Chapter 56: Chapter 56: An Acquaintance

Walking in, the small room has two rows of gun cabinets on each side, with more than a dozen guns displayed, including pistols, rifles, and shotguns.

Su Changxing picked up another Glock 17 from the gun cabinet and found there were no bullets inside, then found 9mm bullets and loaded them one by one.

Although he hadn’t handled guns before, because of being a Master of Archery, he had a certain grasp of firearms and knew how to load and shoot.

Pull the trigger.

”Click~”

The bullet got stuck inside again.

Su Changxing said to Huang Biao standing at the door: ”This gun can’t be used either. I think it might be the bullet’s problem.”

Huang Biao looked inside with surprise and said: ”There’s no light at all in there, yet you can see?”

Su Changxing raised his eyebrows, realizing his night vision ability, and hadn’t noticed it before, replied seriously: ”Yeah, I’ve always had good eyesight since I was a kid.”

Huang Biao wondered: ”Is this something you can achieve with good eyesight?”

He couldn’t even tell Su Changxing’s exact position in the room, just seeing darkness all around.

”Yes.” Su Changxing affirmed, then handed the pistol to him: ”See if it’s a problem with the bullet.”

Su Changxing tried other guns and found none of them worked either, saying solemnly:

”It should be the bullet’s problem, seems like an issue with the gunpowder. The gunpowder has completely failed, can’t ignite, as if its chemical properties have changed.”

Huang Biao thought for a while and said: ”Even if the bullets are expired, they should still work, this is too strange. Anyway, it’s not too bad, no one has a gun.”

When leaving, Huang Biao slung a rifle over his back, stuffed two pistols into his pockets, and said with a grin:

”Although these guns can’t be used, they aren’t completely useless; having these things in hand is a deterrent. No one will resist if you carry a rifle to loot.”

Su Changxing looked at Huang Biao with a smile: ”Makes sense, old bandit, I’ll take a pistol too.”

Then, he also picked a relatively well-preserved Glock 17 and put it in his backpack.

They arrived at the police station entrance again. Huang Biao took out his phone ready to have people move the station’s supplies, but suddenly froze, looking at Su Changxing in surprise:

”Su Changxing, you’re an Extraordinary now, already on the Extraordinary path?”

Su Changxing asked puzzled: ”What Extraordinary? What are you talking about?”

Huang Biao pointed to his phone and said:

”It’s on the announcement. Aren’t you the Lucky Child? Damn, brother, you’re truly awesome, no wonder you can take down that monster.”

Su Changxing sighed and said helplessly: ”Didn’t I say? I’m not the Lucky Child.”

Huang Biao thought Su Changxing might not want to reveal himself, patted his chest and said: ”Brother, I won’t tell anyone else, I’ll keep this secret for you.”

Su Changxing’s expression grew more helpless, as if he was truly misunderstood, saying: ”How about this, what’s your forum ID, I’ll add you as a friend.”

Huang Biao paused, feeling Su Changxing’s stance didn’t seem fake: ”Go ahead, Heartless Beast.”

He looked at his phone and found someone named Please call me a good person had really added him.

”You’re really not the Lucky Child.”

Huang Biao was full of surprise, he had already firmly believed Su Changxing was the Lucky Child based on various details and an intuition.

A flash of shrewdness crossed his eyes, he pondered for a while before slowly saying: ”Alright, you’re indeed not... let’s go, check out my place.”

”Okay.”

Su Changxing nodded, not refusing, just right to observe the situation of such small groups.

Huang Biao led Su Changxing walking along the street, nearby zombies had been cleared, there weren’t many, avoiding them during the day, it’s easy to pass.

After walking for about ten minutes, Huang Biao pointed to a medium-sized apartment not far away and said:

”That’s the place. Our base is on the fourth and fifth floors. Though a bit troublesome, it prevents frequent zombie disturbances at night.”

Su Changxing looked around and said: ”This location is good, convenient for scavenging supplies, the view is okay, but isn’t it too conspicuous?”

From a distance he noticed shadows moving upstairs.

Huang Biao was confident: ”We’re short on people, it’s also to attract others, and there shouldn’t be other groups nearby.”

He led Su Changxing up the stairway: ”There aren’t many people at the base now, most are outside scavenging.”

The stairway was cleaned, though not spotless, no trash was left. Following Huang Biao up to the fourth floor, a young man sat holding an iron rod at the door.

He glanced at Su Changxing covered in blood, his body shivered, obviously shocked, then looked at Huang Biao and asked: ”Boss Huang, who is he?”

Huang Biao glanced at Su Changxing’s appearance, laughed and said: ”He’s my invited guest, Su Changxing.”

Su Changxing looked indifferently at him, dried blood crumbs formed clumps on his face, unconsciously exuding killing intent from his brows.

The young man’s expression froze, unsure where the boss found such a fierce man, chuckled awkwardly: ”Hello, Brother Su.”

Su Changxing nodded slightly, replied faintly: ”Hello.”

He’s certain maintaining a fierce image before others is necessary, to reduce a lot of trouble.

Upon entering the fourth floor, Huang Biao went to check the injured ones, while Su Changxing reclined in the hall chair to rest.

Before long, he unexpectedly saw a ”familiar person” approaching, Zhu Wenwu, the one who previously posted saying he was a murder maniac.

Zhu Wenwu felt today was a fortunate day, not only not encountering murder maniacs, but also found a group willing to take him and his sister in.

Everything seemed to be moving in a positive direction.

Until, he heard a newcomer arrived, preparing to say hello, network for relationships, after all in unfamiliar places, getting along with others is always right.

Zhu Wenwu saw the man sitting on a chair, walked over, looked at the man with a steel saber, covered in blood, and froze.

Recognizing at once, isn’t this the murderer?

Su Changxing looked at Zhu Wenwu, thinking it’s always good to see familiar people, involuntarily showing a kind smile, greeted: ”What a coincidence, didn’t expect to meet here.”

Zhu Wenwu almost cried, he clearly moved in the opposite direction, how did he still bump into this murder maniac.

He smiled awkwardly: ”Brother, long time no see.”

Su Changxing thought for a moment and said: ”We met just yesterday, right.”

”Indeed.” Zhu Wenwu thought his sister still here, could not run, braced himself and asked: ”Don’t know, Brother has business here?”
