Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

”Woof?” Yu Bao tilted his head.

He didn’t know this Round Pepper very well. But seeing how enthusiastic the other was, he offered an appropriate response.

’A smile is all you need in moments like this.jpg’

”Mee!” Mimi also hopped in front of Yu Bao. Unlike Lala, however, her gaze toward Yu Bao was one of utter adoration.

’I finally get to meet you!’

’Su Zhi’s number one Pet Beast! The great Wise One who pioneered chaos! The Pet Beast who crushed the Thunder Qilin Beast! The unconventional Skill Master! King Bi! Yu Bao!’

’I’m your biggest fan! AAAAAH!’

”Woof~” Yu Bao scratched his head, a little embarrassed.

’This little Mimi-fan is so sweet... Er, no, I mean, she really knows how to talk.’

”La.” Lala glanced at Mimi and made a disdainful sound.

’Just a mutt from Huai City, nothing special. Watch your big bro here beat him in a minute and show you.’

”Mee~” Mimi looked at Lala with even more adoration.

Lala’s lips curled up and he lifted his chin. But because he was so round, this motion nearly made him topple over backward.

”...” Yu Bao’s eyes widened, his face etched with displeasure.

’I’m trying to communicate with my fan here, what’s this damn Round Pepper butting in for?’

’And he dares to show off, too—right in front of me. Tsk tsk, looks like I’ve met my match this time!’

Yu Bao and Lala stared at each other, their gazes clashing in midair, seemingly striking sparks of Electricity.

”The atmosphere is great. Let’s skip the pleasantries and get right to it.”

Seeing the state of the two Pet Beasts, Shen Chuqing nodded in satisfaction and snapped her fingers.

The nearest arena slowly activated, and a blue Energy Barrier materialized around its perimeter.

Then, without waiting for their Beast Tamers to give any commands, Yu Bao and Lala eagerly leaped onto it, full of Spirit.

”Chirp!” ”Mee!” The fangirl duo, Shan Bao and Mimi, waited by the edge of the arena, cheering on their respective big brothers.

But besides cheering for Lala, Mimi would also sneak in a quiet cheer for Yu Bao when Lala wasn’t looking.

’Isn’t this a form of NTR...’ Wu Bao watched from the sidelines with his paws tucked in, silently wondering if he should add this plot point to one of his stories.

’Of course, the main character would be him.’

”Shen Da Middle School, Shen Chuqing. I await your guidance.”

”...Huai City First Middle School, Su Zhi. I await your guidance.”

The two Beast Tamers stepped into their command positions. Su Zhi took a deep breath, staring at Lala on the other side of the arena, his feelings a bit complicated.

’He’s a new type of artificial Pet Beast. I don’t even know how to strategize against him...’

’Is this what they call an information gap? Am I going to be the one who gets shown up and put in my place today?’

The Race Bell rang, and Lala made his move.

”Don’t be reckless! Start with a preliminary probe!”

”La!”

The moment Su Zhi’s words fell, Lala on the opposite side had already leaped into the air and opened his small mouth.

A massive torrent of fierce Flame erupted from Lala’s mouth, spanning half the arena and instantly engulfing Yu Bao.

Even standing in the command position, with the Energy Barrier blocking the force and heat, Su Zhi could still feel a wave of searing high temperature wash over him.

A Fire Element Low Level Elite Skill, Giant Fireball!

Compared to a normal Giant Fireball, this blast of Fire was significantly more ferocious.

’It was fueled by a bit of personal emotion...’

Seeing Yu Bao swallowed by the fiery light, a human-like expression of smugness and satisfaction couldn’t help but appear on Lala’s face.

Shen Chuqing had made him watch every one of Yu Bao’s matches. Lala admitted that he fought well, and his style was agile. In that regard, he respected and learned from Yu Bao.

But seeing Mimi admire Yu Bao so much made Lala extremely unhappy.

He was the number one Round Pepper King of Hundred Rivers, renowned in the Breeding Base for his exceptional ability to show off. After being contracted by Shen Chuqing, his favorite thing to do was to show off in front of Mimi and bask in his little fangirl’s adoring gaze.

Until one day, when Lala had mastered a new Skill and was excitedly going to show off for Mimi, he saw this scene: a video of Yu Bao’s match was playing on the computer screen, and Mimi was glued to it, her face filled with adoration...

Lala didn’t act out at the time, but the seeds of unwillingness to concede had already been sown in his heart.

As the saying goes, patience brings peace, taking a step back...

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got!

Watching Yu Bao show off was even more unbearable than not being allowed to show off himself!!

A few days ago, when he heard Su Zhi was coming to Hundred Rivers, Lala was instantly energized. He took the initiative to volunteer to Shen Chuqing, wanting to let the ”mutt from Huai City” witness the style of a Hundred Rivers Round Pepper.

Shen Chuqing had always doted on him, and since she had also accepted the task of being Su Zhi’s guide, she readily agreed.

Biding his time and hiding his strength, all for this very moment—

Today, he, Lala, would make Yu Bao understand: who is the number one King Bi in the Beast Taming Realm!!!

As Lala unleashed the Giant Fireball, raging Flames completely engulfed Yu Bao’s side of the arena. Its momentum was so fierce and its execution so fast that even an Earth Element Pet Beast couldn’t possibly remain indifferent in the face of such a ferocious Fire Element Skill.

Sure enough, after a few seconds, there was a response from within the Flames.

Lala was already prepared, aiming at one side of the Flames in advance. The instant a shadow shot out, a blade-shaped Flame flew out and struck it with unerring accuracy.

Su Zhi’s eyes widened. ”That’s the White Flame Battle Spirit’s...”

”That’s right. It’s the White Flame Battle Spirit’s Racial Skill, White Flame·Blade Form.”

Shen Chuqing’s lips curled up.

”Artificial Pet Beasts don’t have their own Racial Skills, but they can master one Racial Skill from a Pet Beast of the same Attribute. Their efficiency in learning other Skills is also superior to natural Pet Beasts.”

In the time it took for this exchange, the two Pet Beasts had already clashed several times.

Lala’s Giant Fireball was clearly a variation that incorporated other Skills. It didn’t extinguish quickly after exploding but continued to burn, causing Yu Bao a lot of trouble.

Lala’s Fire was obviously hotter than that of a typical Fire Element Pet Beast; this was a racial trait of Round Pepper Buns.

Yu Bao tried to force a breakout, but each time he was struck with pinpoint accuracy by Lala’s White Flame.

Due to the extreme heat, the use of Desert Concealment was somewhat restricted, and Yu Bao had to use Yellow Earth Wall to aid his defense.

However, Lala could always find a gap in Yu Bao’s defenses, exploit the opening, and manipulate various Fire Element Skills to hit Yu Bao with incredible precision.

Seeing Yu Bao’s battered and miserable appearance, Lala’s expression grew even more smug.

He had carefully studied every one of Yu Bao’s battles up to the finals of the selection tournament. He knew Yu Bao inside and out.

You could say that the moment Yu Bao twitched his butt, Lala knew what kind of fart he was about to let out.

In contrast, Yu Bao knew nothing about his Skills and would find it difficult to counter or adjust in such a short time.

’Showing Off Style, Number One: The Great Information Gap Method! I ask you, can the mutt from Huai City do that?’

Watching the battle on the arena, Shen Chuqing showed an unreservedly satisfied expression.

She knew how much effort Lala had put in. Although his goal was to show off, the improvement in his strength was real, and Shen Chuqing didn’t mind what Lala’s specific motivations were.

It was true that Lala had taken the initiative to ask for a spar with Yu Bao, but she was also genuinely interested in this prodigy who had once been fought over by four Alliance Leaders.

Su Zhi was strong, and Shen Chuqing had actually mentally prepared herself for a tough fight before the spar. She hadn’t expected Lala to have such a smooth time of it, to the point of practically seeing through all of Yu Bao’s tricks.

’It seems Lala really went all out just to show off like this.’

SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

Under the pressure of Lala’s assault, Yu Bao seemed to decide on a defensive counterattack, summoning a Quicksand Shield.

As the Quicksand Shield whizzed forward, it briefly carved a path through the field of fire. Empowered by Thick Earth Blessing, the Quicksand Shield withstood the searing heat and hurtled toward Lala.

Lala had long anticipated this move. He dodged it with flair and glanced down at Mimi below the arena.

’How about that! Isn’t your big bro handsome!’

”Mee!” Mimi, however, had a shocked expression, warning him to be careful.

Lala turned back, bewildered, only to see the Quicksand Shield transform with silky smoothness into a Furious Sand Blade, which shot toward him like a missile.

”QAQ LA!!!”

Lala did a tactical lean-back, narrowly escaping disaster. The Furious Sand Blade grazed past his mouth, shaving off a perfectly square patch of his skin right below his nose, making it look just like a toothbrush mustache.

”Woof?” Yu Bao emerged from the fire, a comical smile on his face.

’Well, well, if it isn’t General Lala? What are you doing on the ground?’
