I AM the Football Star

Chapter 287: Chapter 94: Defenders of the Italian Cup! (Part 2)

This ball was created by Becher’s.

Messi rarely fights for penalty kick rights.

During the interview of ”Brother Fighting Thorns”, Chen Xiaochun usually stands aside, giving the center spot to Xie Tianhua and Lin Xiaofeng.

Gai doesn’t want to be the captain, letting his brother, the social genius Bridge, take the role.

These are things a team leader should do, appropriately sharing their glory and privileges with those around them at the right time.

Lu Yang is doing just that.

Of course, the premise is... Becher’s has already completely yielded to him.

Otherwise, not to mention free kicks, even if it’s a penalty created by Becher’s, Lu Yang would laughingly take it without hesitation.

He is, after all, the team’s first-choice for penalties and close-range set pieces!

”Becher’s is holding the football; his shooting skills are quite exquisite! He might attempt to directly take this free kick!”

”This season, Becher’s has had two directly scored free-kicks!”

”Oh, Becher’s didn’t place the ball at the referee’s designated spot. Instead, he walked directly over to Lu Yang and handed him the ball.”

”Wow! Becher’s actions are unexpected, and it also proves what he said in the viral interview, that he is very grateful to and respects Lu Yang.”

”In fact, as the main breakthrough player, Becher’s, when in good form, could completely demand to take the free kicks he created himself. And previously, Becher’s has proven his touch is hot today!”

”Becher’s made a wise choice, making the atmosphere in San Remo even more harmonious.”

”Lu Yang gave Becher’s a hug and then took the football.”

”Lu Yang rotated the ball, found the valve core, and placed the ball firmly on the free-kick spot. He is stepping back, seemingly measuring the grass with his footsteps.”

”Five steps! His hands naturally hang down, legs slightly wider than shoulder-width, firmly rooted on the green field. Those familiar with Lu Yang should know this is his unique way of taking a free kick.”

”Some call it the Elevator Ball! Because the ball rises sharply in the first half, easily passing over the wall. It then dips sharply in the second half, ensuring it remains within the goal frame. Furthermore, during the sharp dip in the second half, the ball won’t spin, causing it to continuously wobble left and right.”

”In baseball, this is called a butterfly pitch, with a mysterious trajectory, elusive and unpredictable.”

Boom!

Lu Yang takes a shot!

The Elevator Ball makes its comeback!

Without suspense, the ball successfully scores, stirring countless white waves.

”GOAL! Another goal! Lu Yang scores twice, Becher’s assists twice, the two of them secured all three of San Remo’s first-half goals! This is truly powerful!”

”Lu Yang runs towards Becher’s, pointing at Becher’s jersey number and gives a big thumbs up to the fans in the stands!”

”The fans start chanting Becher’s name, recognizing this player under Lu Yang’s call.”

”What an outstanding leader player he is, helping everyone become better!”

In the second half, both sides switch sides for battle again.

But Vercelli no longer had much spirit.

They were originally only good at defense, yet they were defeated 3-0 in the first half.

What’s the point of continuing?

Around the 55th minute of the second half, the young Fernandez was substituted, and Belletti came on early.

For Fernandez’s health, his future playing time won’t exceed 65 minutes.

Sotu also specially instructed Belletti that if it’s an advantageous situation, he could save as much energy as possible to extend his playing time.

Belletti knows how to manage his energy distribution, unlike some youngsters who have to rely on pills to extend their combat time at a young age.

From Jay, to Xu Song, He Tu, and other original singers’ efforts over more than ten years, were completely ruined by him alone!

Can’t help but say, the showbiz stars are all impressive!

Toothpicks and pills are a better match, oh!

Of course, none compare to someone else’s impressiveness.

The former is indulgence, the latter is national hatred and family feud, not on the same level.

Back to the topic, after Belletti came on, he indeed implemented Sotu’s directive of preserving energy, with hardly much running.

In the past, he would rush to and fro because San Remo needed someone to do so.

But now that Becher’s has been subdued, old man Belletti no longer needed to forcefully start up this old car of his.

Let Becher’s run the show with flashy moves, everyone’s happy.

But it must be said, Belletti is truly experienced.

In the 74th minute, Belletti sneakily wandered to the left side of the area just outside the penalty box.

He posed little threat, so the defending players didn’t pay him much attention.

On the other side, Becher’s, after getting past two people wonderfully, passed the ball to the center to Lu Yang before the opponents could double-team him.

Lu Yang was then engaging in a duel with the opposing defensive midfielder outside the penalty area, back to goal.

The ball came to his feet, and though he couldn’t strike immediately, it still put Vercelli’s defenders on high alert.

Everyone watched to see how Lu Yang would turn and shoot.

Would it be that magical Cruyff Turn again?

Or the visually unimpressive but very effective Bengbu Spin?

As everyone contemplated, the ball smoothly increased its speed from Lu Yang’s feet, struck towards the left front directly by Lu Yang’s touch.

Belletti took the momentum, came over, and unleashed a powerful curling shot with a full swing of his leg.
