Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 799: Chapter 702: Spinner’s End, Bellatrix’s Mistake

As the Minister of Magic, once Fudge decided on something, there was nothing Scrimgeour could do even if he was unwilling.

Especially after receiving one-fifth of the donations, his attitude wasn’t as firm as before, and he acquiesced to Fudge’s suggestion to let Lupin try.

When Sirius walked out of the Ministry of Magic, he had an extra piece of parchment in his hand.

”I never thought that a problem that troubled Remus for decades could be solved so easily?” Sirius carefully put the parchment away, ”I have to thank you on behalf of Remus, Kael.”

”That five thousand Galleons wasn’t from me,” Kael said, ”and it’s not simple at all, after all, not everyone can casually come up with five thousand Galleons.

”Moreover, it has a lot to do with Lupin’s identity.”

”Lupin’s identity...” Sirius was a bit confused, asking, ”A member of the Order of Phoenix?”

Besides that, he couldn’t think of any other special identity Lupin had.

”You could say that,” Kael said, ”Dumbledore trusted him, not only allowing him into Hogwarts against the norm but also letting him become a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, which is the main reason Fudge and Scrimgeour would agree...

”If it wasn’t for Dumbledore paving the way, it’s not just about donating five thousand Galleons, even if someone donated fifty thousand Galleons, the Ministry of Magic wouldn’t agree to let a werewolf become an Auror.”

”No way... that’s fifty thousand Galleons,” Sirius said with some doubt.

Fifty thousand Galleons is a fortune even for those ancient Pure-Blood families.

”The situation is different now,” Kael said, ”The werewolves have made it clear they will join the Death Eaters, and if people knew the Ministry allowed a werewolf to become an Auror, Fudge would be driven out of office by angry wizards the next day, taking Scrimgeour with him.”

”Then Remus...”

”He is different, I just said, Professor Dumbledore paved the way...” Kael said softly, ”Even if people knew, Fudge only needs to say, ’he once taught at Hogwarts and was trusted deeply by Dumbledore,’ and the wizard’s anger would be easily appeased.”

”Is that so?” Sirius nodded, half-understanding.

He didn’t fully understand, but it seemed to make sense.

But anyway, Lupin can finally live openly, just like when he cleared his name back then.

Of course, there would still be strange looks, but Sirius believed that with Lupin’s character, he would earn more respect over time.

At Hogwarts, Lupin did it successfully, and after he resigned, at least a hundred students sent him letters and gifts during Christmas.

As for Lupin spending all his savings to return the gifts and borrowing quite a bit of money from him... that wasn’t important.

”I need to get back and tell Remus the good news as soon as possible,” Sirius said eagerly. ”What about you, want to come with me?”

”No,” Kael shook his head, ”I’ve been delayed long enough, I have to get to Cedric quickly, he’s probably getting impatient.”

”Still about the Dementor matter?” Sirius asked.

”Yes,” Kael nodded.

”Haven’t I already made the donation? Soon the newspapers should have the bounty notice for the Dementors, shouldn’t you not be in such a hurry?”

”The bounty is just to speed up the process, it doesn’t conflict.”

”Alright then.” Sirius said nothing more, only reminded seriously, ”Be very careful, if anything seems wrong, don’t hesitate, just run.”

”Don’t worry, I know,” Kael said.

Then the two went their separate ways.

Kael returned to Ottery St Catchpole and found Cedric pacing anxiously in front of his house.

”You’re finally back, I’ve been waiting for you all morning...”

”Sorry, I was delayed because of some things,” Kael said, just then realizing there wasn’t only Cedric.

Next to him was a little elf, wearing goggles and a leather jacket, dressed like a rock singer.

In Kael’s impression, there was only one house-elf whose style was so trendy...

”Tata?” Kael asked in surprise, ”Why are you here?”

”The master sent me,” Tata said as he walked over.

”Nicolas?” Kael ruffled his hair.

Indeed, the Tata before him was Nicolas Flamel’s house-elf, but one thing puzzled him...

”I just asked Nicolas how to use that thing, couldn’t he have said it on Message Paper, why did he send you all the way from Devon?”

”The master said...” Tata cleared his throat, ”It’s really surprising, I’ve lived over six hundred years, and never heard of anyone using the Fiendfyre Curse against Dementors, no normal wizard would do that...”

Tata mimicked Nicolas’s tone vividly, but the more Kael listened, the more things felt off.

What did he mean by ’no normal wizard would do that,’ is he not normal?

Also, there hadn’t been a situation of Dementors rebelling before, had there...

Unfortunately, Nicolas wasn’t here, and Tata, a house-elf, probably couldn’t answer his question.

Kael thought for a moment, then took out a bottle filled with black particles.

”So Nicolas doesn’t know what this thing is for either?”

”No.” Tata said, ”But the master finds it very interesting, that’s why he sent me to bring some back.”
