Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 563: Chapter 561: Other Uses of Soul Artifacts

The Slytherin Pendant Box?

What a coincidence... He actually has that thing, and it’s right here, it’s just that it’s still a Soul Artifact, so it’s temporarily unusable.

”You found it?” Ravenclaw’s tone carried a slight hint of surprise.

”In fact, I also found Hufflepuff’s Golden Cup,” Kael said, somewhat embarrassed. ”And Gryffindor’s Sword, in the Hogwarts Headmaster’s Office, I can borrow it if needed.”

”There’s no need, just having the Pendant Box is enough,” Ravenclaw replied.

To be honest, she truly hadn’t expected that the items most representative of the four of them would actually appear in one person’s possession simultaneously.

Kael, and that person who crafted the Soul Artifacts.

Even though his actions were infuriating, one had to admit, he was indeed quite capable.

”Lady Ravenclaw... I have another question.” Kael pondered for a moment, then continued to ask, ”After the Vanishing Spell succeeds, the Pendant Box will definitely fall off, right? Doesn’t that mean I can never transform back?

As previously mentioned, to cast a Vanishing Spell on oneself, one must transfer the magic power within their body, and without magic power, one certainly cannot cast the Counter Spell, right?”

”This is not something you need to worry about.”

Ravenclaw said in a calm tone, and softly recited the incantation for the Vanishing Spell.

Even though it was the same spell, Kael noticed there was something different about it.

Soon after, a strange image appeared before his eyes. The spell seemed to be broken down into individual Magic Text Formulas.

These Magic Texts connected with each other, forming an even larger Talisman.

”Although some parts are slightly different, it essentially remains a standard Transfiguration Spell.”

Ravenclaw continued, ”I’ve seen Salazar’s Pendant Box, and the magic within won’t affect the Transfiguration Spell. As long as you carry it with you, you can treat it like clothing or similar items, and complete the transformation together.

”The only thing you need to pay attention to is ensuring you can proficiently use the Quietening Charm and Wandless Spellcasting, because after transformation, you will be unable to use a wand or make sounds.

”I assume these shouldn’t be too difficult for you.”

Kael pondered and said, ”The Quietening Charm is no problem. As for Wandless Spellcasting, I might not be skilled, but I can manage.”

”Not skilled?” Ravenclaw’s voice contained a slight tremor.

It seemed, in her view, it was unbelievable for someone Kael’s age not to be proficient in using the Quietening Charm and Wandless Spellcasting.

”In fact, we only start learning the Quietening Charm in the sixth year,” Kael explained, ”As for Wandless Spellcasting, there are no requirements. Even the most stringent Ultimate Wizard exams don’t include it.”

Ravenclaw was silent for a moment before softly saying, ”It seems you don’t need to face dangers that could arise at any moment, and that’s good...”

”Lady Ravenclaw... Was the magic realm a thousand years ago very dangerous?” Kael inquired with curiosity.

”This is a difficult question for me to answer,” Ravenclaw said, ”What I saw was vastly different from what ordinary wizards experienced... but definitely not as safe as now.”

Kael nodded slightly.

A thousand years ago... based on available library records, wizards of that era indeed had a tough time.

At this moment, Kael suddenly thought of something and spoke again.

”Lady Ravenclaw, can I ask another question?”

No sound came from his mind, Ravenclaw neither agreed nor refused, but Kael had a feeling she was staring at him from the front.

”I just have a thought,” Kael said, ”But I’m not sure if it’s workable, so I wanted to confirm.”

”Let’s hear it then,” Ravenclaw finally responded.

”Yes, about the Soul Artifacts...” Kael said cautiously.

”Do you also desire eternal life?” Ravenclaw’s voice revealed a fleeting trace of disappointment, ”If so, I suggest using the Philosopher’s Stone, as a complete soul means a lot to a wizard.

If you’ve read enough, you’ll find that, after creating the first Soul Artifact, despicable Herpo vanished without a trace.

He regretted it and did many things to try to unite his fragmented soul.”

”No, that’s not what I mean.” Kael shook his head. ”I meant, if someone becomes insane due to a torn soul, can a Soul Artifact help restore their sanity?”

”A torn soul?”

”It’s the Crucio Curse, an extremely evil curse that affects the soul,” Kael explained, ”I have a friend whose parents had their souls torn into pieces due to the torment of the Crucio Curse.

”The healers at St Mungo’s Hospital said these soul fragments affect each other, causing them to be muddled and unable to communicate normally with others.

”So, I had this idea—if the soul fragments were separated with a Soul Artifact, would they be cured.”

Ravenclaw fell silent again, only speaking after a long pause, ”I suppose despicable Herpo would never have imagined that his invented spell would one day be used to save people.”

”So this method is feasible, right?” Kael asked excitedly.

”No, it’s not possible.” Ravenclaw poured cold water over his excitement.

”To complete a Soul Artifact, one needs to expel the soul fragment from the body using intense malice. How could someone, who can’t even communicate normally, generate enough malice to push their soul out?”

”So, knowing this, what will you do next, or what are your thoughts?” Ravenclaw’s tone shifted, asking curiously, much like a professor posing questions to a student.

”Um... can the body itself be used as a Soul Artifact?” Kael furrowed his brow and pondered aloud,

”If we can’t expel the soul, then find nearby... hair, eyebrows, a bone, these could all become Soul Artifacts.”

”That’s a good idea, and entirely correct,” Ravenclaw said, ”The only issue is that if a soul fragment can’t leave the body, the Soul Artifact cannot grant immortality.”

”That doesn’t matter,” Kael waved his hand, ”As long as it can restore clarity, that’s enough. If it indeed granted immortality, it would bring significant trouble... besides, they themselves probably wouldn’t want it.”

”Not bad, but have you considered a simpler method... treating the soul fragments themselves as Soul Artifacts.”

”Is that possible?” Kael asked, astonished.

”You just need to make slight changes in the process,” Ravenclaw said, ”I can teach you.”
