Chapter 150: Chapter 150: Establishing a Settlement

Huang Biao was silent for a moment, then cracked a smile and said, ”It feels very difficult, even almost impossible, but what do you think we should do?”

Su Changxing nodded and said, ”Indeed, it’s nearly impossible. The Extraordinary seem like something from another civilization. The time is too short; let alone a month, even several years or decades might not be enough for us to figure it out.”

The ”we” here refers not just to the two of them, but to all humanity in this world.

He continued, ”However, we can try. We don’t necessarily need to understand it completely, but drawing some conclusions would be good. The specific method is to organize more people to collide more intensely with the zombies.”

Huang Biao was somewhat puzzled and asked, ”Why?”

Su Changxing glanced at him, thought for a moment, and said:

”According to my analysis, the Extraordinary are likely to emerge under extreme pressure. Most people passively react to pressure, which falls short. We need to proactively create pressure, and in this process, Extraordinary might be born.”

He could use ”True Knowledge” to roughly distinguish each person’s situation and identify signs of path development, like Zhou An.

Huang Biao pondered, catching up with Su Changxing’s logic, and said, ”So, not only can we not reduce personnel now, we actually need to increase, gathering more people.”

Su Changxing tapped the table with his index finger, softly saying:

”Yes, more people. We can announce on the forum that we will establish a gathering place nearby to attract more people to come.”

In his eyes, every person could be an experimental subject, a guinea pig. The more people, the more experimental subjects.

Huang Biao appeared somewhat serious but decisively said, ”Alright, although more people means more trouble, there are also advantages. At least, there is strength in numbers. But we still need to call Old Qin over to discuss. He has experience in this area.”

Soon, Huang Biao gathered a group of veteran residents to explain the situation and discuss specific implementation methods.

At two o’clock, Huang Biao posted an announcement on the forum about establishing the gathering place, marking the location of the base on a map.

Heartless Beast: We’ve decided to establish a gathering place, recruiting nearby people. We have ample food and water and need more combat-capable, fearless people to fight the apocalypse, zombies, Hunters, and various difficulties.

Facing disaster, what we need is not to escape, but to confront it. Our intention is to hope more people survive the apocalypse.

······

The post immediately caused a huge stir on the forum, and many people knew Huang Biao was a leader of a base, now with thoughts of establishing a gathering place.

Though many have proposed such ideas, no one implemented them, mainly because there’s only thirty days, a very short time. Possibly, a dozen people might get through it with luck.

Even the Security Bureau hasn’t spoken out because they think survival rates might be higher when separated; gathering together would lead to more resource scarcity.

Bai nasong: I seem to be near here, but I have sufficient food, so surviving thirty days isn’t difficult. I thus don’t plan to join.

Nightmare Moment: Damn, there’s such a thing? I’m just nearby too, somewhat thinking of joining. Could any brothers who have already joined explain the situation?

Latte Coffee: This can’t be a scam, right? Wasn’t there something before where people were tricked into going over, robbed of supplies and then killed?

······

Su Changxing looked at the map drawn by Zhu Wenwu and said:

”This neighborhood isn’t that big. First, we’ll clear the zombies in the neighborhood, then block several exits. It can be a gathering place accommodating many people.”

Huang Biao nodded, looking around at the people, saying:

”We’ll split into two teams later, Brother Su will lead one, and I’ll lead the other, thoroughly clearing the zombies in the neighborhood, then clearing zombies in each building while collecting supplies.”

There are now close to seventy or eighty people in the base, double the number from the previous day, and more than half have considerable combat capabilities.

Zhu Wenwu, holding a shiny hand axe, seemed excited and said:

”Brother Su, doing this should allow more people to survive, right?”

Obviously, he very endorsed the idea of establishing the gathering place and felt that after gathering more people, their chances of survival might improve.

Su Changxing raised an eyebrow, feeling Zhu Wenwu’s significant change these days, and said:

”Maybe so. Did you get Attribute Enhancement yesterday?”

Zhu Wenwu nodded and said, ”Yes, Speed Enhancement. I feel I’m at least half as strong as before now.”

He then continued, ”There are still quite a few zombies in the neighborhood. Trying to complete the clearing today might be a bit of a stretch.”

Su Changxing glanced at the twenty or so people behind him, thought for a moment, and said:

”We can do it. This is different from what you were doing before. The aim is to kill zombies, which will be much more efficient.”

Previously, they went out in small teams to scavenge supplies, often choosing to avoid zombies, not only saving energy but also being quite efficient.

Zhou An, accompanying on the side, was somewhat conflicted and said, ”Aren’t there Zombie Monkeys in that forest? Are we really going?”

Su Changxing looked toward the forest not far away and confirmed, ”Yes, we’ll clear the outer areas first, and your ability should be quite useful against such monkeys.”

This forest seems to harbor Zombie Monkeys, but Huang Biao and the others have been here for two days without any trouble, so the number of Zombie Monkeys shouldn’t be many.

Su Changxing and his team cleared the zombies north of the base while Huang Biao’s team cleared the south, with Huang Biao leading more people, totaling over thirty.

Facing zombies, Su Changxing basically took them out one by one, like chopping vegetables, equivalent to the efficiency of more than ten people clearing zombies.

Many were stunned, knowing Su Changxing was formidable, but hadn’t expected him to be this fierce.

Zhu Wenwu was also full of amazement, clearly noticing that Su Changxing had become much stronger than before, whether in knife speed or the feeling of hitting zombies.

He estimated that in such a state, Su Changxing must have been enhanced at least seven or eight times or more, completely beyond human limits, making world champions seem weak in comparison.

Soon, someone was injured by a zombie. Although these zombies lack brains, their strength and speed are decent, and the key is that they’re fearless.

However, they had many people, often tackling a single zombie with several individuals, so there wasn’t much danger.

In just an hour, Su Changxing’s team slaughtered nearly two hundred zombies, leaving the ground covered in zombie corpses and black blood.

A noticeably large area was cleared around them.

As more zombies perished, the surrounding zombies seemed to become restless, roaring louder, and many rushed toward them from afar.
