I AM the Football Star

Chapter 272: Chapter 91: You’re Not Wrong, You Just Don’t Know How Great We’ll Be

Lu Yang welcomed a wave of epic enhancements in his offensive play.

But perhaps due to the influence of Lu Yang angrily pushing a teammate on the field, his affinity, which was originally only 55, is now just 50.

This basically means that people watching a football match for the first time probably won’t like him.

Of course, if it’s a female fan, that might not be the case, because for the opposite sex, appearance sometimes works better than affinity.

Watching Morici doing simple dribbling movements on the small villa football field, Lu Yang felt that his spring might really be coming.

Becher’s will never pose a threat to him again; he’ll either pass the ball to Lu or wear out the bench, there’s no third way.

Once Morici returns, Lu Yang will just need to lift his foot and shoot, shoot, shoot.

After all this is Batigoal!

This is a nearly unsolvable shot.

In top leagues, it can make defenders and goalkeepers helpless and angry, let alone in the Italian Third Division.

Batigoal’s shot power is immense, and shooting accuracy is extremely high. In mid-air, there often won’t be any change in path or trajectory, but this does not mean it’s easy to save.

On the contrary, this cannon-like shot is highly explosive, and once it takes off, no one can stop it.

Even if the goalkeeper touches the ball, it’s unlikely he’ll be able to save it, unable to prevent a goal from being born.

”What are you laughing at? Is my Fried Meatballs not handsome enough?” Morici turned to Lu Yang, just in time to see Lu’s foolish smile, and got angry on the spot.

He hasn’t fully recovered, some technical moves can’t be done too much, mainly to get familiar.

”I didn’t mean to mock you, but if one of your legs isn’t good to use, can’t you do Fried Meatballs with just one foot?” Lu Yang gave Morici a suggestion.

Morici wasn’t angry anymore because Lu Yang was practically narrating: ”Fried Meatballs with one foot? Do you even understand how difficult this technical move is? Why don’t you demonstrate one for me?”

Fried Meatballs itself is a basic dribbling move.

As discussed before, basic doesn’t mean simple, but it means it’ll be frequently used, so you can’t avoid it.

But actually, within these basic moves, there’s a lot of knowledge.

Some people, even if only proficient in Fried Meatballs, can be called dribbling masters, not just boastfully, but because Fried Meatballs can just be that awesome.

Fried Meatballs’ real name is second touch, referring to the cooperation of both feet, almost simultaneously touching the ball to create a second directional change, enabling dribbling past opponents.

Because the two legs chop the ball back and forth like chopsticks, and the Spanish translation of this move into Chinese happens to be Fried Meatballs, giving it a more colloquial and vivid name.

The early kicking technique for this move is the right foot inside carrying the ball to the left, while the player’s left foot also moves forward at the same time.

Thus, when the ball contacts the left foot it’ll be brought to the front of the left foot.

When performing this move, the actions of the right foot and left foot almost occur simultaneously; both feet almost leave the ground at the same time, resembling a slight jump.

And the ball also, in the instant, first rolls left then rolls forward, creating an L-shaped wall effect movement.

Visual effect is great, and difficulty level is not particularly high.

But speaking more advanced, this move has many technical variations.

Such as greater movement amplitude, different left-right Fried Meatballs, continuous Fried Meatballs, or incorporating wrist actions with large swinging amplitude during the touch, or connecting Rabona after Fried Meatballs, or shooting after Fried Meatballs.

But no matter what, the visual peak of this move probably belongs to Messi’s single-foot Fried Meatballs, even though Iniesta’s Fried Meatballs is the most famous.

Both feet nearly simultaneously lift to perform the move creating Fried Meatballs, performed by one foot; the speed of this move is obvious.

For ordinary people, this is almost impossible.

That’s why Morici thinks Lu Yang doesn’t really understand.

Alright.

Lu Yang indeed doesn’t really master Fried Meatballs for now.

But...

”Wait until the day I draw Messi’s Moment Card to show you, then I’ll teach you a lesson!” Lu Yang looked at the exasperated Morici, enjoying seeing this guy wanting to hit him but not daring to.

”By the way, what’s the situation with Becher’s? He’s not still a problem, is he?” Morici didn’t know what Messi Moment Card was, asked a key question.

Lu Yang then smiled: ”In the next game, barring any accidents, he’ll stay on the bench. Until he figures things out, he might get a chance to play... and of course, this ’until’ could be anytime between one day to three years... or longer!”

It’s not like Lu Yang is being a small-minded victor, it’s really because Becher’s style makes Lu Yang uncomfortable playing.

Now with Becher’s out, Lu Yang can become that invincible shooter from the flank again.

No... now, he should be called the War God!
