Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 577: Chapter 575: Hog’s Head Pub

Because today is the final match of the Triwizard Tournament, which has been the most popular event for centuries, even the shopkeepers from Hogsmeade have gone to the school to watch, leaving the village unusually quiet.

But a few minutes ago, two pieces of news arrived, one after the other, breaking the silence here.

Firstly, Harry’s disappearance, followed by the sudden vanishing of the Triwizard Tournament champions in front of everyone.

Therefore, this place has become a focal point for inspection.

But only for those professors who know the truth.

Most people don’t know what has happened; even when they see Kai disappear, they just assume the referees have arranged some other content.

In Hog’s Head Pub, Sirius is holding a wand, menacingly confronting the pub’s owner.

Lupin is there too, without any intention to stop Sirius, instead lifting the hoods of the pub’s guests one by one to check their identities.

And those guests are cooperating without resistance... then again, facing a strong werewolf standing seven or eight feet tall, not many would dare to rebel.

Yes, today is a full moon.

Lupin just finished drinking the Wolf Poison Potion and was resting in the Shrieking Shack when he heard from Sirius about the sudden disappearance of Harry and Kai.

Unable to sit still, he immediately joined Sirius in searching for Harry’s whereabouts.

Although he has transformed into a werewolf, under the influence of the Wolf Poison Potion, his mind remains clear.

In decades, this is the first time Lupin doesn’t loathe his werewolf identity.

The hot-tempered guests in the pub initially didn’t want to cooperate with the inspection, with some even attempting to attack Sirius.

But when Lupin walked in, everyone quieted down, not only putting away their wands but actively cooperating with the inspection, more obedient than newborns at school.

The only unhappy one is the owner, a peculiar-tempered old man, tall and slender, with long gray-white hair and beard.

Holding a filthy cup, he stands there confronting Sirius.

”Get out, I don’t have the person you’re looking for here.”

”You can’t be sure of that,” Sirius retorted, unmoved, ”Everyone knows that the best place to hide your identity in Hogsmeade is the Hog’s Head Pub.”

The owner was enraged, hurling curses at Sirius.

But he only moved his mouth, doing nothing to stop Lupin, even cursing while wiping the cup in his hand.

Sirius frowned, unsure whether it was the cloth or something else causing the cup to look dirtier as it was being wiped.

No wonder the professors at school say that you can come to the Hog’s Head Pub, but it’s best to bring your own cup.

”Bang!”

Suddenly, Sirius heard a crisp sound of an explosion from outside.

The sound clearly reached Hog’s Head Pub.

Sirius became immediately alert, and simultaneously, Lupin turned his head and twitched his nose.

In the next second, he didn’t bother to check the remaining people, let out a whimper to Sirius, and then ran out of the pub.

They weren’t the first to arrive; as Sirius rushed out of the pub, he saw Professor Moody standing with his back to them in front of the Shrieking Shack.

”Stupefy!”

A red light collided accurately with Lupin, knocking him out.

”Wait, Professor Moody...” Sirius shouted loudly, ”He’s Remus Lupin!”

Upon hearing the voice, Professor Moody lifted his wand slightly, causing his second charm to deviate slightly, finally falling on the empty ground beside the werewolf and blasting a five-foot-wide hole.

Sirius was terrified, breaking out in cold sweat, hard to imagine what would have happened if the Blasting Curse had hit Lupin.

Even though he’s a werewolf now, he probably couldn’t withstand it.

”Remus?” Professor Moody turned around.

”Yes.” Sirius nodded, ”Thanks to Dumbledore’s help, the villagers in Hogsmeade have agreed to him living here.

”And he just drank the Wolf Poison Potion, here to help find Harry and Kai.”

”I see.” Professor Moody nodded and put away his wand. ”Werewolves have a keen sense of smell, very helpful in finding people, but it’s not needed now.”

His blue Magic Eye rolled back.

Sirius saw Kai and Harry standing behind Professor Moody.

Or rather, Kai was standing there, while Harry was dazedly lying on the ground, looking like he was about to vomit, and his leg seemed to be injured too.

”Thank God you’re finally back!” Now, Sirius didn’t care about the unconscious Lupin, quickly running over.

”What happened to you, what happened!”

”That’s exactly what I want to ask.” Professor Moody said.

”Voldemort, he’s resurrected.” Kai said without wasting words.

Just a few simple words made the surroundings become pin-drop silent.

”That’s impossible... impossible, he’s already dead!” Sirius seemed unable to believe it, stammering.

Because that day, James and Lily also died, he could never forget.

Professor Moody was also uncharacteristically silent, saying nothing.

”I don’t want to believe it either, but it’s true.” Kai shook his head, ”In fact, Professor Dumbledore is fighting him right now, which is why we could come back...”

”You really saw him?”

At this moment, Snape emerged from the shadows, his face showing an unnatural paleness, grabbing Kai’s shoulder, ”Are you sure you saw the Dark Lord yourself?”

”I’m certain, Professor.” Kai said.

Upon saying this, he could feel Snape’s hand tremble slightly.

”He’s really back...” Snape murmured.

After quite a while, the remaining two gradually accepted this... or temporarily accepted it.

After all, Voldemort was dead, as everyone in the Magic Realm knew.

Even knowing Kai wouldn’t lie about this, they couldn’t completely believe it instantly.

What was even harder to believe was that Kai and Harry actually escaped from Voldemort, knowing that Dumbledore was suddenly taken away by a Phoenix after Kai disappeared for a few minutes.

Harry was taken even earlier, before the tournament started.

What happened during this time...

Sirius felt a chill down his spine, stepping forward to help Harry up.

At this point, Professor McGonagall also jogged over.

”Merlin’s beard, what on earth happened.”

Thus, Kai repeated what he had just said.

Professor McGonagall stood there, her mouth trembling, but unlike others, she quickly believed this.

”Oh God, You-Know-Who...” She looked at Kai and Harry, finally resting her gaze on Harry’s leg, ”I’m so glad to see you two alive, I’ll take you both to the Hospital Wing.”

”I’m fine, Professor McGonagall.” Kai shook his head and said, ”You can take Harry first.”

”No!”

Professor McGonagall remained unmoved, insisting on taking both of them to the Hospital Wing.
