I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 413: Chapter 251: Shasha Fishman (Part 2)

A sword unstained by blood is no different from a child’s toy.

His figure moved swiftly, instantly cutting into the ranks of the Shasha Fish People who had just boarded the ship.

Following his advance, the White Falcon Breathing Technique naturally circulated within him.

A calm yet sharp aura quickly filled his entire body, giving his every move a unique rhythm.

This special momentum was something he had never had before.

Even though his physical attributes were already stronger than many Elite Level melee Professionals.

The first Shasha Fishman had just steadied itself, its bone spear not yet raised, when a flash of white sword light rapidly enlarged before its eyes!

”White Falcon - Skimming Wave!”

The rapier, Drifter, angled obliquely upward with extreme precision, slicing through the gap between the fishman’s rough neck and the bone shell neck guard, with a sound like tearing air.

Foul blood gushed forth instantly.

The fishman’s protruding eyes still held a trace of bloodthirsty excitement, but its consciousness sunk into eternal darkness in an instant.

Gauss’s steps did not pause, gliding across the deck.

He passed through several Shasha Fish People in a row, like a white falcon skimming through to peck, swiftly piercing their exposed vital areas.

Precision, ruthless, without a single unnecessary motion.

”Splat!”

Gauss’s lithe figure continuously flickered, claiming a fishman’s life with each fleeting pause.

Occasionally, when a fishman reacted, raising its weapon to slash, the bone knife would be deflected using its power, subsequently cutting into the hand holding the weapon, before swiftly running across the fishman’s throat.

”So fast!”

Fern, having just given an order, momentarily froze upon seeing this scene.

In a daze, he seemed to see a light falcon gliding by.

This could no longer be described as mere strength; the killing seemed to carry a unique aesthetic in his hands.

A very advanced Sword Skill!

He made this judgment immediately.

At least more advanced than what he had mastered.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but reveal a wry smile at the corner of his mouth.

As a Caster, Gauss’s Swordsmanship was even more profound than the Sword Skills he had practiced all his life.

Has the new generation of Adventurers become this intense?

Indeed, his decision to leave the Adventurer industry was the right one.

Shaking off his complicated emotions, he also raised his longsword and charged forward.

Gauss’s powerful strength, combined with his effortless elegance in slaughtering the fishmen, also inspired and motivated the other sailors, whose faces soon filled with determination as they raised their weapons and sought out their own adversaries.

However, what surprised them was that.

While Gauss was slaughtering the boarding fishmen, he didn’t forget to lend them a helping hand.

As he passed by, he would also kill enemies in passing, helping them resolve crises.

Before long, Aaliyah and her companions, hearing the commotion above the deck, also emerged to assist Gauss and the others in battle.

With their joining, the battle was quickly coming to an end.

Gauss wiped the bloodstains off Drifter, showing a satisfied expression on his face.

”Killed Shasha Fishman *68”

”Killed Elite Demon Shasha Fishman Priestess *1”

”Acquired Title [Deep Sea Fishman Hunter], the title will upgrade with the increase in kills.”

”Current Effect: Star Destruction. In battles against the Deep Sea Fishman race, attacks deal an additional 10% damage.”

”You have cumulatively killed 50 Shasha Fishmen, the title [Deep Sea Fishman Hunter] has upgraded to [Deep Sea Fishman Slayer].”

Current Effect: Star Destruction. In battles against the Deep Sea Fishman race, attacks deal an additional 20% damage.

There were over a hundred Shasha Fishmen that appeared just now, including an Elite Demon Shasha Fishman Priestess.

Actually, Gauss hadn’t noticed the latter at first since it was hiding underwater.

However, when she attempted a human Immobilization Technique and Gauss quickly broke free using his formidable physical attributes and magic resistance, he pinpointed her location.

Using the substantial Shasha Fishman spirituality he had just absorbed, he utilized Clay Magic to quickly construct a clay Shasha Fishman.

The clay fishman leaped into the water, forcing her out from beneath the surface, after which Gauss sent the priestess to meet her deity, Shark God Serkola, with an upgraded Magic Missile.

The whole process was as smooth as flowing water. Except for one sailor who accidentally stepped on the sticky blood of the Fish People on the deck and slipped, hitting the ship’s railing, there were no other injuries among the crew.

After the battle, the crew began to clean the ship and collect the spoils.

All the sailors present looked at Gauss with changed eyes. Any doubts due to his young appearance had disappeared, replaced by undisguised awe and gratitude.

Even though they already knew Gauss’s identity and Adventurer level, they didn’t expect his actual strength to be so powerful.

For a merchant ship of this size, the presence of hundreds of Shasha Fish People and a Fish People Priestess is already an extremely troublesome enemy. Even with two Professionals: the captain and the first mate, along with some light ballistae, they would still have to pay a certain price to possibly defeat this group of Fish People.

As for the price, it would be these ordinary sailors.

Now, almost the entire crew was unscathed, which only goes to show that Gauss’s strength is truly overwhelming.

Sailors are rough people, most in awe of strength.

They may not understand what advanced Sword Skills are or the intricacies of Magic, but they understand the results.

It was this Adventurer Squad, especially Gauss, who protected them and the ship with an almost crushing stance.

Although other Adventurers would participate in the fight too, they might not take care of everyone’s safety as thoughtfully as Gauss did.

In the chaos that had just occurred, even if most bronze-level Adventurers were here, there would still be some sailors injured or even killed.

”Mr. Gauss, we really have you and your teammates to thank this time.” Captain Fern stepped forward, his tone sincere, with a hint of relief. ”I didn’t expect to encounter a group of Shasha Fish People in this location and time.”

”It was our oversight.”

”If you all weren’t here today, the Seagull would likely have been doomed.”

Fern felt extremely fortunate.

Generally speaking, Shasha Fish People and Beach Goblins are also enemies. In a place where one exists, it’s often hard to see the other side, unless they’re in the midst of a battle.

So he indeed had been careless.

Otherwise, he should have been able to detect the presence of Shasha Fish People earlier.

”Just doing our duty, Captain Fern, no need for thanks,” Gauss responded calmly.

The enemies just now, for him, were nothing more than a warm-up.

He also took the opportunity to test the strength of the White Falcon Sword Skill in actual combat.

The facts proved that it was indeed useful.

Even without mastering such advanced techniques, he could kill these low-level creatures with just one sword strike.

But even with one sword strike, there’s a difference.

Now, it’s even less effort for him to kill.

Don’t underestimate this little difference, it makes a big impact on endurance in long-term battles.

With his powerful recovery ability and talent ”Special Stomach,” he faces large numbers of low-level creatures even more effortlessly.

He’s born to be a ”small monster killer.”

Every enemy attempting to drain his stamina with numbers finds their seemingly foolproof strategies destined to fail.

Compared to other Professionals, Gauss becomes more and more difficult to deal with for the Demon faction, harder and harder to kill.

It’s like holding a panel of a growing BOSS.

The deck was buzzing with activity.

Soon, the blood on the ship was cleaned off, and the Fish People who had died underwater were retrieved by sailors adept at swimming, all sorts of spoils were stacked into a small pile.

Fern confirmed the quantities and approached Gauss hesitantly to inquire.

”Mr. Gauss, how about an 80-20 split for the spoils this time?”

”Is two-tenths a bit too little?”

”You and your teammates take eighty percent, and we, the Seagull, take twenty percent.” Fern thought Gauss had misunderstood.

”No, I meant, is two-tenths enough for so many of you?” Gauss shook his head.

He wasn’t really sure how the spoils customarily divided among those following the ship.

”It’s enough, it’s enough.” Fern nodded quickly.

There’s no fixed rule for dividing the spoils, it’s decided based on the strength and contribution of both parties.

If it had been an ordinary Adventurer Squad, he might have proposed a five-five split, or even seven-three, with the fleet taking seven and the Adventurers three.

After all, the fleet has many people, and going out to sea once is not easy, with all the supplies, repairs, and manpower requiring a lot of funds.

But the results this time were very impressive, Gauss’s team did most of the work, while their ship contributed in salvage and navigation, so he didn’t demand too much, and twenty percent was a reasonable share.

What each person could get wouldn’t be much, but it’s enough for the sailors to enjoy themselves on land for a while.
