You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

216: Section 216However, WeChat’s current performance has already told everyone that QQ and Blue Wallet are not invincible.

It’s just that before, they hadn’t encountered a formidable opponent.

The reason WeChat’s daily active users could increase so rapidly, in addition to Huabei, was another important factor: WeChat’s inherent characteristic of a friend circle based on real-world social networks.

As WeChat gained more and more users, the speed of this real-world network’s expansion was astonishing.

Even if some people weren’t interested in WeChat or didn’t use Huabei, they were forced to switch to WeChat because more and more people around them were using it.

Wang Mo’s WeChat success in his previous life was also a crucial factor.

Originally, many people had always used QQ, but at some point, more and more people switched to WeChat.

Many people’s last QQ Space update was a QR code to add them on WeChat.

When they found that there were hardly any friends using QQ around them, anyone would naturally switch to WeChat.

And in this past month, because WeChat had the incredibly attractive Huabei feature for young users, the number of users for QQ and Blue Wallet continued to decline.

On the day WeChat released its latest data, the daily active users for both QQ and Blue Wallet had already dropped to around 570 million.

You should know that QQ had maintained a record of 600 million daily active users for several years.

But WeChat had only been launched for about half a year, and QQ had already fallen below 600 million daily active users and was still declining.

This already shows how much of an impact WeChat has had on QQ.

As for Blue Wallet, after Huabei was launched, it was impacted no less than QQ.

At the same time, after this information was released, WeChat’s official Weibo attracted a large number of users to congratulate it.

”Congratulations, congratulations! It already has over 400 million daily active users. Is this the power of Junzi Group?”

”Huabei is indeed quite impressive; it can genuinely attract such a large group of young users.”

”Goodness, it’s actually about to succeed! A few months ago, if someone told me WeChat could catch up to QQ and Blue Wallet, I wouldn’t have believed it for a second.”

”To the person above, let alone catching up, a few months ago I didn’t even think WeChat could survive. But now? The results are truly more explosive each time. How many more trump cards does WeChat have?”

”But with WeChat’s daily active users so high now, the data for QQ and Blue Wallet must have dropped quite a bit, right?”

However, besides many ordinary users praising WeChat’s achievements, many internet practitioners were focused on Huabei’s delinquency rate.

Because this is actually the key to WeChat’s ability to retain young users.

If Huabei’s delinquency rate is too high, causing WeChat to be unable to sustain it and eventually forcing it to shut down, then most of the users who downloaded WeChat because of Huabei would likely not remain.

Whether WeChat can truly bring down QQ and Blue Wallet depends on whether Huabei can continue to exist.

”I’ve roughly calculated from the current number of Huabei users that for Huabei not to incur losses, the delinquency rate must be below 8%.”

”I think even 20% is iffy. Human greed is quite exaggerated.”

......

”Let’s wait and see. The delinquency rate for the first batch of Huabei users will be released in a couple of days.”

Similar discussions echoed in many major internet companies.

At this moment, countless eyes were fixed on Junzi Group.

But everyone knew that it would still take a few days for the delinquency rate of Huabei’s first batch of users to be publicly released.

This is because a large number of Huabei’s first batch of activated users appeared within the first three days of its launch.

And many of these people would definitely choose installment payments, so they wouldn’t be counted as delinquent users. The remaining users would certainly have some who delayed payment by a day or two, or two or three days, and these people are actually interfering factors.

Therefore, it would still take some time to get accurate data.

However, regarding Huabei’s prospects, almost most internet practitioners were not optimistic.

After all, Huabei was betting on users’ integrity this time, and one could even say it was challenging human greed and nature.

And many people understood that there are quite a few selfish and profit-seeking individuals.

Therefore, in their eyes, Huabei’s prospects were quite dangerous.

And under everyone’s anticipation, another week passed.

And on this day, WeChat publicly announced that it would release the delinquency rate of the first batch of Huabei users in three days.

As soon as this news came out, it instantly attracted countless eyes.

Chapter 148: Terrifying Delinquency Rate, Weixin Department Breathes a Sigh of Relief!

Junzi Group Building.

While WeChat publicly announced that Huabei’s delinquency rate would be released in three days, within the Weixin Department, the delinquency rate for the first batch of Huabei users had actually already been compiled during this past week.

However, because this number was simply too exaggerated, many people were somewhat unwilling to believe it.

After checking many times, everyone finally accepted the information.

At this moment, in a conference room within the Weixin Department, ”2.1, it’s actually only 2.1!”

”Excluding all installment payments and those who were delinquent for one or two days, the number of users who were delinquent for seven days and had no repayment actions was actually only 2.1%!”

”Is this number real?”

”Is Huabei’s delinquency rate really that low?”

Zhang Fan, who had just arrived in the conference room, was excitedly speaking.

He had been waiting for the latest Huabei data.

And upon learning that Huabei’s delinquency rate was so low, he was the most excited.

Because this meant that WeChat’s Huabei would not only avoid any losses, but would even generate some profit from installment interest and late payment interest.

Of course, for Weixin Wallet, this profit was negligible.

But the most crucial point was that the Huabei feature could exist long-term.

It had been a month since Huabei launched.

Even if Blue Wallet launched a similar feature later, it would already be too late.

Although many users would not uninstall Blue Wallet due to Taobao and other reasons, as long as they used Weixin Wallet for most of their offline consumption, it was already enough.

Now, the three software applications had reached a strange balance.

Logically speaking, most internet users should only use one chat application and one payment application.

But after this past month, a very strange situation had emerged.
