Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

’How strange. What’s going on here?’

’Don’t tell me this giant resource patch is also a Skill released by some Pet Beast... Just how big would that Pet Beast have to be...’

’And if that guess is correct, wouldn’t that Pet Beast be... me?’

’Maybe I’m overthinking it? Is this sense of familiarity just because I’m also inside the energy field of the Golden Sand Flower?’

To test his theory, Yu Bao sat back down on the Golden Sand Flower and circulated the Energy in his body, simultaneously sensing and absorbing the Golden Sand Flower’s Energy.

Then he discovered... the way the Golden Sand Flower’s Energy flowed wasn’t just highly similar to his own—it was completely identical.

Yu Bao’s eyes widened as he clutched his head.

’I’m done for. Now even a jump into Fuguang Lake couldn’t wash me clean.’

’I’d better get to shore first. I don’t want to stick around and trigger some plot point I shouldn’t; that would be a disaster...’

Yu Bao took one last look at the Golden Sand Flower beneath him and swam toward the surface.

...

「Evening.」

At the foot of the Luojin Mountain Range, beside an SUV.

A campfire crackled, a spit turning over it. A thin trail of smoke drifted high into the sky and slowly dissipated. Shen Chuqing hummed a song as she turned the rabbit meat on the rack. Its skin was roasted to a golden brown, releasing a tempting, savory aroma.

A few Pet Beasts were gathered in a circle, with Yu Bao right in the middle.

”Woof-arf!”

Yu Bao snapped his fingers. Amidst a swirl of sand and gravel, an exquisite castle shot up from the ground. On top, fully armed guards stood in formation, patrolling the ramparts.

Unlike before, the castle’s gates and barred windows, as well as the guards’ armor and weapons, all had a metallic sheen, instantly raising the quality by a whole level.

”Chirp!” ”Wooo!” ”La!” ”Mi!”

The Pet Beasts all made sounds of admiration.

Yu Bao’s lips curled into a smirk, his heart swelling with wild pride.

’Although I haven’t completely figured out what happened at the bottom of the lake, I’m just a Pet Beast. I don’t need to worry about this kind of thing—I can just leave it to Su Zhi.’

’When you learn a new ability, the most important thing is, of course, to show it off!’

”Arf-wooo!”

With a wave of his paw, a small, flightless chicken appeared on the castle’s roof—it was Shan Bao! Not only was her form a near-perfect replica, but even the metallic texture had been recreated.

”Chirp~” Shan Bao tilted her head, delighted.

’Big Brother Yu Bao loves me so much!’

Then, Yu Bao snapped his fingers again. A Black Fighting Emperor appeared near the top of the castle—no need to guess who that was.

It was even wearing a cape and a crown.

”Wooo~” Wu Bao wiggled his antennae, delighted.

’Looks like this is a grand epic drama, and I’m playing the Prince, with Shan Bao as the princess.’

’Thanks, my good bro Yu Bao, you really get me!’

And then... outside the castle, dust and sand swirled, gathering into the shape of Yu Bao.

Seeing this, the guards on the castle immediately attacked, firing a volley of arrows. Yu Bao charged forward through the storm of projectiles, even deliberately slowing down for a close-up at several points he considered particularly cool.

Under Yu Bao’s heroic assault, all the guards were defeated, and Yu Bao faced Wu Bao for a final battle within the city.

In the end, Yu Bao took out Wu Bao with a Furious Sand Blade to the butt, took Wu Bao’s crown, placed it on his own head, and ascended to the top of the castle to rescue Shan Bao.

”Laa~” ”Mii~” ”Chirp~”

Lala, Mimi, and Shan Bao watched with great relish.

”WOOO!!!” Wu Bao stomped his foot in anger.

Yu Bao made a funny face and ran away, with Wu Bao in hot pursuit. The other Pet Beasts, enjoying the show, cheered them on, and the air by the campfire was filled with joyful laughter.

Meanwhile, Su Zhi sat a short distance away, his fingertips flying across a screen.

[Su Zhi]: That’s everything Yu Bao discovered at the bottom of Fuguang Lake

[Su Zhi]: So what’s the situation here?

[Luo Sen]: ...

[Luo Sen]: If the above is true, then I might have just successfully verified another one of my theories.
