Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1112: Chapter 807: The Work of the Hogwarts Headmaster

”Aurora Sinistra wants a brand new set of planet models, equipped with magic power storage and automatic calibration functions, priced around two thousand Galleons...”

”Filius Flitwick wants to reopen the Dueling Club for students above the third year...”

”Severus Snape needs a full set of magical armor and combat puppets, as well as two hundred pounds of various potion materials...”

The next day, when Kael leisurely arrived at the Headmaster’s Office and looked at a stack of documents ten inches high on the desk, he was stunned.

He had always thought that once he got through yesterday’s opening feast, this task would be a very idle job.

But now what were these documents sent over?

He was just an impostor, drank Polyjuice Potion to impersonate Dumbledore, and no one told him he’d have to actually act as Headmaster.

And then there were these outrageous requests.

He dared say Snape’s injury couldn’t be on his mouth, otherwise, he wouldn’t be asking for two hundred pounds of potion materials at once.

That’s potion materials, not two hundred pounds of potatoes.

Not to mention precious materials like unicorn horns, aconite, fire dragon eggshell, ashwinder eggs, even average consumables like lionfish bone powder and valerian are not cheap.

Asking for two hundred pounds at once, how could he be that daring?

Oh, and there’s someone with an even bigger mouth,

Slughorn

Not only did he ask for a hundred pounds of potion materials, but also applied for fifty sets of automatic stirring cauldrons...

You could say old professors think of students, one set of automatic stirring cauldrons costs thirty-five Galleons, so this offhand statement is one thousand seven hundred and fifty Galleons.

With this number, Mr. Weasley would have to save up for more than two years without eating or drinking.

Kael flipped further down the stack.

Goodness, even more outrageous.

”Sprout wants to build three new greenhouses...”

”Filch suggests adding thirty-five new school rules...”

”The Hospital Wing wants to purchase the latest potion preservation equipment...”

Kael put the parchment back on top of the stack of documents and looked up at Professor McGonagall.

”These aren’t meant for me, are they?”

Professor McGonagall raised her eyebrows and said nothing.

”This is definitely not okay.” Kael seemed to realize something, and instinctively said, ”Letting me use Polyjuice Potion to impersonate Professor Dumbledore is fine, but I’m posing as Dumbledore the person, not the actual Headmaster! Let’s wait for him to come back before dealing with these.”

”No, you’re mistaken.” Professor McGonagall said calmly, ”You might want to read that letter again, it states very clearly.”

Letter?

Kael was slightly taken aback.

On the train, he only took the hair and Polyjuice Potion, he casually tossed everything else aside, and now with McGonagall’s reminder, he couldn’t even remember where he put the letter.

Kael could only rummage through his pockets.

Galleon, universal key, jerky, owl nuts... he found several small trinkets but no letter.

Finally, Fawkes flew over and dropped a piece of parchment held in its mouth onto the table... it was the letter Dumbledore had written to him.

Kael quickly picked it up and glanced at it.

”At the bottom, fifth line from the end...” Professor McGonagall reminded.

Kael’s eyes moved downwards,

[Everything needed is in another bag, please use Polyjuice Potion to temporarily assume the Headmaster’s duties for me.]

That was the line.

Back on the train, Kael had seen it but hadn’t thought much about it, or rather, upon seeing the Polyjuice Potion, he ignored the latter half of the line.

Kael thought this was very normal, no matter who saw the Polyjuice Potion would assume they’re just impersonating him for appearances, right?

And also, which normal person would entrust such an important position as Headmaster to someone who just graduated last year?

Kael couldn’t figure it out anyway.

An act pretending is enough, why take it seriously?

”No way, I bet he wrote it offhand.” Kael tossed the letter onto the table and stressed, ”Professor McGonagall, I only graduated last year, asking me to handle school matters is too reckless, you surely disagree too, right.”

”Actually, I have no objections, otherwise I wouldn’t have brought these to you.”

To Kael’s surprise, the usually serious and stern Professor McGonagall nodded, ”And Dumbledore wouldn’t make a mistake in writing.”

Kael felt completely undone.

How could she agree?

Could it be that the McGonagall in front of him was also impersonated with Polyjuice Potion?

Otherwise, there’s no way to explain why she would make such an unusual decision.

”Too young.” Kael said.

”That doesn’t matter.” Professor McGonagall said casually.

”The board won’t agree.”

”With Dumbledore’s letter, they will agree.”

”But I’m inexperienced.” ℯℯ𝑙.

”That’s fine, you can learn, nobody is born a headmaster, I believe in your ability to learn, which has already been proven during school.”

”No need to believe at this moment.” Kael muttered internally.

”Then I’ll agree to all of them.” Unable to find an excuse, Kael prepared to act shamelessly and slapped the stack of documents.

Even though he hadn’t finished reading, roughly estimating, fulfilling all these requests would require at least fifty to sixty thousand Galleons.

He didn’t believe Professor McGonagall would let him mess around.

”That would be great, if you can convince the board to pay.” Professor McGonagall lightly lifted her eyelids, ”Oh, by the way, in that case, I’ll also send an application later.”

”I have always felt that the animals needed for Transfiguration Class are too small and not challenging enough, I want to buy bigger ones, previously it was unsuccessful due to cost issues. But now... I suppose my share wouldn’t make much difference, right.”
