Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

”Incredible. It actually worked...” Su Zhi was stunned as he watched the Yellow Earth Wall begin to glow, forming a Radiant Gold Pattern on the ground.

’Yu Bao is awesome! Is this the legendary power of ”I reckoned it would work”??’

A mix of joy and worry bloomed in his heart.

Classical Restrictions had a history of nearly a thousand years. In essence, they were a type of Space Element Skill, and they often sealed away something incredibly important... or incredibly dangerous.

It could be a treasure, some personal belongings, or even a hidden Secret Realm... Or it could be a Fierce Beast.

During the exploration phase, Su Zhi hadn’t thought that far ahead. But now that the Restriction was showing signs of opening, he was starting to get cold feet.

He even thought, ’Maybe I should just forget it? Let’s leave the rest to the professionals...’

As he was lost in thought, Luo Sen’s voice came from his phone. ”If my speculation is correct, this is a compound Restriction. Have Yu Bao try again, following his initial idea.”

”I think you can just say it directly, without the ’if my speculation is correct’ preamble...” Su Zhi then asked curiously, ”Try again with the initial idea?”

”Yes.”

In his office, Luo Sen watched the big screen. ”In principle, all Classical Restrictions work similarly, but they can be simple or complex. Your initial approach corresponded to a simple Restriction Array, which only requires precise Energy Control to open.”

”However, a more complex, compound Restriction adds an ’Array Hub’ to that foundation—which are the broken walls you saw earlier. I believe the creator of the Restriction intentionally marked them.”

Su Zhi: ”So Yu Bao using the Yellow Earth Wall to replace the broken walls was equivalent to activating the Array Hub?”

”That’s right.”

Luo Sen said thoughtfully, ”Generally speaking, activating an Array Hub also requires specific conditions, like a password. Usually, only the creator of the Restriction knows it, so it’s a very secure system.”

”Besides adding another layer of security, the main function of an Array Hub is to place limitations on the people or Exotic Beasts who enter the Restriction. Most Array Hubs can suppress Energy of a specific Attribute, or even prevent a Pet Beast from using certain Skills within the Restriction’s field. This stops them from bypassing the Array Hub and activating the Array directly.”

”Wait...”

Su Zhi’s eyes widened. ”So, the reason Yu Bao theoretically has the Gold Attribute but couldn’t use any Earth-Gold Element Dual Skills other than Yellow Earth Wall... could that be related to the Array Hub not being activated yet?”

”There’s no direct evidence to support that hypothesis.”

Luo Sen said rigorously, ”However, my intuition tells me that’s most likely the case. Beyond that, I have no idea why the Yellow Earth Wall was the exact thing needed to activate the Array Hub... It’s almost as if this Restriction was tailor-made for Yu Bao. Even his line of thinking matched up perfectly.”

”Woof!” Hearing the conversation between Su Zhi and Luo Sen, Yu Bao lifted his chin with a smug air.

’As expected of me! I have the bearing of a Great Emperor!’

Shan Bao’s eyes sparkled, while Wu Bao looked on with disdain.

Amidst his showboating, Yu Bao didn’t forget to test Su Zhi and Luo Sen’s theory.

Sure enough, the two types of Energy inside his body were now incredibly clear. The hazy feeling from before had completely changed, as if a final, thin membrane had finally been broken.

Yu Bao once again felt that familiar sensation from when he used his Skills last night—

It was completely innate, as natural as breathing.

As he skillfully mobilized the two Attributes within his body, particles of metal and sand spiraled up from the ground, floating into the air and faintly glinting under the Fierce Sun.

With the Array Hub activated, the sealed Gold Element Energy within Yu Bao’s body seemed to have been officially awakened as well.

The Sandstorm Iron Shattering Array was born again!

”Woof!”

Amidst his excitement, Yu Bao didn’t forget the task at hand. The sand and iron slowly descended, adjusting their positions in mid-air to spread evenly over the Radiant Gold Pattern on the ground.

”That’s... incredible...” Shen Chuqing’s eyes widened, her jaw hanging open.

Although a Sandstorm is fundamentally composed of individual grains of sand, it’s an offensive Skill. Controlling it down to each specific grain is almost impossible.

Not to mention this was a Dual Attribute Sandstorm infused with metal particles, which was on a completely different level from a traditional Sandstorm...

Forget controlling every single grain of dust; even roughly controlling its shape was incredibly difficult.

And yet, Yu Bao had done it.

If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she would never have believed an Earth Element Pet Beast could possess such a fine degree of Energy Control.

”Arf?” Yu Bao tilted his head in confusion.

’The Restriction doesn’t seem to be reacting?’

”No... it did react. The moment Yu Bao used the Skill, the Celestial Eye detected a fleeting stream of Gold Element Energy. It only appeared for an instant, as if it was blocked by something.”

Luo Sen’s speaking pace was fast, and this time he didn’t add any words like ”speculate.”

”The Restriction has designated the Earth Element as one of its repelled Attributes! Have Yu Bao try using only the Gold Element!”

Su Zhi looked up into the air. ”Yu Bao?”

”Woof!” Yu Bao indicated that he was trying.

To be honest, Yu Bao felt like cursing. ’Why is opening a single Restriction such a hassle...?’

He was an Earth Element Pet Beast to begin with. Awakening the Gold Element was some kind of accident, and being able to use Earth-Gold Element Dual Skills was already a huge effort.

Now they were telling him that even Earth and Gold Dual Element wouldn’t work, and he had to use only the Gold Element.

’If I ever find out who designed this crappy Restriction, I’ll definitely use Burning Sand Blade to show them what’s what!’

The problem now was that the Earth and Gold particles were already mixed together evenly. Separating them would be difficult... ’Huh? Wait a second.’
