Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 737: Chapter 681: Final Exams (Part 2)

”So you really plan to go over and help?” Conna raised an eyebrow.

”How could I, I was just talking.”

Kael shook his head, ”Although Professor Marchbank is already quite old, her eyesight is as good as ever, and she’s very experienced. Even if Tonks, the Metamorphmagus, came, she wouldn’t be deceived, not to mention Dumbledore is there too. I’d have to be crazy to think about helping the fifth-year students cheat.”

Incidentally, on the first day of the exam, Tonks had already returned to the Ministry of Magic, and the other teaching assistant, Teckros, had other matters and couldn’t come either. So Professor McGonagall had been substituting for Defense Against the Dark Arts all week.

Snape originally wanted to take on this task, but Dumbledore seemed to disagree. Recently, whenever you see Snape, he had a gloomy face like everyone owed him a hundred Galleons.

There were no exams on the weekend, and everyone was rushing to review.

Kael originally wanted to find Dumbledore, but didn’t know whether he was avoiding him or had left the school again. He knocked on the door on the eighth floor for a long time with no response.

Plus, without a password, the gargoyle at the entrance of the Headmaster’s Office wouldn’t let him in no matter what. Frustrated, Kael moved a painting from elsewhere and fixed it onto its head with a Stickfast Hex.

”Come back, you despicable thief, shameless rogue!”

Sir Cadogan, forcibly displaced, shouted furiously, but Kael acted like he didn’t hear and went straight down to the Hufflepuff common room.

The study atmosphere here could be said to be the best this year, with recitations and readings echoing in every corner.

Except for exceptions like Mikel and Ryan, who were sitting in the corner playing Wizard Chess.

”We’re reviewing this way too,” Mikel said confidently. ”I only feel my brain is active enough when playing chess, and the sounds of reading around me automatically go into my ears, so doesn’t that mean we’ve reviewed too?”

Seeing his serious demeanor, Kael blinked... Such a study method was unheard of, truly enlightening.

Finally, when Monday came, exams for other years also began.

The first subject for the sixth year was also the Charm exam.

Theory was as simple as ever, Kael finished it in just twenty minutes, but he couldn’t submit it early and had to stay until the exam ended to leave the classroom.

Next was the practical part. While Kael was waiting in line to enter the examination hall, he happened to see a group of fifth-year students coming down from upstairs... It seemed their exam was over.

When it was Kael’s turn, Professor Flitwick merely glanced up and drew a big circle on the parchment.

”Alright, you passed.” He said with a smile, ”I gave all the questions I could think of a week ago, but none of them stumped you, did they?

”Alright, go call the next person in.”

Kael just spun around in the classroom and left.

There was also the afternoon’s Transfiguration exam. Professor McGonagall was more meticulous than Professor Flitwick. Although she gave Kael full marks as soon as he stepped into the classroom, she still required him to go through the motions.

The next day during the Potion Class exam, Kael felt his brewed Universal Antidote had no issues, but he wasn’t confident about scoring high because Snape had been watching him coldly throughout.

It felt like Kael was the reason Snape couldn’t substitute for Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Wednesday was the Ancient Runes exam. This class had the fewest people, just under ten. Professor Babbling sat there nodding off, almost asleep, not caring if anyone was cheating below.

In fact, there was no need to, because the content she put out was hard to find, even if you openly flipped through the book. Instead of wasting time, it was better to randomly guess an answer.

For the Defense Against the Dark Arts exam, since both teaching assistants couldn’t come to Hogwarts, someone from the Wizard Examination Board took on the duty of invigilating.

It was a chubby witch, always smiling at them, but she caught three students trying to enter the examination hall with special magic tools right away. One even hid the item in the sole of their shoe but still couldn’t get past her.

”You’re walking lightly on the left foot, obviously hiding something inside.” She smiled at the door, ”You’d better take it out and throw it outside now, because if you enter the classroom, I’ll have to count you as cheating.”

The named student blushed immediately, lowered his head, and ran to the classroom next door.

The last exam was Magic History, which hadn’t changed in six years, almost a landmark of Hogwarts.

As long as you endure this dullest subject, it means the exams are over too.

However, during the last Magic History exam, an interesting event occurred.

According to the fifth-year students, Harry suddenly fainted during the exam and kept shouting some incomprehensible words.

”Potter kept saying stop... don’t touch him... run...”

Outside in the castle grounds, Susan vividly described what happened in the Magic History exam.

”He seemed to fall asleep and had a nightmare. Mr. Tofty originally wanted to send him to the Hospital Wing, but Potter insisted he was fine.”
