You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

209: Section 209Oldest Brother also took out his phone and opened WeChat as he walked towards the door.

“You two, I’m going next door to ask someone.”

After he finished speaking, Oldest Brother was about to leave the dorm room.

But just then, he tapped on WeChat’s Wallet interface.

Two brand new function names appeared before him: spare money and Huabei.

“What is this?”

After muttering to himself, Oldest Brother stopped, then directly tapped on the new function called Huabei.

The next second,

“Holy crap!”

Oldest Brother’s surprised exclamation rang out directly at the doorway.

Hearing this, Oldest Brother and Second Brother both turned their heads to look at him at the same time.

“What’s wrong?”

Both of them were a bit confused.

After Oldest Brother swallowed, he looked back at the two of them.

“WeChat’s recent update launched a function called Huabei.”

“This Huabei directly has a 2,000 yuan credit limit, which I can use for any consumption, and I only need to repay it after one month!”

Hearing this,

the two of them rushed to Oldest Brother’s side and looked at his phone at the same time.

“Except for not being able to directly transfer money, almost all places where you can spend, whether online or offline, can directly use this Huabei for payment!”

“And this Huabei doesn’t have any interest; you just repay what you spend after one month.”

“And if you can’t repay it after a month, it even gives you an installment payment function, can you believe it?”

Oldest Brother’s voice was a bit excited.

Because he was indeed short on living expenses at the moment.

The existence of this Huabei just solved his recent spending needs.

“Don’t get too excited yet; this is just predicting the amount you can get after activating Huabei. Try applying to activate it first.”

Second Brother’s voice rang out.

“Such interest-free loans shouldn’t be that easy to activate.”

“Don’t get happy too soon.”

“If you can’t apply to activate Huabei, then it still won’t solve your urgent need.”

Upon hearing this,

Oldest Brother also reined in his excitement, then nodded.

“That’s true.”

Then,

Oldest Brother clicked the apply for Huabei button.

The next second,

“Applying…” appeared on the screen.

Seeing this, Oldest Brother also took a deep breath.

“We can wait for now; this application should be manual and will take some time.”

The next second,

Oldest Brother hadn’t even finished speaking.

As the screen flickered,

the four big words “Application Approved” appeared on his phone.

“So fast!”

Seeing this, Oldest Brother was stunned for a moment.

Oldest Brother and Second Brother behind him were also a bit incredulous.

They didn’t expect that it didn’t even require any extra operations; Oldest Brother just clicked apply, and it was directly approved.

“A 2,000 yuan credit limit, although it can’t be used for direct transfers, it should be able to solve my urgent need.”

“This function…”

“Actually, it’s just pre-spending your future money.”

Oldest Brother couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

And looking at the credit limit on Oldest Brother’s phone, Oldest Brother and Second Brother exchanged glances, then immediately picked up their own phones and started updating WeChat.

A few minutes later,

“Damn, why do I only have a 500 yuan credit limit?”

“Oldest Brother, don’t even talk about it, I only have 400.”

“Why does this Huabei differentiate people? Why is our credit limit less than yours?” Second Brother was a bit confused.

Oldest Brother just smiled.

“I just looked at the detailed rules. It has a so-called credit score. It seems the more frequently you use Weixin Wallet, the higher your credit score, and the higher your credit limit. I was already used to using WeChat Pay instead of Blue Wallet before.”

“Most of the time you guys used Blue Wallet before and didn’t use WeChat Pay much, so your credit limit is naturally very low.”

“However…”

Oldest Brother paused.

“This time WeChat also launched a spare money function, which allows you to borrow 500 yuan for seven days. Since it’s just launched, it’s still free to borrow, and this can be directly borrowed into your Wallet balance.”

Listening to Oldest Brother’s words, Second Brother couldn’t help but nod.

Then he looked at WeChat on his phone.

“But WeChat’s perseverance is indeed exaggerated; it’s so bold as to let users spend their own money. Aren’t they afraid we won’t repay it after spending?”

“But this thing is indeed quite useful.”

“Basically, in the last few days of every month, I could only ‘eat dirt’ because my living expenses ran out. Now I can advance it.”

“I already have a premonition that this function will probably become a necessity for college students in schools across the country before long.”

After Second Brother finished speaking,

Oldest Brother and the other two couldn’t help but nod.

After all, this function is indeed extremely tempting for young people like them.

Almost all young people have encountered situations where they didn’t have enough money at some point, whether they were working or studying, but in order not to worry their families, few people would ask their families for money.

With the introduction of this function, it’s probably only a matter of time before it becomes popular.

And just as the three of them were about to go to the supermarket to see if they could pay with Huabei,

a brother from the dorm next door pushed open their dorm room door.

“You three, brother, I’m going to ‘eat dirt’ recently. Can I borrow some?”

Hearing this person’s words, the three of them exchanged glances with a tacit understanding.

And after Oldest Brother and the others discovered the Huabei function updated in WeChat,

people across the country also began to apply for Huabei one after another.

Chapter 142: Rushing to the Top of the Hot Search, the Huabei Function That Shocked the Entire Network

Because on the day WeChat was updated,

QQ also launched its payment function.

For WeChat, which had not even advertised this update before, its popularity was certainly no match for QQ at first.

Many people didn’t even know what WeChat had updated.

After all, WeChat’s update is not like QQ’s, it’s not a mandatory update.

Even if you don’t update WeChat, WeChat can still be used.

So, many people did not update WeChat to the latest version immediately, as they did not yet know what the WeChat update contained.

Although the update description stated that it introduced two new functions: Huabei and spare money.
