Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 564: Chapter 562: Misleading the Young

That scoundrel Voldemort really didn’t tell the truth.

On the last day of the Easter holiday, Kael walked out of his room, cursing a certain misleading scoundrel in his heart.

When Voldemort taught him about Soul Artifacts, he spoke so beautifully, anything Dumbledore forbade, he taught instead... all lies, misleading.

How to say, the general process wasn’t wrong, the issue was in some unobtrusive details in the middle, once operated according to the process he gave, the Soul Fragment split off would instantly evaporate like snow in fire.

Just like Tom Riddle in the diary, Voldemort seemed to enjoy misleading others this way, highlighting his own wisdom.

Luckily, he was cautious and wasn’t fooled.

Kael originally planned to wait until the end of the school year to borrow some books from Sirius. As the ancestral home of the Black family, number 12 Grimmauld Place, it preserved many collections, including quite a few books related to Dark Magic.

Including the one Dumbledore took from the library, ”Advanced Black Magic Unveiled,” which was also in Sirius’ home.

But now, things don’t need to be so troublesome.

Kael took off the Diadem and put it back on Helena’s head.

”My mother said she would leave the Diadem to you, but you must wait until returning to school...” Helena whispered, ”She left a portrait at the school, which can substitute the Diadem to hold her memory.”

”It’s alright, you can catch up more...” Kael shook his head.

This time Kael wasn’t being polite, he was speaking the truth.

The Diadem’s effect is too strong, with his current Occlumency level, unless necessary, he won’t use the thing for now.

”Oh right, my mother also said that only when you get the Pendant Box can she find a way to store Magic Power with it.”

”That might take some more time...” Kael said.

Just then, Nicolas Flamel, who had disappeared for two weeks, also walked out.

”Seems like you had a good chat.”

Judging by his brisk actions, this Nicolas is also ”fake.”

”Nicolas, can I take the Diadem?” Kael asked.

”Is that even a question?” Nicolas said with a smile, ”The Diadem is yours, of course you can take it, but remember what I told you before, Kael, don’t rely on it too much.”

”I will remember,” Kael nodded seriously, ”How’s the Philosopher’s Stone going?”

”Very smoothly,” Nicolas said happily, ”Lady Ravenclaw gave me some advice, with the current situation, it should be about six months before the materials gather.”

”Still that long?” Kael murmured.

”You didn’t think making a Philosopher’s Stone was easy, did you?”

Nicolas couldn’t resist teasing, ”It’s not like baking bread, just put it in the oven for half an hour... When I made the first Philosopher’s Stone, it took nearly three years.”

”No, I didn’t mean that,” Kael explained about the Pendant Box.

”Store Magic Power?” Nicolas seemed surprised, ”That’s amazing, the Pendant Box can be used for that... perhaps that’s its true purpose.

”Alright, if it’s useful to you, I’ll think of something... there’s some Ancient Magic Potion left, maybe Albus can help, if you don’t mind him knowing about the Pendant Box.”

”That’s fine,” Kael said.

Unlike the Diadem, Dumbledore already knew about the Pendant Box, so there’s no issue of whether he minded.

...

When Kael returned to Hogwarts, it was already evening, from afar, Kael saw the train arriving just at Hogsmeade Station.

When Kael opened his suitcase, Helena eagerly floated away.

Kael was about to caution her to be careful and not go close to Dumbledore, but before he could speak, Helena was already gone.

Never mind, since Ravenclaw said she’d leave the Diadem to him, it doesn’t matter if Dumbledore knows, at most he’ll be curious and borrow it for a while.

Kael waited a bit longer until students from the train began appearing at the school entrance, then he went in.

The Auditorium was brightly lit, preparing for the opening feast.

Kael entered and saw at each house’s long table was a giant Easter egg, almost dragon-sized, filled with various candies, exploding bonbons, chocolate toffee, ice mice, cockroach clusters, it felt like Honeydukes had been emptied.

”Kael, this way,” Conna waved, ”How did your matters go?”

”Already settled,” Kael said, ”How was the Easter holiday?”

”If possible, I wish there wasn’t this holiday,” Conna sighed, ”Too much homework, I even went to Hogsmeade to buy ten rolls of parchment.”

Even Conna was complaining about homework, that was enough to indicate a problem.

When the feast began, Kael felt it was too quiet around, he looked around and asked:

”Where’s Mikel and Ryan, I don’t see them.”

”They should still be in the library,” Cedric said, ”I saw them there every day during the holiday.”

”That’s really rare, are they reading?”

”No, probably doing homework,” Cedric shrugged, ”That’s fifth year, Easter holiday’s homework is endless, when I left the library this afternoon, I saw them flipping through ’Powerful Potion,’ probably doing Potion Class homework.”

”Doing Potion Class homework now?” Kael shook his head, ”If it were me, I’d finish Potion homework first, to avoid getting caught by Professor Snape...”

Before finishing his sentence, Kael suddenly thought of something, he froze with Yorkshire pudding suspended in mid-air.

”What’s wrong?” Conna asked puzzled.

”I seem to... haven’t done any homework,” Kael said slowly.

In Nicolas Flamel Manor, he listened to opera, researched Magic Text, then studied Soul Artifacts with Ravenclaw, he had long forgotten about homework.

”Does that matter,” Conna said indifferently, ”Didn’t you say Professor Dumbledore excused your homework before?”

”Only excused most courses, but not Potion Class.” Kael glanced at the direction of the teacher’s seats, ”Anyway, is there a lot of Potion homework?”

”I don’t know,” Conna shook her head, ”I haven’t done Potion Class homework for a long time.”
