214: Section 214Although it controls several behemoths, its overall cash flow and foundation are still far inferior to those of Penguin Group and Ali Group.

Currently, all spending by Huabei users is advanced by Junzi Group; if the overdue rate exceeds a certain value after one month, WeChat will suffer significant losses.

Penguin Group and Ali Group are now waiting for the moment WeChat collapses due to Huabei.

However.

In the eyes of Penguin and Ali, before the collapse of Huabei, the number of users in their two foundational software products was continuously flowing to WeChat.

The Huabei feature.

Its appeal to the younger user demographic is simply too great.

Even if there is no immediate need to use Huabei, circumstances are unpredictable; if for some reason they are short on money in the future, Huabei will become the first choice for these young users.

And as long as they use Huabei, the payment software they normally use will also switch from Blue Wallet to Huabei.

This situation is most common at the end of the month.

Ten days after Huabei was launched, the time just happened to be the end of the current month.

During these last few days of the month.

The number of activated WeChat Huabei users surged, and WeChat’s own user base also continuously increased.

However, the daily active user numbers for QQ and Blue Wallet continued to decline uncontrollably.

Now, the daily active users of both QQ and Blue Wallet have fallen below the 600 million mark.

At the same time.

Because Blue Wallet users are all payment users, the user loss for Blue Wallet is several times that of QQ.

Even though its previous user count exceeded QQ by twenty to thirty million, in just about ten days after Huabei’s launch, Blue Wallet’s user count had already fallen to the same level as QQ.

Meanwhile.

The first day of the next month.

Inside the WeChat Department of Junzi Group Building.

”Currently, the number of activated Huabei users has exceeded 40 million, and the amount of money spent in advance has exceeded 10 billion.”

”The number of users who activated Huabei in the past two days also surged significantly compared to mid-month.”

”And WeChat’s daily active user count has risen from 350 million to 390 million.”

”Now, the gap between WeChat and QQ, as well as Blue Wallet, is not much.”

Zhao Ming’s voice rang out in Wang Mo’s office.

At this time, Zhang Fan and others were also in the office.

Normally, this achievement would be quite impressive, and everyone should be happy.

But after Zhao Ming finished speaking, everyone’s expressions were quite serious, showing no trace of excitement or enthusiasm.

And there was only one reason for everyone’s concern.

That is.

They also couldn’t be sure how high the final overdue rate for Huabei would be.

If, after one month, fewer people repay Huabei than they imagined, then WeChat would indeed suffer huge losses.

After listening to Zhao Ming, Zhang Fan couldn’t help but say,

”This achievement is indeed quite impressive.”

”But the key is.”

”How many of these people who activated Huabei (Li Nuo’s) will actually be able to repay.”

Not only Zhang Fan was worried about this issue, but almost everyone else in Wang Mo’s office felt the same.

Because something like Huabei had never appeared before, not just in Yan Country, but even globally.

After all, in essence, online Huabei, which can be activated almost unconditionally, is almost completely different from offline credit cards, which require various documents for activation.

Huabei, which can be activated with almost no restrictions, will definitely attract all sorts of people with ulterior motives.

Everyone lacked confidence in whether this feature could succeed.

Facing everyone’s concerns.

Wang Mo’s expression, however, seemed quite calm.

Because only he knew what the final results of Huabei would be.

Then he chuckled.

Wang Mo also looked at the others and smiled.

”Don’t worry.”

”Trust is mutual.”

”This feature is not as fragile as you imagine.”

”Didn’t the spare money before have a pretty high repayment rate?”

Wang Mo’s voice continued to resonate in the office.

Because more than ten days had passed since Huabei and spare money were launched.

So, the first batch of users who used spare money had already reached their repayment time a few days ago.

The difference between spare money and Huabei is that.

Huabei can only be used for consumption and cannot be directly converted into a balance.

But spare money can be directly withdrawn to the balance, though the repayment period is limited to one week.

Compared to Huabei.

This feature that allows users to spend in advance.

spare money can be considered a truly emergency function for users.

However.

The amount for spare money is only 500 yuan.

Listening to Wang Mo’s words, everyone exchanged glances.

Zhang Fan scratched his head and said,

”But the amount for spare money is not high after all, only 500 yuan.”

”Not many people would be willing to take risks for 500 yuan.”

”But Huabei has a full two thousand, or even more.”

”An amount of several thousand yuan has far greater appeal than 500 yuan of spare money.”

Most of the others shared the same thoughts as Zhang Fan.

After all, the appeal of a few hundred yuan versus a few thousand yuan is indeed quite different.

”Although the overdue rate for the first batch of people who borrowed spare money was only 6.something percent, this doesn’t mean that Huabei’s overdue rate will also be this low.”

”If Huabei’s overdue rate is also this low, then this feature can already be considered successful.”

”We can already avoid losses through installment payments and some other interest.”

Zhao Ming’s voice also rang out from the side.

Listening to their words, Wang Mo just smiled.

”Six point something percent? Don’t underestimate Huabei too much.”

”Huabei is different from spare money; if there’s malicious overdue payment for a certain period, it will affect one’s credit record.”

”Few people are willing to affect their credit system for a few thousand yuan.”

After he finished speaking.

The others exchanged glances again.

”But I’m still a bit worried.”

Zhang Fan couldn’t help but scratch his head.

”Moreover, currently, if spare money is overdue, it will only affect WeChat’s credit score, and there isn’t much punishment.”
