Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 708: Chapter 671: Dumbledore’s Counterattack, Kael’s New Job

After relaying the information he got from the Dementors, Kael was about to leave the Headmaster’s Office. He wasn’t concerned with how Dumbledore would handle it.

After all, he didn’t know the location of those sixty Dementors, and no one would tell him. Even if he wanted to help, he couldn’t.

But just as he was pulling open the door to leave, Dumbledore’s voice suddenly called out from behind him.

”Wait a minute.”

”Is there anything else, Headmaster?” Kael asked.

Dumbledore had a strange expression, opening his mouth as if to speak but hesitating, and then shook his head. ”No, nothing... I just wanted to say that from tomorrow, I might be away for a while.

”Oh, and I’ll be taking Fawkes with me.”

At this point, Dumbledore suddenly hesitated for a moment, not understanding himself why he added this sentence... Maybe he was subconsciously trying to refuse Kael in case he found an excuse to borrow the Phoenix again.

But Dumbledore didn’t pause for long, quickly continuing, ”If you urgently need to find me, go to the Hog’s Head Pub in Hogsmeade. I know you have ways to sneak over there.”

”Just to deal with the Dementors?” Kael asked curiously.

There were only about sixty Dementors in total. It didn’t seem like it would take Dumbledore that long.

Moreover, ever since news of Voldemort’s return spread, the castle had been in a state of anxiety, calming only with Dumbledore’s presence.

If he left now, especially for a long period, it might have some negative effects on the school.

”It’s not entirely because of the Dementors,” Dumbledore said. ”I also need to meet someone whose memory might provide us with crucial clues.”

”Who?” Kael asked casually, not expecting an answer.

But unexpectedly, Dumbledore didn’t hide the information and immediately replied, ”Bob Ogden.”

Kael thought about it, realizing he didn’t know the person, and didn’t pay any further attention, assuming it was some hidden member of the Order of Phoenix.

After all, there were so many members of the Order, it was impossible for Kael to remember them all, just like that Stodgy fellow. Even if he were standing here right now, Kael might not recognize him.

”Well, good luck, Professor.”

”The same to you.”

After leaving the Headmaster’s Office, Kael headed straight for the common room. As he passed through the entrance hall, he suddenly noticed a large group of people gathered in front of the bulletin board.

Strange, what’s being announced at this time...

Out of curiosity, Kael instinctively walked over.

”Oh, Kael...” someone greeted.

In an instant, the entire entrance hall fell silent, and everyone turned their gaze towards him.

This was the first time Kael had experienced such a situation. He didn’t immediately understand, standing there and asking, ”What’s going on with you all today?”

Everyone exchanged glances but said nothing, until a Hufflepuff hesitantly said, ”Um... I think you should see for yourself...”

As she finished speaking, the students standing between Kael and the bulletin board moved aside to make a path.

Without hesitation, Kael quickly walked over.

A brand-new notice had been posted on the bulletin board:

[Ministry of Magic Commendation Notice]

Seeing this title, Kael was quite pleased. A school-wide commendation from the Ministry of Magic was a great honor. He wondered who was so lucky...

Then he saw his own name.

But that wasn’t the main point. The important part was the paragraph that followed.

”Kael Chopper, a sixth-year Hufflepuff student, recently submitted a job application to the Ministry of Magic.

Although he has not yet reached the age of employment, given his numerous crucial insights during the Voldemort resurrection incident and his fearless act of rescuing Harry Potter from the Death Eaters’ encirclement, the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts have jointly decided to award him a special appointment.

”Effective immediately, he will officially take up the position of Senior Ministerial Assistant (intern) at the Ministry of Magic, and the position of Head Boy at Hogwarts.

”Additionally, during this special period, the Ministry of Magic will be working closely with Hogwarts and welcomes every excellent student interested in employment. Regardless of whether they have reached the age standard, we will consider each one seriously.”

[Signed by: Minister of Magic, Cornelius Oswald Fudge

Hogwarts Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore]

After reading the entire notice, Kael felt the veins on his forehead throbbing.

What was going on? When did he submit a job application to the Ministry of Magic...

Kael just wanted Dumbledore to become the Minister, not to join the Ministry of Magic himself... In the current situation, his task was already completed.

And what did Dumbledore’s signature mean? Couldn’t he see that this was the Ministry of Magic trying to poach Hogwarts?

No way!

Without hesitation, Kael turned and ran back to the eighth floor, stopping in front of the stone gargoyle.

”Fang Mint Candy!” Kael said the password.

But to his surprise, the stone beast didn’t react.

Kael repeated it, but the result was the same.

Apparently, in the few minutes he’d been away, Dumbledore had already changed the password.

Kael started naming other candies, almost going through the entire Honeydukes order list, but it was as if the stone beast was welded to the ground; it didn’t move an inch.
