Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 755: Chapter 687: The Hidden Part of the Prophecy (2)

Soon, Mrs. Weasley’s voice came from outside.

”You are his brothers, how could you let him go to such a dangerous place.”

Then Fred and George spoke up.

”Mom, how could we have stopped him? He was riding a Thestral...”

”Yeah, we can’t just fly out and grab him back, can we...”

”Or break his legs beforehand!”

...

Kael looked back at Ron, who was already shivering, curling up weakly on the bed.

”You better just apologize directly,” Kael kindly reminded him, ”Don’t say how much help you were or make any excuses. Just apologize, and say as little as possible.”

”Ah? Why.” Ron was stunned. He had been thinking about exaggerating his role a bit more.

After all, they had stopped Voldemort’s plot this time, wasn’t this what the Order of Phoenix was doing?

”Because whatever you can think of, Mr. Weasley has probably already said. Saying it again is useless.”

”Bang!”

At this moment, the door to the room was pushed open from the outside.

Mrs. Weasley rushed in, looking as if she had just been crying, and immediately ran to Ron, hugging him tightly.

”Thank goodness you’re safe.” Mrs. Weasley checked on Ron, and only after confirming he was alright, she suddenly hardened her expression and said:

”How dare you go against the Death Eaters... yesterday the Magic Clock showed that you and your father were in danger, I about fainted.”

Ron was about to say he wasn’t alone, but remembering Kael’s words, he swallowed his words and instead said, ”Sorry, Mom, it won’t happen again.”

Mrs. Weasley was on the verge of tears again. She hugged Ron once more.

Mr. Weasley behind them blinked in surprise but also breathed a sigh of relief.

”Oh, and you...” After releasing Ron, Mrs. Weasley turned to give Kael a hug.

”Thank you for saving them both.”

”It’s nothing...” Kael shook his head, ”Besides, Mrs. Weasley, I’ve heard this kind of gratitude countless times since yesterday. Why can’t you all say it at once.”

”It’s because we see you at different times,” Mrs. Weasley said, hugging Kael once more and then looking around.

”Where’s Harry, didn’t Arthur say he got hurt too?”

”Harry should be in the Headmaster’s Office.” Lupin said, ”He seems to have questions for Dumbledore.”

...

Meanwhile, in the Headmaster’s Office.

Harry moved his gaze from the blue figure above the Pensieve.

The entire office was silent, including the portraits on the walls, no one said a word.

”Professor Dumbledore...” After an unknown period, Harry softly spoke, ”Is this the complete prophecy?”

”Yes.” Dumbledore nodded.

”I don’t understand... what does it mean?” Harry thought again of the words the blue figure had just spoken.

”The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him... born as the seventh month dies... the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal...”

”It means,” Dumbledore said, ”the one hope who can defeat Voldemort was born near the end of July nearly sixteen years ago...”

Harry felt something pressing down on him, making it hard to breathe.

”That person is... me?”

He suddenly had an absurd idea but quickly shook his head... how could it be, how could he be Voldemort’s equal?

Dumbledore took a deep breath.

”If you only consider the first part, it might not be you,” Dumbledore said quietly, ”That year, two boys were born in late July, one is you, the other is Neville Longbottom. Interestingly, both your families are in the Order of Phoenix and both survived Voldemort three times.”

”But then, if Neville fits too, why did the Crystal Ball have my name?” Harry frowned.

”That’s the crucial part of the prophecy,” Dumbledore said slowly, ”Remember the second part of the prophecy... Voldemort himself will mark him as his equal. That means he chose you, not Neville.”

”But Professor, isn’t there some mistake?” Harry still couldn’t understand, ”I’m nowhere near Voldemort’s equal, he can even easily... control me.”

”Maybe not so easily.” Dumbledore waved his wand, causing the figure above the Pensieve to turn back into a silver light.

”You possess a power that Voldemort does not, and that’s what led you to the Department of Mysteries last night to save Sirius.

”I thought about it, even without my intervention, you could use your heart to overcome Voldemort’s control.”

Could he overcome Voldemort’s control by himself? Honestly, Harry himself didn’t quite believe he could.

But thinking of that, he quickly remembered something else.

”Wait, Professor.” Harry said, ”I think Kael was also born at the end of July, could he be the person the prophecy refers to... After all, the prophecy only mentions the birth month.”

Dumbledore hesitated for a moment, then shook his head, ”I once thought of that too, but I’m afraid it’s not the case.”

”Why?”

”Again, because of the second part of the prophecy.” Dumbledore looked at Harry, or more precisely, at the scar on his forehead.

”Voldemort would personally mark his equal, that’s the most core part of the prophecy, and he chose his opponent when he gave you that scar.”
