Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Dream Guide

”Damn, is he really this reckless?”

Zhou An covered his face, having never expected Ma Xuekai to swallow that strange object directly.

”Bang~”

Ma Xuekai’s head hit the ground, completely motionless, and the few people around looked at each other in dismay.

A bald man with a beard said in shock, ”Is he always this brave?”

Zhou An said silently, ”We don’t seem to know anyone who knew him before.”

A young woman closed her eyes and said, ”Maybe he just couldn’t survive and originally wanted to kill himself.”

”Doesn’t quite seem like it, people who want to commit suicide would’ve died a long time ago, wouldn’t have waited till now······feels like he’s about to die.”

Zhou An reached out and turned him over, noticing his pale complexion, weak breathing, cold hands and feet, looking like he was about to die.

”The physique is still a bit weak, running out of stamina towards the end, good thing there weren’t too many zombies, barely manageable.”

Su Changxing walked down the stairs, conversing with the head in his mind.

The head said, ”This is also considered a drawback of attribute enhancement, unbalanced enhancement can place certain burdens on the body. But the doomsday game mechanism in your world is really strange.”

Su Changxing curiously asked, ”Oh, what was it like for you back then?”

The head replied slightly arrogantly, ”For us, as long as we killed enough people, we could exchange as we wished.”

”······”

Su Changxing paused and said, ”That really is brutal, but kind of exhilarating.”

The eyes of the head in the backpack glowed with a faint red light, ”Indeed, the strong get stronger, and in the end, the winner takes all.”

Su Changxing smiled and asked, ”Were you a winner then?”

The head calmly replied, ”No, there were no winners.”

Su Changxing asked, ”Why?”

”·····”

The head paused for a while and said, ”Forgot.”

Su Changxing had more thoughts, realizing that their before and after differences were largely two possibilities.

Either there were many ”Doomsday Games,” with the two worlds belonging to different Doomsday Games; or the Doomsday Game was constantly changing, like an experiment, and since previous experiments didn’t meet expectations, they changed the experiment method to achieve better results.

Su Changxing slashed off a zombie lingering in the stairwell, walking out onto the street, zombies all around few and far between, somewhat empty, and a bit silent. Looking to the side, he saw a zombie devouring the corpse of a deceased Hunter.

He walked over, and as if the zombie didn’t see him, it continued feasting on the corpse on the ground. A quick stab into its head, killing it.

”I guess this counts as a foodie among zombies.”

Su Changxing quipped at the sight of this zombie with a mouthful of flesh.

He picked up the Extraordinary Crystal from the Hunter’s body, a red crystal similar to the Chopper’s crystal above.

The red crystal seemed to lean towards close combat and physical aspects······

Counting these five, he now had fourteen Extraordinary Crystals on him, four short of his advancement.

At twenty, he could go through the Discount Shop for a position advancement.

Position advancement isn’t an upgrade from Tier Nine to Tier Eight, but rather an advancement of the Tier Nine position itself, adding new abilities and characteristics.

Moreover, according to the head, advancing to Tier Eight doesn’t render the Tier Nine position useless; instead, the Tier Nine position gets strengthened, and its abilities and talents enhanced to Tier Eight’s level.

The head murmured in Su Changxing’s mind, ”Tier Nine positions are the easiest to advance, and they can be advanced several times. Once you reach Tier Seven, advancement becomes extremely difficult.”

Su Changxing roughly understood the significance of advancement, essentially increasing abilities, adding more means on the basis of the original position.

For instance, if he advanced based on the Split Head Talent, reaching Tier Eight, the talent’s damage boost would increase from 25% to 35%, or even higher.

Su Changxing pondered, ”So even the same-tier Extraordinaries could have vast differences towards the end. Someone who hasn’t advanced, compared to someone who advanced four or five times, really can’t compete.”

The head added, ”That’s right, I’ve once seen someone who advanced ten times, taking out a Tier Seven with Tier Eight.”

”That really is something else, how did they advance so many times?”

Su Changxing exclaimed, knowing that advancement required materials, potions, or other things, and the more times advanced, the rarer the materials needed.

He had the Discount Shop to facilitate the first advancement easily, estimating the materials for the second advancement wouldn’t be easy to find. The primary material for the first advancement was the Giant Hand’s organization, where could he find so many Giant Hand organizations.

The head said in a deep voice, ”I don’t know either, he’s not from our world.”

Su Changxing recalled the scene upstairs, noticing the glow emanating from Ma Xuekai’s pocket, the glow of an Extraordinary Crystal visible only to Extraordinaries.

There was an Extraordinary Crystal hidden in Ma Xuekai’s pocket, who knows where he got it from.

But what good is it for him?

Su Changxing suddenly asked, ”What would happen if an ordinary person ate an Extraordinary Crystal? Is there a chance of becoming Extraordinary?”

The head replied affirmatively, ”It would basically be a dead end, like trying to force a bucket of water into a cup, it would break.”

This aligned with Su Changxing’s thought, an Extraordinary Crystal shouldn’t be something ordinary people can directly absorb, even Extraordinaries can’t randomly absorb it.

Su Changxing moved quickly through the alley, silently perceiving the surroundings, handling the few zombies he encountered along the way.

Unless encountering a large number of zombies blocking the way, he would clear them out, as no one wants something trailing behind, plus climbing over these zombies is tedious.

These zombies had very strong mobility, leaping along the walls, capable of jumping three to four meters high, nothing like the limp zombies from movies.

Ten minutes later, Su Changxing arrived near a Mysterious Shop again, seeing a dozen zombie corpses, knowing this Mysterious Shop was likely already visited.

He went in to check, finding indeed everything had been exchanged, but surprisingly found a position matching him inside.

[Dream Guide, Tier Eight, Middle Rank] Not fully fused position, can’t be exchanged

Exchange condition: 30,000 points, twenty Extraordinary Crystals.

Dream Guide?

”That’s really not cheap, but this is only a middle-rank position? And it still requires Extraordinary Crystals.”

Su Changxing muttered, then left the Mysterious Shop, marking the shop’s location in his mind.

If he couldn’t find another suitable position, he could only exchange for this one.

Just leaving the Mysterious Shop, Su Changxing instinctively glanced up the building across the street, seemingly seeing a figure in the window across from him.

”Was that the person who just visited the Mysterious Shop?”

Su Changxing didn’t think much, turning to run to the next Mysterious Shop, fully aware that it was normal to have someone see him, there must be quite a few people in the nearby buildings.
