The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 274: Chapter 136 This Time It’s a Swindler (9)_3

So, when they saw Su Min heading out, it was mostly villagers with other surnames who greeted her.

”West Street’s Aunt Chen’s grandson has encountered a ’visitor,’ I am going to help perform a ritual!” Su Min said, making it sound very important.

”Oh my, the Chen family’s mischievous monkey, has he caused trouble again?”

”You might not know, but my house is right behind the Chen family’s, and last night the child cried his heart out, tossing and turning all night. It turned out he had encountered a visitor!”

”No wonder then, early this morning, I saw Granny Chen rushing out with her grandson, apparently seeking help from Immortal Nun Su.”

”This is a matter that definitely requires Immortal Nun Su...”

The villagers chattered excitedly, full of trust and admiration for Su Min.

Su Min listened with a smile for a while, but seeing that it was getting late, she did not dare to delay—after performing the exorcism, she still needed to go home and cook for her daughter.

”The auspicious hour for performing the ritual is almost here, I won’t chat with you aunties and sisters-in-law anymore!”

Su Min graciously nodded to everyone, then headed towards Chaotic Tomb Mound.

The villagers pointed and murmured about Su Min’s departing figure.

This small event spread particularly quickly in the entertainment-starved small mountain village, and soon, another involved party, Granny Chen, heard about it.

She was somewhat concerned about the 550 yuan she had spent, and also a bit worried whether Su Min would fulfill her duties thoroughly in helping her grandson overcome the disaster.

Glancing at her grandson watching cartoons on an old mobile phone, Granny Chen called out loudly to the inside of the house, ”Old man, Immortal Nun Su is off to do the ritual at Chaotic Tomb, I’m going to take a look!”

”...Go ahead. Come back soon, it’s heavy with yin energy there, don’t get hit by another visitor!”

Old Man Chen also raised his voice in response.

”Got it!” Granny Chen straightened her clothes, smoothed her hair, and briskly left the house.

She carefully skirted around the crowds and after reaching Chaotic Tomb, hid in a clump of grass, stealthily watching the scene not far away—

Su Min was alone in front of a grave mound, randomly dancing around while chanting and waving a Peach Wood Sword.

The climax came quickly.

Su Min placed a few pieces of yellow paper on the Peach Wood Sword and waved it around in the air. Without spitting alcohol or exhaling, the papers suddenly ignited.

”Oh my goodness, Immortal Nun Su truly has supernatural powers!”

Granny Chen was stunned, as making paper money burn out of thin air isn’t something ordinary people could achieve.

Desolate Village Ghost: ...just, just very angry.

He was peacefully sleeping in his own ”home” when a witch who didn’t understand mysticism at all came to disturb him.

Babbling and chattering, truly enough to disturb the peace of the dead.

Even though she brought offerings, what on earth did she bring?

Rotten apples, cucumber eggs, and peach pastries that had been sitting in the village store for who knows how long!

Even if they weren’t expired, he, a grown man, wouldn’t want to eat them.

At least bring some alcohol, or light a few cigarettes.

If you’re too stingy for Maotai or fine tobacco, even the cheapest would do.

Instead—

Desolate Village Ghost really wanted to pop out and give this ”Immortal Nun” a severe lesson, to let her know that even lonely ghosts shouldn’t be bullied by a swindler pretending to be a spirit medium.

But, but, Desolate Village Ghost didn’t dare.

He hadn’t forgotten how, at noon, he was almost crushed to death by the soul of a little girl.

After a hundred years of cultivation, he was barely able to resist sunlight.

But a light pinch from her almost made his cultivation plummet several levels.

If he provoked this little missus, hiss!!

He didn’t dare think about the consequences, truly didn’t dare.

And that missus was the real mother of the current witch performing the ritual, known to be fiercely protective.

Desolate Village Ghost closed his eyes, lay flat in the soil, opting for ’out of sight, out of mind.’

But, no use!

”Get up! My real mom is working so hard on the ritual, and you show no reaction at all?”

He Tiantian had been gathering herbs in the hills and just happened to pass by when she saw her own mother’s strenuous performance and noticed Desolate Village Ghost ”lying flat.”

Unsatisfied, she used the Finger Flick Technique that harnesses gathered yin energy into a small ball, hitting Desolate Village Ghost right in one of his acupoints.

Agh!

Desolate Village Ghost screamed and hurriedly jumped out of the grave mound.

”Spare me, great master, I understand now, I’ll get to work!”

Desolate Village Ghost begged desperately, while inwardly bawling: Wuu, being a century-old ghost is too suffocating.

When people mess around right at his doorstep, not only could he not protest, but he also had to help applaud!

Summoning all his soul power, the old ghost formed a visible wisp of white smoke in mid-air that drifted slightly towards Su Min.

It was as if he was saluting her or agreeing, ”I’m very satisfied with your ritual, let’s consider this matter settled!”

Su Min: ...Damn, I didn’t prepare dry ice, why is there a white mist effect?

Hiding in a corner and spying, Granny Chen kneeled down, ”Immortal Nun Su is too powerful, she really can communicate with spirits and expel ghosts!”

PS: Ah, it’s the last day, folks, don’t hold onto your monthly tickets, give them all to me, thank you, thank you!
