208: Section 208However.

What Penguin Group and Ali didn’t know was that WeChat’s actions were all meticulously considered and were part of a step-by-step strategic layout in these directions.

For companies like Penguin Group and Ali, forcibly venturing into different domains will likely not yield good results.

Most of QQ’s users are young people, and their consumption levels are not high, nowhere near WeChat, where most users are older.

The most crucial point is this.

If these young QQ users have a need for online payments, they have almost certainly downloaded Blue Wallet.

They have no reason to abandon Blue Wallet to use QQ’s immature payment system.

And the effect of Blue Wallet introducing a chat function was even more mediocre.

Because WeChat first had chat and then payment, many people subconsciously know that WeChat is essentially still a chat application.

But Blue Wallet is precisely the opposite.

Although it incorporated a chat function, users subconsciously perceive it as a payment application, so very few people use it for chatting.

However, now.

Even though they knew that forcibly launching new features might not be very effective.

Pony Ma and Jack Ma could no longer afford to care so much.

WeChat’s daily active user data had indeed made them truly realize the threat posed by WeChat.

QQ was slightly better than Blue Wallet.

After all, it and WeChat are both essentially chat applications.

As long as QQ’s changes align with WeChat, then, as Pony Ma said, WeChat will find it difficult to snatch young users from QQ’s grasp.

At this moment, Penguin Group was still unaware.

The features to be introduced in WeChat’s next update would once again ignite a craze.

(Li Qian Zhao) And at this moment.

What no one had expected was this.

Just a few days later.

On the same day that QQ was about to launch its payment function.

One hour after QQ’s update package was released.

WeChat officially pushed an update.

The several wallet functions in this update would be key for WeChat to attract younger user groups.

These two functions were originally launched by Blue Wallet in Wang Mo’s previous life, but Blue Wallet in this world does not have these two functions.

Because before.

WeChat had not given any pre-announcement for the update of these two functions.

So that day.

Basically, all the buzz and trending topics were related to QQ’s update.

After many people relaxed and also updated WeChat.

Two brand-new functions in Weixin Wallet finally appeared before everyone.

Function one is called spare money.

Function two is called Huabei.

In a male dormitory at a university in Modu.

”Boss, have you updated your QQ?”

The second brother’s voice rang out in the dorm room.

In response to the second brother’s question, the boss nodded.

”Just updated it. It’s actually a forced update; you can’t use it without updating.”

”But it’s really useless for QQ to inexplicably release a wallet function. We already have WeChat and Blue Wallet; why does it have to get involved too?”

Upon hearing this.

The second brother smiled.

”If QQ can also do some money-giving activities, I’d be very welcome.”

”Penguin Group is a big company, so they should also find a way to give money to increase payment users later, right?”

After the second brother finished speaking.

The third brother, who was on the bed beside him, also popped his head out and murmured.

”These companies still don’t understand that the key isn’t that we lack payment applications; we lack money.”

”It’s useless to have more payment applications if you don’t have money to use them.”

After speaking.

The third brother looked at the two below, the boss and the second brother.

”Gentlemen.”

”Brother, I’m a bit tight on money recently. Can you lend me a thousand?”

”I’ll pay you back when I get paid for my part-time tutoring job.”

”I really can’t even afford food lately.”

Listening to the third brother’s words, the boss scratched his head.

”When do you get paid for your part-time job?”

”Another half a month.”

”That’s too long.” The boss shook his head. ”I have to go home in a couple of days, and I don’t even have enough money to buy gifts for my family.”

Listening to the boss’s words, the third brother looked at the second brother.

”What about you, second brother?”

The second brother directly shook his head.

”Don’t ask me.”

”I’m also a bit tight on money recently, as you all know.”

”Little brother, I...”

The second brother suddenly became a bit bashful.

”How should I put it? I’ve had a little bit of a romantic encounter recently.”

”And it really needs money.”

Upon hearing this.

The third brother also scratched his head helplessly.

”Am I really going to have to ’eat dirt’ for the next half a month? The fourth brother is in the library every day and is even tighter on money than us, so it’s useless to ask him.”

”What about your girlfriend?” The second brother asked.

”She’s been a bit sick recently, which is why I spent a lot of money. She’s still in the hospital now.”

Listening to the third brother’s words, the second brother suddenly frowned and thought for a moment.

”I did think of a way.”

”What?” The third brother immediately became serious.

”Go get a naked loan.”

”Get lost.”

After cursing a few times, the third brother helplessly picked up his phone, unsure how to get this one thousand yuan.

And at this moment.

WeChat’s update notification also appeared on his phone.

”Why did WeChat update too?”

”If it weren’t for campus Wi-Fi, my data wouldn’t even be enough.”
