

San Remo even used four different starting lineups.

Facing Arsenal, San Remo suffered a defeat, two to four. The key to this match was the trial in the defensive midfielder position, where Morici was substituted at halftime to realize the double defensive midfielder combination of Latu Yidi and Lam.

Initially, it seemed very effective; after they played, Arsenal scored three goals...

Clearly, the double Latu combination needs time to get accustomed.

But after this game, they were called the ”Double Trash” combination by people.

Poor Latu Yidi, a dignified defensive leader, now being joked about like this, truly heart-wrenching.

Against the Spanish, San Remo changed the starting lineup again, drawing two to two.

This time Lam appeared on the defensive line, successfully locking down the opponent’s second forward, with a standout performance.

In the third match, against the league rival Perugia, San Remo drew again, three to three, but in this game, they were still adjusting their lineup, even abandoning the previous 433 for a 352!

One word, play!

Tactical Master Sotu was clearly in full swing.

Against Shanghai Port in the last match, San Remo, also using the unfamiliar 352 formation, beat them five to two!

If not for considering this was their cooperative partner team, and Shanghai Port’s recent friendliness, perhaps San Remo’s goal tally could have doubled.

But Shanghai Port was not discouraged, because after several matches, even Professor Winter said San Remo was definitely not an ordinary Serie B team, and they could likely bring surprises to the Italian League this season.

To score goals against such a team, Shanghai Port has done well.

It is worth mentioning that of Shanghai Port’s two goals, the young potential player Shi Tian contributed one assist and one goal, being Shanghai Port’s best-performing player.

A week after the match, a sudden and unexpected transfer offer occurred.
