224: Section 224Junzi Group.

Inside Wang Mo’s office in the Weixin Department.

Today, everyone was holding a routine meeting.

Over the past half month, the entire internet of Yan Country had entered a period of calm.

Except for Blue Wallet launching Huabei, almost nothing major had happened.

However, there was one thing worth mentioning.

That was.

Penguin Group once again reached a cooperation agreement with Ali.

The latest Blue Wallet QR codes for many shops became compatible with QQ Pay QR codes.

Presumably, for this cooperation, Penguin had to shed a lot of blood internally.

And at this moment.

Zhang Fan was looking at the document in his hand and speaking to Wang Mo.

”I say, Boss.”

”Isn’t WeChat’s daily active user growth a bit strange recently?”

Upon hearing that.

Wang Mo frowned and asked.

”How is it strange?”

Zhang Fan scratched his head.

”It’s normal for WeChat’s user growth to slow down after Blue Wallet launched Huabei more than ten days ago, and I can understand that.”

”But why?”

”Why did the growth, which should have only halved, decrease by more than half after Blue Wallet launched Huabei?”

”Logically speaking.”

”Only Blue Wallet launched Huabei, so the QQ user base’s rate of loss to WeChat should not have been affected.”

”But why has the number of young QQ users registering for WeChat also decreased significantly?”

Listening to Zhang Fan’s questions, Wang Mo couldn’t help but smile and shake his head.

”Isn’t this very normal?”

Upon hearing that.

Zhang Fan immediately wanted to ask, but Wang Mo had already continued to explain.

”Many of the QQ and Blue Wallet user bases overlap.”

”Many users who have Blue Wallet also have QQ, this chat software.”

”Usually, many QQ users are accustomed to using Blue Wallet for their payment methods.”

”Although QQ hasn’t launched Huabei yet, Blue Wallet’s Huabei function can make them focus their attention on Blue Wallet.”

After Wang Mo finished speaking, Zhang Fan finally had a sudden realization.

QQ users who had previously downloaded WeChat because of the Huabei function now all had Blue Wallet, so they indeed no longer had a reason to download WeChat.

And Wang Mo also patted Zhang Fan’s shoulder.

”It’s just a slight slowdown in growth, it won’t affect anything.”

”Blue Wallet and QQ’s daily active users have already stopped growing, and QQ’s users are even still being lost.”

”As long as we add a little more fuel, it’s only a matter of time before WeChat users surpass them.”

After speaking.

Wang Mo looked at Zhao Ming, who was beside him.

”How many daily active users does WeChat have now?”

Zhao Ming thought for a moment.

”After the last public daily active user count, we waited ten more days to publicize the Huabei overdue rate, and now it’s been almost another month since then.”

”In this month.”

”WeChat’s daily active users have increased from the previous 440 million to 500 million.”

Listening to this number, Wang Mo also slowly nodded.

”The growth has indeed slowed down a lot. With the increased growth of chat users, the user growth this month is still 30 million less than last month. Blue Wallet’s Huabei still has quite an impact.”

”However, our WeChat has finally entered the threshold of 500 million daily active users.”

After speaking.

Wang Mo asked again.

”How many daily active users do QQ and Blue Wallet approximately have now?”

Listening to this question, Zhao Ming directly said.

”QQ and Blue Wallet haven’t publicized their daily active users recently.”

”But according to external data, the number of daily active users for QQ and Blue Wallet should have decreased to around 570 million to 580 million.”

Upon hearing that.

Wang Mo couldn’t help but click his tongue.

597

”Is there only a gap of seventy to eighty million left?”

”Even based on last month’s daily active user growth, it will only take a little over a month for us to catch up to them.”

As soon as Wang Mo finished speaking, Zhang Fan, who was beside him, shook his head.

”It’s impossible to be that short.”

Zhang Fan’s expression was very serious.

”After Blue Wallet launched the Huabei function, user loss has stopped, and there’s even a tendency to increase in the past two days.”

”And in two more days, QQ’s Huabei will also be launched.”

”Although in the past half month or so, QQ has been quite weak in the offline payment market, it has reached a cooperation with Blue Wallet and launched a QR code that is compatible with both software.”

”Once QQ’s Huabei function is launched, the loss of QQ users will also slow down or even stop.”

”After that, if QQ and Blue Wallet hold some more activities, they might even be able to attract some users.”

Zhang Fan paused.

”So, this last seventy to eighty million user journey is not that easy.”

Listening to Zhang Fan’s words, Wang Mo couldn’t help but chuckle twice.

”Since the road is not easy.”

”Then let’s speed it up.”

Wang Mo looked at Zhao Ming.

”WeChat’s next update will be after QQ launches Huabei.”

”Pony thought that with Huabei, QQ could breathe a sigh of relief.”

”But our WeChat has already been waiting for him ahead.”

Chapter 155: The update to end the game, launching the Red Envelope function!

Wang Mo’s voice gradually echoed in the conference room.

And hearing this sentence, Zhang Fan scratched his head.

”WeChat still has a major update?”

”Are there new features to be added?”

Zhang Fan’s questioning words echoed in the conference room.

Although Zhang Fan paid close attention to WeChat’s data, he was not part of the Weixin Department now, so he didn’t know about some of WeChat’s subsequent updates and operational plans.

Facing Zhang Fan’s inquiry, Wang Mo smiled and nodded.

”What kind of update?” Zhang Fan asked.

Wang Mo took a deep breath.

”Mini Programs and Red Envelopes.”
