You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

213: Section 213It no longer matters how Huabei was conceived.

The most important thing right now is to quickly set up their QQ’s offline payment market, and then observe Huabei’s potential after a month.

They can no longer prevent the short-term loss of QQ users to WeChat.

After all, once the Huabei feature is launched, young QQ users who are short on money will inevitably start downloading WeChat, and this is something they can hardly stop.

And no matter from what direction, it will be difficult for QQ to launch a Huabei-like feature in a short period.

Subsequently,

Everyone discussed the details of QQ’s payment feature layout again, and then prepared to adjourn the meeting.

But just then, General Manager Ma’s secretary walked into the conference room.

”General Manager Ma, General Manager Ma on the other side has called again via video, should I hang up directly as before?”

Hearing this,

General Manager Ma hesitated.

Previously, when he decided to launch the payment feature on QQ, he had already refused contact with General Manager Ma.

General Manager Ma’s call must be related to WeChat launching Huabei.

After a moment of hesitation, General Manager Ma first let the others leave the office, then said to his secretary,

”Connect it.”

”Okay.”

Not long after the secretary left the conference room,

General Manager Ma’s face appeared directly on a large screen in the conference room.

The next second,

General Manager Ma’s storm-like curses began to echo in the conference room.

General Manager Ma was furious when General Manager Ma backstabbed him by adding a payment feature to QQ.

Just the day before, the two were discussing how to deal with WeChat together, but the next day, QQ directly announced that their payment feature had been successfully developed and would be online in a few days. Who wouldn’t be angry about such a thing?

Although General Manager Ma also immediately responded by adding a chat feature to Blue Wallet,

Because it was not developed in advance, it will still take a considerable amount of time before this feature is added to Blue Wallet.

General Manager Ma originally thought it would be difficult to contact General Manager Ma, but this time he didn’t expect General Manager Ma to answer the phone, so he immediately started cursing loudly.

After cursing for a long time,

General Manager Ma’s voice gradually softened.

It was then that General Manager Ma slowly spoke.

”General Manager Ma, you didn’t just come to curse me this time, did you?”

”If you just want to vent, you can hang up now.”

General Manager Ma paused.

”Although WeChat was our common opponent before, you and I both know very well now that WeChat’s nature makes it very difficult for either of our two software to defeat it.”

”If I don’t make any decisions, QQ’s users will definitely be lost, so I must take this step, I must retain QQ’s core user base.”

”I hope you can understand.”

Hearing this, General Manager Ma sneered directly.

”Now that Weixin Wallet has launched Huabei, I’m afraid you won’t be able to keep them even if you want to.”

”Your QQ also has a payment feature, aren’t you considering launching this Huabei? Are you just going to watch WeChat snatch away all our young users with consumption needs?”

Hearing this, General Manager Ma also fell silent for a moment.

Then he looked at General Manager Ma and slowly said,

”WeChat’s actions can indeed increase the number of young users in the short term.”

”But I believe this feature will absolutely not succeed; Huabei’s delinquency rate cannot be lower than twenty percent.”

”Wang Mo, he overestimates human nature.”

At this time, after General Manager Ma had completely calmed down,

He had almost concluded that Huabei would be an extremely failed feature.

Not just him.

Many other internet practitioners outside also held the same view at this time.

After all, this kind of lending feature directly based on user credit has never appeared in Yan Country before, and the reason no one tried it was because they dared not challenge the greed of human nature.

However, this time,

Perhaps the final data of Huabei will shock everyone’s worldview.

Chapter 145: Huabei Activation Numbers Soar, Concerns About the Future.

After the internal meeting at Penguin Group ended,

Time continued to pass.

After Weixin Wallet launched Huabei,

The usage rate of Weixin Wallet continued to increase and rise in the subsequent period.

Previously,

Many WeChat users, in fact, mostly used another payment software, Blue Wallet, on their phones for most of their consumption time.

But when Huabei appeared,

As long as Huabei was activated for some accidental reason, these users’ habits would gradually shift from Blue Wallet to Huabei.

In addition to WeChat’s original users,

In just a few days, the Huabei feature also attracted a large number of young users from QQ and Blue Wallet.

In the three days after Huabei trended on hot searches, the daily active user numbers of QQ and Blue Wallet decreased by several million each day, almost visibly.

Meanwhile, WeChat’s daily active data surged wildly.

Three days after trending on hot searches,

WeChat publicly released various data for Huabei for the first time.

In these three days, over twenty million WeChat users activated Huabei!

And WeChat’s overall user base also increased by more than fifteen million.

And by this time,

WeChat had rarely disclosed the number of Weixin Wallet activators, because almost most WeChat users had already activated the wallet, and it was no longer meaningful to count them separately.

The release of this data naturally caused quite a stir.

Many people did not expect that

In just a few days, Huabei’s users had already exceeded twenty million.

One must know that many software’s fastest user growth rates cannot achieve this result, yet a single feature added by WeChat easily accomplished it.

As for this achievement,

Wang Mo actually had some estimations.

After all, something like Huabei, in his previous life, could indeed be said to be a necessity for many young people; perhaps they wouldn’t use it often, but there would always be a few days each month when they were short on money.

For many users who urgently needed money, Huabei and spare money were indeed features that offered timely help.

However,

Looking at Weixin Huabei’s exaggerated results, many internet practitioners outside were somewhat concerned.

Because they all knew very well that

The more users Huabei activates, the greater the delinquency rate and potential problems for Huabei.

After all, ten percent of one hundred Huabei users being delinquent is fundamentally different from ten percent of ten million users being delinquent.

The losses they can bring have a tenfold difference.

What’s more,

Generally, for such features, the more users there are, the higher the delinquency rate will be.

Credit cards from banks are an example: the more users a certain bank has for credit cards, the higher the overall delinquency rate will be.

Therefore, looking at the continuously surging number of Huabei users, Penguin Group’s internal team seemed quite happy.

They even hoped that Huabei would have even more users.

Because in that case, when WeChat eventually can’t sustain itself due to Huabei’s excessively high delinquency rate, Junzi Group’s losses will be even greater.

Currently, Junzi Group
