Chapter 137: Chapter 137: God’s Perspective

[Pistol Enthusiast: More proficiently controlling pistols, shooting speed increased by 10%, accuracy correction by 10%, bullet flight speed increased by 10%, damage increased by 10%, armor-piercing by 10%

Redemption Condition: 20000 Points]

This is obviously a specialization upgrade path, which can also enhance Su Changxing’s combat capabilities, even significantly.

Moreover, he suspects that by choosing this upgrade path, his Tier Eight can select a firearms-related position, presumably one of the purposes of the upgrade.

However, there’s an issue—his bullet supply is limited, and once depleted, this upgrade path won’t be as useful.

[Archery Enthusiast: More proficiently controlling bows and arrows, shooting speed increased by 20%, arrow flight speed increased by 20%, damage increased by 10%

Redemption Condition: 13000 Points]

This is a similar upgrade path to the ”Pistol Enthusiast,” but purely in terms of combat ability enhancement, it surely can’t match the ”Pistol Enthusiast,” as pistols inherently outperform bows and arrows.

However, this upgrade path can enhance his assassination capability with bows and arrows, which has both advantages and disadvantages.

······

Without thinking too long, Su Changxing decided to choose ”Sober Dreamer,” having a premonition that this should be the most valuable upgrade path.

It is also the most expensive upgrade path.

This upgrade path can remedy the shortcomings of the Dreamer and enable him to fully unleash the Dreamer’s true combat strength.

Sometimes, shortcomings are the most lethal, and fixing oneself is the most stable course of action.

He is a rational person, despising states beyond his own control, disliking inexplicable accidents.

Upon deciding, he decisively spent 20,000 points to select the ”Sober Dreamer.”

[Total Points: 14121]

In an instant, with a lightening of the backpack behind him, Su Changxing felt his mind sink, eyes glimmering with faint light, illuminated darkness, the world before him becoming clearer, and his night vision improving once more.

He felt a significant change within himself, a change in the degree of control, over himself and over his position.

This change was continuous, steady, and uninterrupted, lasting for half an hour, during which the Mysteriousness of the position continually increased.

Name: Su Changxing

Power: 5.4+1 (Extraordinary)

Speed: 5.6+1 (Extraordinary)

Physique: 4.8+1 (Far stronger than average humans)

Perception: 1+1 (Beast-like perception)

Spirit: 5+2 (Extraordinary)

Position: Tier Nine, Sober Dreamer (Extreme Rank) Compatibility 85%

Status: Healthy.

Evaluation: One upgrade, one transformation. Being able to perform an upgrade in such a short time is unprecedented. The upgrade path unexpectedly aligns with the position, successfully advancing the position to Extreme Rank.

[Sober Dreamer: 570/1000]

The Mysteriousness of the position increased by 200, with the upper limit also raised to 1000, and the position’s attribute bonuses reaching corresponding values.

Leaning against the wall, amidst these changes, Su Changxing unknowingly fell asleep.

In a blink, it darkened; blink again, it brightened. In a higher vision state, he looked around, seeing Xu Chu’s Sweat lying on the ground asleep, seeing Sun Xiaolin whispering, seeing himself sleeping against the wall.

Huh?

What’s going on?

This perspective seemed like a 360-degree camera mounted above his body, like... a God’s Perspective.

Su Changxing knew this change was likely caused by the upgrade, yet he was very surprised by it. He had thought it would merely maintain wakefulness during sleepwalking, but this is the outcome instead.

And it seems he can exit this state at any time, entering a truly deep sleep state.

Yet he still cannot exit the sleep state.

Hmm...

Su Changxing was a bit dumbfounded, he seemed to be able to quietly watch himself sleep, this state’s quite odd, being asleep yet not asleep.

The disadvantage of Dreamers not being able to exit the sleep state at will remains, except now he can maintain consciousness, having a God’s Perspective.

But what’s the use of this?

Dying is still an inevitability, the difference is, one dies unaware, and the other watches oneself die.

No, there should be a greater difference, ascension to Extreme Rank shouldn’t be so simple.

As time passed, Su Changxing gradually realized he seems to be able to issue commands to himself, yes, not controlling his body but issuing commands to his body.

Stand up.

The sleeping Su Changxing stood up instantly with eyes closed, his movement agile unfitting of a sleeping individual.

Raise hand.

Su Changxing, eyes closed, raised his left hand.

Zhang Daxi thought Su Changxing was asleep, but he didn’t expect him to suddenly stand, yet still with closed eyes.

Everyone indoors stared dumbfoundedly at Su Changxing’s bizarre behavior, unsure what he was intending to do.

Then, Su Changxing sat back down, returned to his original pose, breathing steadily, as if asleep.

Sun Xiaolin uncertainly commented: ”Is this sleepwalking? Usually, only in deep sleep do people with somnambulism exhibit sleepwalking symptoms, Brother Su’s sleep sure is deep.”

Huang Jixiang enviously said: ”I want to sleep too, but alas can’t fall asleep.”

Zhang Daxi stood dazed; the movement was excessively nimble, unlike sleepwalking, yet he said nothing more, as his knowledge on these matters was limited.

This feeling was akin to gaming, controlling an in-game character, Su Changxing could issue broad commands but not perform detailed actions himself.

Doomsday Game, it’s truly become a game now... Su Changxing couldn’t help but quip.

In this state, he couldn’t communicate with the head nor control his body to speak, but could clearly see and hear the surroundings.

Though it wasn’t as anticipated, he was satisfied. At least he could control his body to flee when encountering danger during sleep.

Rather than charging head-on, oblivious to whether he can win.

”Tap tap~”

While Su Changxing fiddled with this state, noise suddenly came from the corridor outside the door, emanating from the stairs, the sound of boots striking wooden steps.

The footsteps were uneven.

The person’s condition seemed a bit unsteady, walking shakily.

Su Changxing guessed it’s Captain Qin of the third team, although he had a God’s Perspective, he couldn’t see through walls to the situation outside the door.

”Captain, are you alright!”

Chen Ling’s voice came from outside the door.

”Not much of an issue.”

Subsequently, a square-faced, short-haired, gasping, soot-handed man walked straight into the room accompanied by Chen Ling.

Upon closer inspection, thin line-like wounds mark his arm, deep yet bloodless.
