Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1126: Chapter 811: Journey to France_3

Kael lay in bed and quickly fell asleep.

And so it remained until the next day.

When Kael got up and came downstairs, Chris had already gone to the Ministry of Magic.

He found a few pieces of toast and slices of ham to make a simple sandwich, and also gave Fawkes a large handful of Cloak Grass.

This herb is one of Fawkes’ favorite foods and is a main ingredient for making the Bafe Awakening Potion and Vitality Potion, costing even more than Mandrake.

After all, this is a cross-country journey, and Fawkes has helped him a lot before, it’s only right to be generous this time.

Once Fawkes was full, Kael touched the feathers on its tail.

”I’m counting on you.” 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Having just had a large meal, Fawkes naturally had no objections and spread its wings to grab Kael’s shoulder.

...

Perhaps due to the long journey, Kael felt this time of spinning and dizziness lasted longer than before.

Even Kael, who had gradually become accustomed to traveling with the Phoenix, found it a bit overwhelming.

In a daze, Kael felt his feet stand again on solid ground, and he could hear a buzzing sound again.

It was indeed a buzzing sound because he couldn’t understand a word.

Kael paused for a good while before slowly opening his eyes.

By then, he had appeared in France, in a small alley on the streets of Paris, not far from the bustling avenue.

The street was filled with pedestrians passing by, none of whom noticed him, the unexpected guest.

Kael walked from the alley to the main street, and at this moment, he suddenly realized he might have been a bit careless.

He didn’t know the way.

This was normal, after all, it was his first time in France... well, the second time, but last time Nicolas sent him directly, no need to find the way, he went straight to the destination.

But this time was different, Fawkes could Apparate, but didn’t know the specific address, even though Kael had told it, it didn’t know how to get there, so where they appeared was nearly random.

That’s awkward.

More awkwardly, Kael’s French wasn’t very good; during the Triwizard Tournament, he studied for a while, but after arriving here, he found it simply wasn’t enough, as he couldn’t say the name of the address in French.

This made it impossible for him even to ask for directions.

”Should I use magic?” Kael hesitated.

He wasn’t familiar with the French Ministry of Magic and wasn’t sure if using magic rashly would catch the attention of the Aurors here.

But without magic, he couldn’t very well go back.

Just as Kael was caught in a dilemma, there was suddenly a stir from the alley he had just emerged from.

A person staggered out from the other end, seemingly having spent all night drinking in a bar, barely able to stay awake.

”Got an idea.” Kael immediately turned back, standing in front of that person.

”Excuse me, where is the triangular building?” He asked slowly in French.

”Huh, get lost...” That person raised their head drowsily, seemingly muttering a curse.

However, in the next moment, his eyes widened, and the alcohol seemed to clear halfway.

He saw a... leopard? It was about the height of a human.

It should be a leopard, but how could a leopard have six legs.

”Hello, could you tell me where the triangular building is?”

Kael repeated the previous question.

Meanwhile, the person snapped back to reality.

He didn’t answer Kael’s question; his somewhat numb brain took a full two seconds to remind him it was time to scream.

But just as he opened his mouth, he saw the leopard’s eyes change from orange to purple.

Such a captivating color, just like his favorite vintage wine.

Groggily, he felt as though he was soaking in a giant wine glass, but where could you find a wine glass that big? This must be a dream, just like the six-legged leopard he had just seen.

Wait, a leopard with how many legs?

”Thump...”

With a thud-induced pain, the man suddenly sobered up.

He found himself lying on the ground, surrounded by a group of people pointing at him.

”Oh, how did I fall asleep here.” He patted his head, ”So embarrassing, darn Bidi, never again will I drink with him for so long.”

He quickly stood up, covered his face, and walked briskly out of the alley as if nothing had happened, seemingly completely forgetting what had just occurred... or perhaps having dismissed it as a dream and instinctively ignoring it.
