Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 576: Chapter 574: Two Death Eaters

Harry’s nerves had been taut until now, and only then did he have time to recall what had just happened.

Actually, he only remembered that he was brought here by Filch... No, it should be a Death Eater who had taken Polyjuice Potion.

Voldemort seemed to call him Barty Crouch, a name identical to Percy’s boss, whom he had seen at the Quidditch World Cup.

That Barty also used his own blood to resurrect Voldemort.

Then, Kael arrived, and the Death Eaters tried to kill him, but Kael repelled them with a Flame Giant Dragon.

Yes, Kael repelled a group of Death Eaters and even counter-killed one on the spot. At that time, he even thought he was still dreaming in his dormitory bed.

But the continuous sharp pain in his leg kept telling him that it was all real.

And then came that sudden fog... after which his memory started to blur.

Mainly because his glasses inexplicably disappeared.

In fact, Harry heard Dumbledore’s voice, but because he couldn’t see clearly, he thought the voice he heard was an illusion.

Now, hearing Kael say this, it seemed true after all, that Dumbledore really came.

”Can you tell me what happened?”

Harry felt his head was in a mess, not understanding why Kael would suddenly appear here, wasn’t he participating in the Triwizard Tournament?

Moreover, since Kael came, it seemed that in just the blink of an eye, he was suddenly safe.

”How should I put it...” Kael glanced at the increasingly frequent charms in the sky and thought for a moment, ”weren’t you taken away by Filch on the pretext of being a hostage in the maze?”

”He’s Barty Crouch?” Harry hurriedly said, ”Not Mr. Crouch from the Ministry of Magic, but another person with the same name.”

”Oh, Barty Crouch Jr... the son of the Crouch you mentioned.”

”What?” Harry asked in surprise, thinking he misheard.

But Kael did not explain this time, instead continuing, ”But the proposal to add hostages was already vetoed before dinner.

”As it happens? Hermione and Ron, worried about you, specifically came to the Champion Room to find you, and that’s how we knew you were taken.

”Also, the Goblet of Fire was switched by Karkaroff with a Portkey, which brought me here when I touched it.”

”What about Professor Dumbledore...”

”I have a special way to summon his Phoenix,” Kael said.

He looked up again.

At this moment, the flickering lights in the sky seemed like light balls, changing faster and faster, occasionally accompanied by clear rumbling sounds.

”Alright, Harry.”

Kael did not let him continue asking. ”Let’s go back first, there will be time for you to ask questions once we’re back at school.”

”What about Professor Dumbledore...”

”You don’t mean to help, do you?” Kael gave him a surprised look, ”to help Dumbledore deal with Voldemort?”

Harry silently closed his mouth.

Even though he couldn’t see Kael’s expression, he realized from Kael’s questioning tone that he’d asked a really stupid question.

”Then how do we get back...” Harry quickly changed the topic, ”Did you bring a broom?”

”I brought one.” Kael nodded, then said, ”But there’s no need for that, grab my arm.”

He stretched out his hand.

Then saw Harry grab at the air in front of him.

”...”

”Alright, that was my oversight.”

Kael extended his arm forward, only then did Harry grab his sleeve.

But just as he was preparing to Disillusionment and leave, Kael suddenly looked towards the bushes.

”Who’s there, come out!” He immediately raised his wand-wielding hand.

Harry also took out his wand from his pocket, pointing in the completely opposite direction of Kael.

”Truly worthy of a Hogwarts Champion.”

A person dressed as a Death Eater stepped out from the bushes.

”You can’t just leave like that,” a muffled voice came from behind the mask, ”otherwise, I can’t explain to the master.”

”That’s simple,” Kael said, slightly twisting his wand.

”Sectumsempra!”

The Death Eater seemed to sense something, immediately dodging aside with a roll and crawl.

The next second, the bushes behind him were neatly sliced in half.

Cold sweat trickled down Lucius’s forehead behind his mask. He initially just wanted a reason to stay away from Dumbledore atop the mountain and didn’t want to be accounted for by Voldemort later, so he found Kael.

He knew Kael could use the Fiendfyre Curse, but in such an open space, its effect wasn’t as terrifying as before.

But unexpectedly... Kael knew more than just the Fiendfyre; that move just now probably wouldn’t be much worse than the Killing Curse if hit directly.

Now, it seemed this fifteen-year-old student wasn’t all that safe either.

Lucius kind of wanted to escape.

He was just here to watch, no need to leave his life here.

But as he hesitated, a row of sharp stone cones suddenly appeared on the ground, piercing through Lucius’s foot without any defense.

”Ah!” he screamed in pain, trying to pull his foot out.

The next second, a wand was pointed at his head.

”Sectum...”

”I surrender!” Lucius shouted loudly, ”I surrender... you can’t kill me, you’re Dumbledore’s student, he would never let you kill me!”

”Hmm... that’s true.” Kael nodded, lowering his wand.

Lucius breathed a sigh of relief, but just as he was pondering how to stay alive, he heard Kael muttering quietly to himself.

”If... let’s say a lost 5X Fantastic Beast passed by here, like an Eight-eyed Giant Spider, and you happened to be unable to move, would it be more reasonable if you ended up being poisoned by it?”

Lucius’s heart sank again.

Though he was sure there were no Eight-eyed Giant Spiders here, he could sense that the other party wasn’t just saying it.

No Eight-eyed Giant Spiders, but their venom wasn’t certain, this stuff could be carried, and he had plenty at home.

”This is a place where Muggles live, there are no Fantastic Beasts!” he quickly shouted, ”If you do this, you’ll definitely be found out, the Ministry of Magic can trace it...”

”Avada...” a faint voice came from nearby.

Kael’s pupils contracted sharply, quickly pulling Harry back.

The next second, a green light flashed past him.

Reflexively, Kael threw a Sectumsempra in the direction the Killing Curse came from.

But the curse only cut down a yew tree; there seemed to be no one there.

Yet that was impossible; if there were no one, where did the Killing Curse come from?

Without hesitation, a dirt wall rose from the ground to shield Kael’s side, while he grabbed Harry.

The suddenly appeared Death Eater didn’t matter; alive or dead, Kael didn’t care. What mattered now was the hidden threat.

Starting with a Killing Curse, and before this, Kael didn’t even know there was another person there.

Was it aimed at Harry? Or himself...

But regardless of who it was, this place wasn’t safe to stay any longer.

”Hold on to me,” Kael shouted.

Harry instinctively grabbed Kael’s arm.

”Bang!”

With a crisp explosion, the two disappeared from the spot instantly.
