The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 258: Chapter 131 This Time It’s a Swindler (4)_2

”Right, right, yes, it’s Su Yong’s mother. I, I have been neighbors with his family for thirty years, we couldn’t be more familiar!”

The neighbor on the left spoke with a voice that was somewhat off-tune, and his face had turned extremely ugly.

”This, this couldn’t be a ghost possession, could it? Su Min, this child, why does she look so terrifying?”

The women in the crowd, who were already timid, felt even more terrified upon hearing it might be related to a ghost.

”Su Min, you, you little slut, you dare to pretend to be possessed and play tricks?”

Aunt was so frightened that her legs trembled, but she still mustered the strength to shout trying to expose Su Min’s lies.

What ghost possession?

There are no ghosts in this world!

If there were ghosts, if there were retributions for privacy, she, who almost starved her mother-in-law to death years ago, would have seen that dead soul come to claim her life, to seek revenge!

Swish!

Su Min, seemingly possessed, suddenly turned her head stiffly; her originally beautiful almond eyes now resembled those of a terrifying zombie.

”Chen Aifen, you wicked and disloyal woman, you starved me to death. Previously, I didn’t come to claim your life considering you gave birth to two sons for the Su family, but you didn’t repent. Do you really think there are no consequences in this world?”

Saying so, Su Min raised her hand and lightly pointed.

Boom~

Aunt’s clothes suddenly caught fire.

”Ah~~~”

Aunt let out a scream like a slaughtered hen.

She jumped up and down, desperately slapping at the burning pocket of her clothes.

Perfectly good clothes, they caught fire just like that, the sight was incredibly astonishing.

It was just like magic.

But, everyone knows, magic tricks are deceptive, generally involving cooperation between the magician and the so-called ”audience.”

And since Aunt and Su Min were sworn enemies, she couldn’t possibly cooperate with her.

Moreover, why would she burn herself just to comply with someone else?

Just to boost the reputation of Su Min the witch?

The crowd was first astonished and fearful, but Aunt’s pig-slaughter-like screams and cries for help woke them up.

They hurriedly splashed water where needed and helped pat out the flames.

After much struggle, the fire on Aunt’s clothes was finally extinguished.

A good piece of clothing was burned half-way, exposing Aunt’s dark, plump flesh.

Aunt’s face was stained with soot, washed away by tears into streaks, looking somewhat disheveled, comical.

But she didn’t care about any of that, she fell to her knees, muttering, ”Don’t come for me, don’t come for me!”

”It wasn’t me who harmed you, it wasn’t me, it was, it was the head of the household, he said you were old, useless, alive you were just a waste of food!”

”Woo woo, it really wasn’t my fault. Mother-in-law, if you want to blame someone, blame your own son, I’m just an outsider. This family is still under your son’s control!”

Aunt was truly terrified, continuously kowtowing to Su Min while revealing a truth that made everyone gasp.

Su Yong... he was already petrified with fear, where would he have the mind to settle scores with his wife?

”Mom, I was wrong! I, I know I was wrong!”

”But I am your own son, our family was also in difficulty, I, I really had no other choice!”

”Mom, rest assured, I, I will fix your grave right away, I will burn paper money for you, you, you take the paper money and talk to King Yan, let him reincarnate you into a good life!”

Su Yong was kowtowing in apology and making all sorts of promises, uttering all kinds of nonsense that was just absurd to listen to.

What King Yan, what reincarnation, really—

Wait a minute.

It might actually be possible.

Now that Su Yong’s mother could possess Su Min’s body, it meant that ghosts truly exist in this world.

So, underworld retribution, ghosts seeking revenge...these kinds of folk tales, they’re all true.

”Su Yong, you unfilial, good-for-nothing scumbag, you still dare to talk about fixing graves and burning paper?”

”During these years since I died, have you ever visited my grave or burned paper money for me? Pitiful me, having sons and grandsons, but after death not receiving any ancestral offerings!”

”Thankfully, Min is a good child, still remembering to burn something for me. Yet, such a good child, you, you beast, also want to bully!”

”I’m laying down the law here, I burned the firewood stack, I beat up your family of four!”

”Hmph, if you dare bully Min girl again, if you dare be unfilial, if you dare act foolishly, next time it won’t just be firewood stacks and clothing that gets burned!”

After saying all this, Su Min’s body shook a few times and then, as if her bones and tendons had been drained out, she collapsed limply.

Some kind-hearted and quick-reacting people in the crowd, seeing Su Min like this, rushed up and caught her.
