Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1125: Chapter 811: Journey to France (Part 2)

Thinking about it, his colleague could only be a goblin.

”I wanted to ask just now, is there any situation over at Gringotts?” Mr. Weasley looked at Bill anxiously.

”I can’t see anything for now.” Bill shook his head, ”Although someone told me that the Death Eaters are indeed in contact with the goblins, Gringotts openly refused to cooperate with them.”

”That’s for sure.” Charlie took a bite of the fried meat patty, ”If the goblins cooperated with the Death Eaters, their underground vaults might be half empty the next day, those goblins are very cunning, they might do it but they won’t let anyone know.”

”That’s true... but mom, should we take the money out of Gringotts.” Fred turned to Mrs. Weasley, ”I always feel it’s not safe to keep it in the goblins’ vault.”

”Just take care of your own gold coins...” Mrs. Weasley said with a slightly awkward expression. ”Don’t worry about the family affairs, I will handle it.”

Previously, when they lived at No. 12 Grimmauld Place in the past two years, because they didn’t have to worry about food expenses, and most of the children had graduated, they managed to save some money.

Then this money was used to buy a coming-of-age gift for Harry.

Thinking carefully, in the Weasley family’s vault in Gringotts, there might be only a few Silver Coins left. If the Death Eaters want them, they can have them.

Of course, Mrs. Weasley would never say these words in front of the several kids, she mumbled a few words and covered it up.

But for this matter, Kael and Chris didn’t really care.

Kael never actually put money in Gringotts, he had a vault there which he opened before going to Hogwarts, mainly for novelty.

At that time, he remembered putting in three Sickles and nine Knuts.

And this money has been stored without movement till now... hmm... maybe it moved, over time, Kael couldn’t quite remember, but he was sure that the total amount wouldn’t exceed one Galleon.

As for Chris... he really didn’t care, mainly because he understood goblins.

If goblins really cooperated with the Death Eaters, it would mean Gringotts stood with Voldemort.

Firstly, the Ministry of Magic would never allow this to happen, even if there’s such a signal, the Aurors would likely forcibly take over Gringotts.

Besides, nobody would be willing, or dare to put their Galleons in the pockets of the Death Eaters, easy to put in, but it would probably be hard to take out.

So if such a trend appeared, taking the money out in advance was the best way to solve this problem, the goblins at Gringotts couldn’t make such a low-level mistake.

They could only, and must stay neutral like St Mungo’s Hospital.

And given the goblins’ power and methods, wizards wouldn’t want to go to war with them unless there’s a special situation.

There’s no need for that.

...

After chatting for more than an hour, everyone finally finished the dinner.

Mrs. Weasley and a few children took the empty plates to the Shabby Residence, during which Fred and Charlie used their wands to make the plates duel... colliding with each other to see whose plate was sturdier, after being discovered by Mrs. Weasley, they hurriedly used their wands to repair the broken plates.

Kael and Chris wanted to help, but being refused, they returned to their own home.

At this time, Kael realized again that he hadn’t been home for a long time.

As soon as he opened the door, the old Kneazle came up, tilting its head to scrutinize him for a while.

”Dad, I feel like Tom has gotten fatter again.” Kael frowned.

Now Tom looked like a walking carpet, a large patch sprawled out there.

But Kael forgot, Kneazles are quite intelligent Fantastic Beasts, their intelligence shown in their ability to understand Wizard speak.

Thus Kael felt something trampling over his foot.

”It’s inevitable.” Chris said helplessly, ”You’ve been away for years, and we’ve been busy with work, no time to take care of it.”

”Shouldn’t it get thinner then?” Kael didn’t understand.

”It finds its own food.” Chris said, ”No matter where I hide the jerky, it always finds it and eats it all... also the birds in the nearby woods, it has almost caught them all.”

”It can still catch birds like that... Oh!”

Kael felt his foot being pressed again.

”Easily.” Chris said, ”No matter what, it is a Kneazle, and mainly its fur has grown longer, it doesn’t actually look that fat.”

While speaking, Chris had already taken off his coat and placed it on the coat rack.

From the pocket on Kael’s chest, the Bowtruckle he always carried with him climbed out and jumped onto a potted plant beside the stairs.

This Bowtruckle was also raised by Kael from a young age, and because of its small size, it wouldn’t be discovered even if brought to school.

”When are you planning to go to France?” Chris asked.

”Tomorrow I guess.”

”In such a hurry?”

”If there’s anything, I could delay it a few days.”

”No, it’s fine.” Chris said, ”But you must promise me, once you’re there, always keep the Phoenix with you, and if anything seems off, run immediately, don’t hesitate.”

”Rest assured, I know what to do.”

After chatting a few more words, Chris drove Kael back to the bedroom on the second floor.

Although he hadn’t been back for a long time, the room was still clean with no dust at all.
