I AM the Football Star

Chapter 263: Chapter 89: Pass That Damn Ball to Me! (7,800-Word Short Chapter)_4

The fans of San Remo were stunned.

Just a moment ago, they held a good chance and seemed to have the upper hand.

How could it be that in the next moment, there was a possibility of being two to zero down?

And the possibility seemed to increase as Chievo’s players surged forward.

This became more certain when Lu Yang and the other four Chievo players surpassed Naji.

In the backfield of San Remo, besides the goalkeeper, only Lu Yang and the other four Chievo players were there.

And Lu Yang was not the closest person to his goalkeeper.

He was still chasing back.

Chievo’s players had such a big advantage, with four players making simple passes, transferring the football from the side close to Lu Yang to the side away from him, completely eliminating the possibility of Lu Yang risking fouling to tackle down the Chievo player with the ball.

Similarly, when Jalard rushed out, they passed the ball twice again.

Talista got the ball!

Jalard had no choice but to lie down during his charge to expand his defensive area as much as possible.

But the ball-holder Talista nudged the ball, completely bypassing Jalard.

He bypassed the goalkeeper!

At this moment, the open goal of San Remo was in sight.

Talista, as a beastly striker, performing such a delicate and clean move, slightly insulting in nature, to pass a player, was very rare.

Adding in the long-distance run that slightly made him lose control of his body, he did not pass to his teammates and chose to take the shot himself.

For him, this shot wasn’t difficult.

But nudging the ball out and the long-distance run made it hard for him to strike the ball with power.

The football did not pierce through the goal like a lightning bolt.

Instead, it rolled towards the goal at a not fast nor slow speed.

Jalard looked despairingly at the open goal, lying near the penalty spot, gazing at the sky with a long sigh.

Watching the football slowly go into the net is the greatest punishment for a defender!

However, his pupils suddenly contracted.

Just in front of the goal, a red and white figure threw itself forward, sliding all the way.

Then, just as the football came infinitely close to the goal line, that person’s toe finally touched the football, blocking it from entering the goal.

Bam!

The football flew up high and went out of the sideline from the outside of the goalpost.

”NO!”

Talista held his head in disbelief.

Not because he was just one step away from scoring twice.

He believed in his scoring ability and that he could score another goal in any match.

What he couldn’t accept was that the person who blocked the goal was actually Lu Yang!

Lu!

As if he were Talista’s nemesis, always ruining Talista’s good things at the most crucial moments.

And now, that ominous premonition Talista felt appeared.

Just like in the match where he lost the championship in the Italian D Division.

Looking at the figure lying on the ground gasping for air, Talista couldn’t utter a single word of trash talk.

Likewise, the camera zoomed in, and Lu Yang’s thigh was covered with dense wounds, all blood-red.

Abrasions!

Sliding tackles easily cause defensive players to get thigh abrasions.

Let alone Lu Yang’s recent long-distance sideway sliding tackle.

Grass isn’t just as gentle as it looks!

Sliding tackles aren’t easy, and grass has its temper.

Lu Yang saved San Remo, preventing them from exiting early.

But he also received punishment from the pitch, covered in injuries.

After taking a few breaths, Lu Yang stood up from the pitch and looked towards the front.

There, Becher’s just got up, still rubbing his ankle, looking extremely pained.

But if the opponent really kicked his ankle, then why didn’t the main referee blow the whistle?

This main referee’s officiating today has been basically flawless.

Apparently, Becher’s pained appearance was just to evade some responsibility.

Like making people forget that he didn’t pass the ball with all his might just now.

Making people forget that even Sogel was running back to defend, but he kept lying on the grass resting.

He clearly knew how a forward should behave like a star player without being criticized by fans.

Neymar’s rolling certainly avoided greater injury, a protective action, but occasionally a few rolls were to relieve dissatisfaction from teammates, fans, and head coach due to losing ball possession because of over-dribbling.

But quickly, Becher’s felt immense pressure.

Because in the team’s backfield, Lu Yang was slowly running over.

Lu Yang just blocked a must-score goal for the opponent, with Chievo gaining a corner kick.

But it needed everyone to come over to take the corner.

While everyone was walking towards San Remo’s backfield, Lu Yang was running towards San Remo’s front field.

”We can see Lu Yang running in the front field, what’s he trying to do?”

”Oh! My god! Lu Yang seems to be heading towards Becher’s!”

”He’s saying something!”

”He’s walking towards Becher’s, he didn’t stop his stride! He puffed out his chest, looking indignant.”

”Becher’s stumbled from Lu Yang’s bump, looking incredulous.”

”Becher’s was equally angry, and he steadied his stance, bumping back at Lu Yang!”

”Their heads were literally touching, not like teammates, more like rivals.”

On the pitch, Chievo’s players were already stunned by this scene.

Watt Ayou was at a loss!

Talista had a smile on his lips, no one understood Lu Yang’s feelings better than him.

After all, the reason Talista was relegated to Italian D Division last season was largely because of a malicious sliding tackle on a teammate during previous training.

Some people, if you don’t teach them a lesson, they won’t know how to play football properly.
