I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 418: Chapter 253:

Where the sword’s edge reaches, a corpse inevitably falls with a thud.

Some goblins tried to retaliate, but their heavy bone clubs struck only the afterimage left by Gauss.

This was undoubtedly a one-sided massacre!

Fear spread among the goblins like a plague.

Watching their leader and other chiefs fall like cut wheat under the swift-moving figure’s assault, the last of their resistance crumbled!

”Uwaaah!!”

”Waaah!”

The goblins screamed, dropped their weapons, and ran towards the sides of the ship, only wanting to jump into the sea to survive.

However, Gauss did not give them that final chance.

”Cloud of Daggers!”

Magic quickly coalesced before Gauss into a spinning cloud of daggers, like a lethal cloud, advancing with a push of Gauss’s arm, utterly enveloping the goblins who turned to flee!

As a 2nd-level Attack Spell, the Cloud of Daggers is extremely effective in enclosed spaces.

Although the ship was not strictly an enclosed space, its results were monstrous.

This terrifying ”lethal cloud” rapidly advanced, and with the cutting of numerous spinning daggers, countless slender wounds bloomed on the goblins’ skins, pausing briefly before bursting open with a rush of blood!

”Swish!!”

A rain of blood fell on the goblin ship.

Crimson blood quickly flowed unrestrained across the deck.

Gauss directed the ”Cloud of Daggers” in three consecutive directions.

The attack enveloped almost 90% of the ship’s area.

No ordinary goblin could withstand the frenzied slicing of this lethal cloud that covered the deck.

When Gauss lowered his hand.

The densely packed goblins were nowhere to be seen.

Looking down,

A thick, sticky mix of flesh and blood covered the entire ship.

Elsewhere, sailors aiming light ballistae to shoot enemies overboard noticed the great commotion here.

They turned toward the sound.

Their pupils contracted violently!

The distant brown ship had turned into a rancid blood vessel.

Causing anyone who saw it at first glance to feel a twitch in their brains, instinctively sensing a strong discomfort!

Like a slaughterhouse.

What happened?

Their gaze turned to Gauss, standing firmly at the stern.

Spotless, without a speck of dust, he sharply contrasted the ship turned into a hell of flesh and blood.

It was as if he wasn’t the creator of that bloody hell, but rather a passerby.

But if it wasn’t him, who else could it be?

”So... powerful!”

Not until now,

Did these sailors realize that yesterday’s demonstration of Gauss’s power was not the entirety.

Left undisturbed, Gauss was terrifying to his full extent.

To the extent that even they felt fear.

If Gauss launched the same attack on the Seagull, would they be any different from the goblins reduced to bloody mud?

Thinking about this,

They couldn’t help but swallow hard.

Gauss set his gaze upon the sea.

Satisfied but not content with the results of the Cloud of Daggers, a 2nd-level Spell he had practiced for some time and finally showcased its genuine power.

Under his command, other clay Beach Goblins jumped into the sea with a splash.

In reality, clay creatures are susceptible to corrosion in seawater, and even if their chosen host originally possessed the ability to swim and dive, clay creatures are not suited for underwater combat.

Fortunately, the magic power from Clay Magic could temporarily protect them, using magic power to form a waterproof membrane, enough for a short time.

It sounds miraculous, but that’s magic for you!

Soon, as the clay creatures entered the sea, the previously calm water quickly stained with crimson blood.

The kill count on Gauss’s visual panel continued to rise rapidly.

With the threefold assault of the Cloud of Daggers and the relentless pursuit of clay creatures, nearly two hundred goblins were eliminated.

”Monster Kill Total: 5275”

”Monster Kill Total: 5278”

”5285”

....

Now, under the continued pursuit of the clay creatures in the sea, the numbers kept climbing.

Unfortunately, the 3rd-level spells ”Fireball Technique” and ”Flying Technique” he was attempting to learn were not yet mastered, or he would have already showcased them.

Ah, the Fireball Technique.

Thinking about it made him itch with eagerness.

If even the 2nd-level Cloud of Daggers could achieve such results in this arena, wouldn’t a single cast of a 3rd-level Fireball Technique sink this ship?

Even if one wouldn’t cut it, several should do the trick, right?

Without much further thought, he feared his lack of firepower was kicking in.

He resolved to continue focusing on mastering 3rd-level spells upon his return.

The battle gradually concluded with the sailors and Aaliyah and others wrapping things up.

The battlefield quieted down; the remaining goblins were either cleaned up or narrowly escaped the clay creatures, vanishing into parts unknown.

The sea returned to its calm state.

Aside from the shrill cries of seagulls overhead and the deep breaths of the sailors, there was no other noise.

Serdur was healing the injured sailors.

The chaos of the earlier battle resulted in some sailors sustaining injuries, as expected.

Fortunately, there were no severe casualties.

This still came down to Gauss’s credit, even though he did not directly assist this time, his aura that weakened the goblins provided the sailors with significant aid.
